One of the things that I love and have always loved about this practice is that they know exactly who you are when you walk in. Another thing I love is that I have never waited long to be seen. Ever. I've had the same hygienist for a few years now and she is wonderful and gets the job done. I love being able to ask questions and not feel rushed about it. There is always a little bit of unease when practices switch practitioners and I have friends that have not had great experiences when things change. I needed to find a new Dentist this year and decided to give them a try based upon a friend's recommendation - they have a family member that goes here and had nothing but good things to say. I called to confirm that the Dentist was taking new patients and that my insurance was accepted. I was able to make an appointment for a cleaning. Of course, as a new patient, this was not an in-and-out visit. I had to sit through the new set of x-rays, scans and thorough examination prior to commencing with the cleaning. Once all of the preliminaries were completed, I was presented with a treatment care plan with the itemized service prices, not including any extras like medicated mouth wash. All of my questions were answered satisfactorily so I decided to proceed with the deep cleaning, which seemed to go well. I didn't experience any issues during or afterwards. I needed to make a follow-up appointment for fixing a couple of dental carries. At the second appointment, I was presented with the cost for the treatment plan again and proceeded with the treatment. The procedure seemed to go smoothly. I seemed to be in and out within a reasonable amount of time. I didn't experience any issues during or afterwards. The billing from insurance on the cleaning arrived and everything was as anticipated. The billing for the second visit hasn't arrived yet so hopefully, there are no issues with. I was originally scheduled for next week, but that conflicted with my work schedule, so they moved me to today with a different hygienist for my routine cleaning (which I do every three months due to a genetic condition). The experience was unacceptable. Alejandro was extremely rough during the measurements, handling my mouth in a way that felt careless and painful. During the cleaning, he left multiple instruments in my mouth at once to the point where I felt like I was choking. I noted that and he still didn't do anything, he's new, poorly trained, young man. I ended up leaving in the middle of the procedure and will not be returning. To make matters worse, this hygienist--who seemed inexperienced--suggested I might have a cavity in my front teeth, despite the fact that I get X-rays at every visit and pay significant out-of-pocket costs for thorough care. This experience was deeply disappointing and concerning. I have no intention of returning, and I will be pursuing this matter through my lawyer.

Last year, I received bills for which I did not owe. It took a lot of time, including visits to their office, to get the statements straightened out. This year, their office staff has dwindled, which I believe is part of their troubles. This year, I have had problems with scheduling. I have needed two crowns, both of them did not arrive from the lab in the two weeks promised. I showed up for my appointment to get the first crown seated, only to be told that it had not arrived. I had received no calls or messages, so my appointments (and my schedule) had to be changed. My second crown has yet to appear, but this time I did receive a call. Apparently, no one is able to track these shipments, so it comes to guesswork. I told them that I need to make a trip in the next few days, but there was nothing to do but wait! Another thing that has changed is that the dental staff seems to be disorganized. The assistants have trouble finding the materials and implements that should be at their fingertips. Does not exude competence and efficiency! I am searching for another provider.
