The staff is incredible however they are incredibly understaffed when it comes to pedicures. Which is not their fault they just need to hire more people. I also would say that the pedicure was a little lackluster as no cuticles or anything like that were trimmed and there were no nail trimming it was all filing. I had a haircut with Aimee today and I must say I was so impressed! I've been to a lot of salons, most of them fairly high end and Aimee gave me a haircut that was just as good, if not better than those fancy stylists. Plus, her price tag is outrageously affordable. For the amount of time and care she spent cutting my hair, it was an incredible deal. I can't tell you how many times I've given very detailed instructions on how I'm hoping to have my hair cut and then the stylist ignores half of it. Not with Aimee, she gave me exactly what I asked for! Even keeping my hair from getting too tangly in the rinse bowl (it tangles so easily!). Don't judge this salon by the outside cover. The inside is lovely and I love that they use Aveda products. Needless to say, I'll be returning here! read more

*Update* Salon owners handled this situation extremely well. I appreciated their professionalism and follow-through. I have added another star to my rating. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As with many Salons, who you see here is of the utmost importance. Unfortunately it seems I was put with a lass skilled stylist and suffered the consequences. I have extremely short "pixie hair" and the first thing I asked when I called in was if they could put me with someone who was skilled at cutting short hair. Here's a quote from my stylist halfway through my cut "short hair is so much harder that long hair, long hair you just cut in a strait line." When cutting the back of my hair, the stylist used a mix of a razor and shears. When she turned me around to view the back, there were visible steps in my hair between lengths. Once I asked her to do more blending she said, "oh yeah, it's too steppy!" I was just curious why she would have turned me around as though she were finished if she knew she hadn't done a satisfactory job in the first place? My other big issue are my sideburns, which I originally asked to be longer. They are now too short to fix until they grow out longer. One is cut at an angle, one is cut strait. They were each cut one after the other again and again as the stylist tried to make them level, until they are now sitting above my check bones. This was the worst haircutting experience I have had. I say this, because I have never cried after leaving a haircutting appointment. I wish I would have been put with someone with more skill. My hair is so short that I will have to wait a few months before I can have someone fix it, and I will not be returning to the artisan hair salon when that time comes. read more

My 5 yr old daughter and I went to get manicures and pedicures for her birthday. I was told to plan on it taking two hours but we were there less than an hour. None of my nails were trimmed and I didn't get my legs or hands massaged or lotioned at all. ALL of my nails and my daughters nails look horrible, the nail polish was not even and was very thick in some parts and didn't even cover my entire nail. I can't just 'fix' our nails, I have to remove everything. What a waste of time and money. read more

It was a good experience getting my nails done. I got OPI big apple red and Mickey did a nice job on me. Having my acrylic nails with this red polish on them has made me feel put together. I had a great experience with her doing my acrylic nails. I am a male and I felt really great getting My nails done with some length. I feel the best. Having red nails like this as a mail is one of the most privileged things I could ever have. Not to put anyone down but Most men can't make the nail color stuff look as nice on themselves because A lot of times too hairy on the body and the lack of proper skin tone as well as texture. read more

I never write reviews, but my experience was so bad I have to. My friend and I went and got our nails done together. The appointment took 3 1/2 hours!! There wasn't even a wait! She spend 2 1/2 hours on my friends nails which turned out okay, and 1 hour on mine, which turned out HORRIBLE. We got acrylic, but it really was a builder gel. I asked for square shaped, but she made them all crooked and diagonal. Gel polish all over my cuticles and fingers. A blue mark on my thumb nail from another gel polish, and it won't come off. All of them different lengths. DON'T GO HERE. It's a waste of money and time. I regret going here and I never will again. I called and asked for a refund and she got defensive saying it was my fault I didn't tell her to fix it while I was there. read more

