I spent over 500 on five sets of mouth guards. Just recently I lost them in some random box. I asked them to remake my lower gaurd for me. Just for them to tell me I need to come in for etc etc etc bs. Can you just make me what I'm missing and not try to charge me over 500 for a single visitor for one damn simple thing. This policy and conformity of the system just to take more money from us. After all I paid out of pocket and no insurance for years down to all the McLays ect. Like the f. F that place. Gonna charge me an arm and a leg for something I HAVE but can't find when you can just make me a simple temp replay until I find the rest of my four sets. Collins dental and fn weeks. I did a course of Invisalign at Collins Dental and it was... okay. The Pros: - Everyone at the office is friendly and welcoming - They have freshly baked cookies every day - Dr. Collins is professional and knowledgeable - I *mostly* got my teeth straightened The Cons: - They are very hands off; I saw them a total of once during my actual treatment (halfway through). In fairness, I was told I could call in at any time. - My first real problem started when I finished my treatment. They had a trainee scan my teeth for the permanent retainer, who spent 15 mins waving the wand around in my mouth. The trainee was being monitored, but after all that work, something that important should have been done directly by a dentist. Additionally, the attachments weren't removed first, which meant they were digitally removed later, this could also be part of why I had trouble later. - My retainers ended up being very tight and painful to wear. I made a follow-up appointment and several calls regarding them, and was told they are fine and that Vivera retainers take 'some getting used to.' However, I then began to develop staining on my front teeth and tooth sensitivity, which I've never had in my life. I made another call and was told in order to be helped, I had to make an appointment for a cleaning (not included in my plan), so that they can polish off the stains and examine my teeth. - The cleaning ended up costing $500, I was upsold a ~$70 electric toothbrush which I was told would help with staining (it did not). I was also told that cleaning my retainers with dish soap was the cause of the problem, so I started using retainer tablets instead, but the stains returned shortly after. - I realized the retainers WERE the issue, and told them I want to get rescanned for new ones. I was charged an additional $320 for them*, and had to toss out the old set. However, due to the pain, I'd stopped wearing the retainers as consistently, and my teeth had shifted. *(Again, being fully fair, they agreed to refund me $290 for my first set of retainers, but ended up just wiping out a $250 balance for my cleaning. Letting me absorb the $40 difference) - I then asked if I had any refinement trays included to fix the shifting, but was told my case had expired. - I found out the office had elected to use Invisalign Go (a lite version that expires a year after its start, despite the fact my invoice says 'Invisalign - Regular Case'). The standard Invisalign version expires after five years. For the curious, I was charged $5400 for a short 6 month treatment plan and 12 trays (Online estimates how that Invisalign Go should cost $3k-$4k, and that it cost the office ~$1k to purchase them). However, even that limited plan should have left me plenty of time to get my refinement ordered. Except: My initial complaints about the retainer, staining, sensitivity, and discomfort were waved away for months. When I finally requested a rescan for new retainers, I was not told my teeth had shifted, though it should have been clear to them they had. I requested my scans months before my expiration to verify what I was seeing, but was repeatedly told the scans are 'too difficult to send.' When I finally got them in March (after pushing) I could clearly see they had shifted. But my case had expired in January. The reason I chose this office was because it was $500 dollars cheaper than an orthodontist's quote I received. However, the orthodontist offered a comprehensive plan of Invisalign & 1 free set of retainers, and I'm certain I would not have had the issues I did with staining and tooth sensitivity had I gone there. On top of that, I ended up paying an additional (~$600 for retainers, $500 for a cleaning, and another $70 for a toothbrush), essentially making this option more expensive. And at the end of it, my teeth aren't fully straight, which was the whole point of doing this. I still quite like Dr. Collins and the office, but I'm not exactly happy, so three stars. *Edit: was provided a $1260 refund for inconveniences suffered. read more

I've never been to a dentist's office and thought "Wow!". Until today that is. The waiting room is gorgeous! The receptionist was very welcoming and they have free crackers and other snacks, another first. Dr. Reiter has been my dentist for a few years, but recently moved to this practice and I followed, as he meets my reqs for a dentist: gentle, careful and nice. The hygienist Sarah was also super, I was nervous since she was new for me, but she put me to ease instantly with her personality and then followed thru by not hurting me. We have used Dr Collins for years and have been happy until now. My elderly mother (82 years old) was told she needed a waterpik when she was there three weeks ago for a routine dental cleaning. They sold her one for $80.00 however, when she got home she found that it was too complicated for her to use. I went over to see my mom and together we opened the box, never taking anything out of the sealed bag but just slid it out of the box to look at it and my mom said she could not see where to put the water in and figure it out. Keep in mind, she is 82, has limited vision, cannot read well and certainly does not drive. I told my mom that I would return it to Dr. Collins' office and obtain a refund because it was never opened or used. I went to the office and explained the details of the situation with the woman at the front desk. She saw that nothing had been opened or touched but said that she didn't think it could be returned but would call the Director. She then went on to tell me it was a good waterpik and I replied that I am sure it is but my mother cannot see well and cannot navigate it. I also said at her age she needs things to be very simple. She asked if anyone in the family could use it and I said no. I had the receipt and just asked for the money to be refunded to her credit card. The Director then called and told her that it could not be returned because they do not accept any returns. I told her that I was very disappointed at how this is being handled because if you sell items as an office then you should also accept returns. My mother is older and probably should not have been sold this product. I asked if there was anything we could work out or someone else I could speak with because I felt that the product was in perfect condition and could be re-sold and was told no. I left the office very frustrated and felt that this was handled very unprofessionally. This will make us rethink our return to Dr. Collins' office. read more

