Rachel and her staff are some of the finest Pilates instructors I have found. I have been doing Pilates for about 11 years. The owner, Rachel, is wonderful and very caring. Articulations has a studio downtown Riverside and a new studio in Jurupa Valley off Limonite next to Wells Fargo. They not onLH offer Pilates but also Suspension Pilates and Barre classes. I took Pilates with Tricia and she is amazing and knows really well what she does. She is very precise and tries to listen to all your physical ailments. I took pilates before, but I loved the individual attention I got from the one on ones. She taught me how to articulate my muscles together, especially my core. Unfortunately, I developed severe knee pain and back pain and have to lay off pilates, but for those of you that are healthy and have no chronic problems, pilates is the best way to stay fit and keep your core strong. read more

I took a barre class here in my search for the perfect studio for me, the teacher (Nikki) was super sweet and explained everything so clearly. It was a great space and I loved how small the class was with only 5 students! It was a very clean space and they made sure to review my sign-in sheet to make sure that I was supported. I bought a 5-card pass. Then, I ended up with a torn tendon. I did not realize that the pass expired. When I went back the instructor told me they needed to talk to the owner. When the owner called me back I felt like I was being interrogated. Also, the hard sell to buy more. When I did not want to buy more and only wanted to use what I had purchased it felt like I was being granted a tremendous favor. Really???? I paid for the stupid card. I decided not to go back!!!! I don't need the attitude. Maybe they should call the studio "Attitude" Pilates instead of "Articulations". read more

I found this studio on Yelp and decided to try a class. It was my first time taking a Barre class and I loved it - the instructor was awesome and everyone there was super nice and welcoming. I ended up buying a set of 5 lessons, and have gone back 2 times since. Each time with a different instructor, and each time was a great experience. read more

I enjoyed attending the open mat class here! I was gifted a 5 class pass and had plenty of time to use the pass because of their open schedule. Having only gone 5 times, I met three different instructors and felt comfortable with each one. The staff is amazing, and their classes are very well priced for the class you get. They have a beautiful and well thought out studio and offer individual or group classes, as often or as frequent as you like. She is a great instructor who is patient, encouraging but will still continue to push and support you. The studio is beautiful and simple. Everyone there has never been anything less than courteous, genuine and friendly. For those that find it expensive, I am a firm believer in you pay for what you get. While other local gyms may offer group Pilates classes I can assure you that those classes are NOTHING like the ones at Articulations (I know, I've tried them). The attention you receive by the instructors on your form, breathing and connections is something you will not experience at your local gym. I love this place so very much! I take the pilates at the barre class and it's a great workout. The classes are small, no more than 8-9 ppl and the instructors are very attentive, providing feedback and correcting your form. I only took one class( Pilates at the barre) and WOW what a work out, I was very sore the next day, but a good sore :) I loved the small class size (there were around 8 other people, besides myself) and individual attention the teachers give to each student. I love my pilates class. The instructor is very knowledgeable and always checked to be sure that I was not in any pain (I've suffered a back injury in the past). The time went by so fast I was suprised that an hour had passed. The workout was very complete, as evidenced by my sore muscles the next day, but I can't wait to return. She has created a calming space, trained and recruited detail oriented, professional and caring instructors, and provides many options for you to get the best out of your workout. Pilates seems to be pricey wherever you go, but your money is best spent on the kind of individualized attention you get with Tricia and her staff. There is a great vibe here, a sense of community, and no nasty gym feel. Instructors here encourage you to work at your level, while motivating you to maintain form and proper breathing technique. Special attention is paid to any joint, neck, back issues. I have no qualms about my feelings of life transformation through Pilates with Tricia at Articulations. The mental focus and gentle, but effective, physical activity is suitable for all ages and lifestyles and has made me sharper and stronger in just a few weeks.
