Those that did show up gave estimates that either didn't include some of the work that I needed or were just too much. One estimate was so much that we didn't get past the front yard! Then I met Frank Hernandez from Hats Off Landscaping. My Neighbor and I were impressed with Frank and believed his estimates were reasonable. We hired his company. We had sod installed in our shared front lawn. In my front yard, the stump of a tree was removed and a new tree was planted (to the delight of the HOA, I'm sure!) I had a flower bed installed in my backyard from fence to fence. My backyard flooded every time it rained because roots from every surrounding tree took over my drainage system. When other landscapers told me that they would have to break through existing concrete, and charge thousands more than I could afford, Frank took the time to work through the issues and present me with a workable solution that was within my budget. I'm no longer worried about the foundation of my home being overrun with water. I can look outside my window and be proud of my backyard and I no longer feel like I have the worst yard on my block. Frank and his crew worked 10 to 12 hour days so they would not leave the project they began each day undone. The result of their hard work is worth the time and frustration it took to finally find them. The quality of their work is above par! Rafa, You sir, are an Angel! I don't like that I have to put a star rating because there is no work to rate but this rating is for the lack of follow-up. UPDATE: Frank, I understand. Maybe just call or text and say, "I'm super busy but you're still on my radar!" Or something to that effect. I still need to get the work done and I even let you know that it wasn't a big rush so I'm not being impatient, just expected to at least have a follow-up. I work a whole bunch too...but I do try to make room for follow-ups for sure.

He paid attention to the full system including trenching, irrigation layout, gas line installation for the fire pit, plant placement, lighting, and more, making sure everything worked together piece by piece. Me and Javier negotiated a price of $750 for him to finish the border of the concrete around my…read moreentire property between the concrete and the fence line which was roughly about 6 inches to 10 inches around the whole perimeter of my backyard. The back of my backyard butts up against the street and they really was no dirt for the rock to sit on. Javier knew to put dirt and fill that area so the new rock would not fall out between my property and the rear fence. After the winter, all the rock started coming out the back of the property onto the street because Javier never put any dirt underneath it where he was supposed to. I sent him photos and asked him if he would fix this and he denied it and said that he put dirt there when you can clearly see there is no dirt there. Now all the rock is falling out. After he told me he put the dirt there I went and really looked again really hard and already knew there was none there and then sent the video showing Javier that there was no dirt. After that, Javier never responded and will not answer my calls. Would not recommend him. I have to put one star to post the review otherwise I would put zero sad to say.
