Well my experience with them was not good. My new dishwasher…read morewas supposed to be delivered between 8 and 10 am this morning. I paid for delivery and haul away of old dishwasher. My old dishwasher was still working, but was making a lot of noise and was slowly dying. I removed my old dishwasher last night and had it sitting in my kitchen ready to be hauled away. At 8:15 am they called me and told me they accidentally sold my dishwasher to another customer, and now the don't have anymore. They apologized and said they might be able to deliver different in stock model soon if I wanted to change my order. I asked if soon, meant today. The sales person said probably not. We drove to their store, and looked at the other comparable dishwashers, but they all had features my wife did not like. So we asked how long to get another one of same model we had ordered. They said 1.5 to 2 weeks. I said, that since I didnt want to go 2 weeks without a dishwasher, I would have to re-install my old dying dishwasher and then remove it again in 2 weeks. What a PITA. I then asked for free delivery, install and haul away, since their F'up was costing a lot time and effort. The salesperson went to see if management would okay this request. Management did not. The best they would do was knock about $100 off their fees. I then canceled the order, and ordered from HD. With delivery and haul away included, it was about $60 less than Stover. Plus I could get it in 3 days. So, we got the model we wanted for less money and a much sooner delivery. So I'm not impressed with Stover's customer service, or really doing anything helpful after such a monumental F'up. I was specifically going with a local business because I thought they would have better customer service. I am very disappointed.

Knowledgeable people could help me in every department. It is not the mess I found at the other big Home products center. I often shopped on the Internet and then went in to pick up my order. Today I went in to get a part for an elderly friends walker that was broken. Finding the hardware department, a Joy offered to help me. I showed her the missing screw on the walker and she quickly realized it took a metric screw, walked to the right shelf and pulled out a screw that was the right one. Then I asked to install it and soon Shane joined us to install the missing screw! I was lucky because I went in on a Saturday just before 6 PM and the three of us fixed my handicapped friends walker in the isle. The store was quiet and Joy and Shane we not busy. Soon Share adjusted the brakes on the walker too! The attitude was that once they understood I was doing a favor for a handicapped senior, we fixed the walker together. I will be back to Lowe's.

I bought some tin snips by craftsman that have a lifetime warranty about 1.5 years ago. They are no…read morelonger cutting the way they are supposed to so I took them in to exchange them for a pair that cuts properly. Lowe's would not honor the lifetime warranty. They are 13 dollar snips that have been on sale recently for 3 dollars. Obviously not a high end item. I will not shop there again. And I will urge others to do the same. I bought the item because the lifetime warranty. I called craftsman and they are honoring the warranty no questions asked. Don't shop here if you can help it.

This process from beginning to end was much easier than we expected. The design team listened to our wants and needs and worked with us to come up with the perfect design and Natalie was always available to trouble shoot solutions to any concerns. The previous time many years ago when he was first starting, and even then his good character and business sense stood out to me. It's probably why I reached out to him again. Growing up as a "cop's daughter" sometimes my second-hand jadedness towards seemingly good character arouses my doubts. But if Jared is not genuine then I don't know who is. My grandfather was a general contractor, and I myself worked for a medium-sized commercial contractor for a short while so I am somewhat familiar with the challenges in organizing the work, including managing subcontractors. Jared's communication and management style is such a breath of fresh air. You just want to get behind his local business and see it continue to grow. Communicating to some of the general contractors in and outside the Corvallis-Albany-Salem area as the pandemic winds down, I now think the safer bet is to go big with Thayer Construction when the time comes. Just get all the jobs and remodeling done at once with him or not at all.