My husband is an established patient at Collins Dental. I love my dentist but she was on vacation and does not do extractions. A few days ago, I had a failed root canal at Winter Springs Endodontics that required an extraction. I called around to the recommended oral surgeons and they couldn't get me in for weeks and I was very uncomfortable. My husband called Collins and explained my situation and without hesitation they scheduled me for the next morning. Everyone was so friendly, compassionate and kind throughout my entire visit. I finally made the switch to Collins after being unhappy with my dentist for way too long. I actually did a consult with Dr. Azer, and the assistant gave me such a thorough walk-through of the office, introductions to the docs and staff, and talked to me about all the ways Collins Dental gives back to the community. It was such a nice experience! Dr. Azer is so gentle, calming, and I really felt like she took the time to listen to my concerns. I've grown to be not so fond of the dentist after a few root canals after my daughter was born, and Dr. Azer was very reassuring. I just had my first filling yesterday with her, and honestly, I can't believe how easy it went!? I've already made appointments for my kids to switch to Collins. Next is my husband. I tried out a few other, less impressive dental offices in town. I knew this was the dental family for me on my first visit. Every appointment since then has been a breeze, and I've had a lot done this year! I have so much less anxiety about my visits and have never, not once, had an issue with dental work done. After reading reviews and asking FB recommendations, I've finally had my chance to try this local dentist place near our home. Honestly, my first cleaning appt was TERRIFIC!!! From walking in the front desk thru all the process I am totally WOWED with how they handle their clients. This clinic is offering UP-to-date facilities and to TASHA - - - thank you soooooo much for taking care of me during my visit. I was lucky enough to meet Dr. Collins as well. I was pleasantly surprised by all aspects of this practice but practice is an incorrect word, the entire staff has fine tuned everything they do to near perfection. I was in for 2 root canals from metal fillings that has fallen out. Everything was painless from the novacane to drilling and reshaping. I have a beard and mustache and they took extra care not to pull hair. Their office is state of the art with every and all amenities one could think of even heated and massaging chairs. I didn't shop price once I spoke to the receptionist I was hooked,and You will be too. I am deathly afraid of dental drills due to bad experience but I could barely hear theirs, they also offer headphones that can connect to your music or the tv above your chair and on the wall. read more

I have been coming to Collins dental since I moved to the area to attend UCF back in 2010. I have always had a great experience while coming here. Going to the dentist isn't always fun, but they make the experience the best possible. Haley is my hygienist of choice. She is so friendly and does a great job. My husband comes here and gets the nitrous gas to ease his anxiety - he has never had a bad experience either. I never thought I would say I love my dentist's office but ... I love my dentist's office. Collins Dental always takes their time when I am in there. I never have to wait more than a few minutes upon arrival. Once in the chair they review my chart with me to make sure they have identified my concerns. I struggled for years finding a dentist I was comfortable with. I had so many fears and anxiety but the staff here knows just what to do to put you at ease! I'm able to be seen promptly, the office is clean, neat and welcoming. I had to get lumineers fixed and when the replacement for one came in I just wasn't happy.. Dr. Collins right away said we can send it back we'll get you something you like... Instead of convincing me it looked good, I didn't feel pressured to like it. They listen to you, and I never felt rushed. I mean, it's your smile...you want this to go right! When I walked up to the reception desk, I was greeted with a big smile and, "Good afternoon, Mrs. Hayes! I saw your car pull into the parking lot, so I went ahead and checked you in." All I had to do was sit down for about a minute before they came to walk me into the exam room. Everyone did their job quickly and efficiently, and in a very warm and upbeat manner. Ok, I admit it, going to the dentist is not exactly at the top of my list of fun things to do in Orlando. However, when you do need to go, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Collins. They are a bit more expensive than other dentists so I usually end up having to pay something in addition to my insurance, but they are worth it. I was there this week to replace an old filing. My appointment was at 3:40 so arrived around 3:30 to a packed office. I overheard the receptionist say that they had numerous emergencies today so I assumed I was in for a wait. I waited about 30 minutes past my appointment time, when I was called back. The first thing Dr. Collins did was apologize for the wait and hand me two tickets to Regal Cinemas. Now, I've waited much longer for a doctor or dentist before and not gotten so much as an apology. What I appreciate the most is that they recognize my time is valuable and my day does not revolve around my dentist appointment. Most of the my doctors / dentists feel like their time is much more important than mine so if I have to wait, well then that's just the way it is. I've been to this dentist for several cleanings, a crown and now a filing, and each time has been wonderful. Let me just tell you that I felt comfortable from the time I walked through the front door. EVERYONE I crossed paths with had a huge and perfect (or damn close to it) smile on their face, but not in the "I must smile big because I work for a dentist kind of way." Here are my visit highlights.. Staff is talkative but not in an obtrusive way....they actually appear to want to get to know you. Collins Dental uses digital x-rays - clear pictures, less radiation TV's mounted in front of the dental chairs to keep you entertained while getting worked on. I moved to Orlando a while ago and have been meaning to find a new dentist in town. I got a Groupon for Collins Dental and couldn't have been happier with my visit! Collins Dental has a very nice building/office, the staff is extremely friendly and I liked how technologically advanced their tools were. I also liked the fact that I never felt pressured to do any extra cosmetic dental work and that the work they said I needed done was very honest. This office treats their patients incredibly well! They are always accommodating with specific appointment needs. All of the staff here are professional and friendly. They do not recommend work that is unnecessary. I never feel rushed and yet they are timely with appointments. My entire family goes to this office and we see different dentists due to schedules, and we are all pleased. Each dentist takes the time to explain what is needed. I have seen other dentists both locally and in other cities. This is by far the best experience I have ever had! We have been with this office more than two years and we never miss our two cleanings each year, as well as Invisalign appointments and always leave happy!
