While we were there, one woman was gleefully surveying the book offerings of a really niche category of interest and was fretting over which books to get because she wanted them all. Much more than your average used book store! The books are reasonably priced, but the kicker is that the proprietor is old school and only accepts cash or checks. We didn't have enough cash on hand, so I sadly put my two book choices back on the shelves. The proprietor didn't greet us at all, just sat behind his desk and read the paper, and gruffly handling transactions. Normally I'd knock a shop for that, but it's just part of the charm. The other major downside is that it's up a big flight of stairs in a building with no elevator, and it's not air conditioned, so it can get very hot in the summer. Worth stopping in, but hit up the ATM first.

A perfect idea to open this bookshop in the same building as the cafe. Browse and find that next book you want to read before enjoying a coffee and breakfast or lunch. Worth a visit!

I have followed them on social media and have been wanting to bring my wife here due to her loving books. We came a little later in the day so the cafe will need to be a future visit. I love the fact they had it though and look forward to coming back. It's two levels with the second level being dedicated to kids books. My wife enjoyed our time here browsing the books. The shop is on the smaller side and during a busy day some of the areas may feel a bit congested. They did have a couple chairs around inside as well as a few small tables outside too. Due to the small size you may not find every new release or trendy book but overall it is such a cozy and inviting bookshop you must visit!

A nice selection of books and gifts as well as some artwork. Not all the usual junk found in a lot of tourist traps. Yes there are things like post cards and playing cards but a nice selection of books and some cute Christmas cards also. It was formerly a blacksmith shop and had been in the family since 1902.

Firstly you will likely be greeted by the most adorable little greeter dog Stella (she loved scratches and attention). Even worth visiting just to meet her! Book wise and overall vibes wise though must be given credit as well. Overall small space but well decorated and well utilized despite the smaller size. Being an older building some spots the floors creek but just adds to the character of the store. They had a great variety on shelves of many genres and a table with many of the popular and trendy books of now. Books were well priced from what I saw. They do also have some goods that are non book related including less chemical based healthier versions of soap, body wash, laundry wash, etc. My wife snagged a book she has been wanting to read for quite awhile.