Angie took such good care of me! I was visiting from out of town and had gotten a really disappointing, uneven trim for my pixie cut at a different salon earlier the same day. In the evening my husband and I saw Artisan on the way to dinner and we turned around just to see if they had time to fix it. Not only did Angie have awesome short hair of her own (always a good sign for the short hair club--good pixie stylists are hard to come by), but she took five minutes to save the day despite being booked out. I have had Kim cut my hair for years and when I heard the news that she was going to open up her own salon I was very very excited. I think that she made a very wise decision in opening her own place that has all of the things that you could want in a Salon. Even though I'm a guy, I have had pedicures, waxing done along with color to my hair and a hair cut. All of it has been awesome! I love this salon and always tell my friends that they should come her to get pampered and taken care of. They will always be happy with the service. Call them to schedule an appointment! So I came to town for my stepdaughter's wedding and needed to get a nice blow out and style for the occasion. I looked around my area and found this salon to have good reviews and it was like 5 minutes away. I called and spoke with Aimee Carson and she booked my appointment. When I arrived Amiee was very friendly and had a warm smile! She made me feel right at home as if I had been an old client or good friend. She gave me a BEAUTIFUL style with lots of bounce and pretty curl! She did it just the way I asked, and even added more when I said I liked my curl away from my face. Walked in looking for a last minute haircut for my daughter before she went away to camp for a week. They were awesome and accommodating and took us back immediately. In the hour we had they were able to give my daughter, who has very thick hair, a shorter style she loves, and will hopefully be easier for her to care for. I had my first eyelash set here. I didn't know what to expect and thought, mistakenly, that everything would be explained to me but it wasn't, sadly. My whole appointment took 4 HOURS! Not even exaggerating. My appointment started at 4 and I didn't leave till 8PM. She kept telling me my eyelashes were already really long and I didn't really even need lenghth which is what I went in telling her I wanted. I just don't feel that's a good way to treat a customer who is willing to pay a lot of money for something they want. I went in knowing what I wanted and I didn't want to be told otherwise. The gal didn't even like doing lashes, she told me that!! I wont ever go to someone who doesn't have a passion for their work again. My whole experience start to finish was disappointing. read more

The salon has great stylists, but you need to watch and make sure they do what you ask for. I went in and asked them to bleach a large portion of my hair (from about 5 inches from my roots down). I went into the salon understanding that for how light I wanted to go (my hair is naturally black), it would take a couple processes. Because what I was asking for is a very stark and literal ombre, I brought several pictures to make sure she knew what I was going for. When my hair was all dry hours later, I realized that almost 50% of my hair had not been bleached at all, so I was instead extremely stripey on only sections of my hair. I went back the next morning and spoke to her again, and it was clear she misunderstood what I was asking for, despite the photos and my descriptions. She said she could try and fix it, but that it would be damaging. It was clear they would not be able to safely fix my hair, so I spent the next couple weeks waiting for a call back from the manager while I decided what to do with my hair. Artisan offered to have me come back to try to fix the hair, or give me deep conditions, etc. etc. Like with any business more service is a good first thing to offer customers, but since I didn't really want to go back to the salon who did this to my hair in the first place, I decided to pursue a refund instead, which is also common for customer service at businesses when the business messes up. The customer service went from friendly to condescending and stubborn during the phone call. I explained the situation yet again, only to be met with accusations that I didn't understand what I was asking for, and that the salon had done nothing wrong. I attempted over and over to clarify that what I had asked for was clearly different from what I got. I tried to be as specific as I could about the fact that I understood that it would be damaging. I thanked the salon for offering me other services, but that I had decided that I would feel much happier if I just got my money back from the single appointment, and that I wasn't even asking for the stylist's tip that I left her (if I remember correctly, I left her 15-20%). At some point I even gave up on getting a full refund and asked what I would have to do to even get a PORTION of my money back. I just kept getting told that I was the one that didn't understand. It was an awful experience, and the phone conversation ended with me frustrated and crying and the owner eventually just hung up on me. The owner Kim completely disregards standard business ethics and will not refund even if the salon makes a clear mistake. I've been going to this salon for years now and have always been pleased with my hair. This one time I clearly didn't get what I asked for, and when I asked for a refund I got a nightmare of condescension and was told to "do what I have to do" and that I wouldn't get my money back. I'm sad and frustrated that they messed up my hair. If you've had a bad coloring experience, you know how it feels. But the reason I am poorly reviewing this company is their refusal to properly take responsibility. 1.They clearly made a mistake on my hair that they cannot fix without damaging my hair more than if they had done it right in the first place. 2.They have lost my trust and put the blame 100% on me, making it sound like I changed my mind after the fact, when I was very clear from the beginning. 3.Instead of taking responsibility and giving me a refund (what any business would do when their customer is not satisfied with the service), the owner was condescending and hung up on me. At this point I really hope that the talented stylists at Artisan can work for a different company with proper business ethics. You'll probably have a good experience, but if not, don't expect them to be understanding and fair. Proceed with caution. read more

Not impressed at all!! Sat in the lobby 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there. The other lady in the lobby ended up walking out because she was being treated the same way. My appointment started 20 minutes after my scheduled time. Only one sink was working so when they went to wash my hair, another stylists walked up with her client and sat her client in the chair to wash out color, even though we were standing their first. Will never go again or recommend it to anyone. read more

I have been going to Kim literally my whole life, have strayed a few times and have had friends do my hair but Kim always gives me what I want! she is always on the same page with me and knows that my long blonde hair is part of who I am and won't ever cut it or dye it! she also keeps my hair SUPER healthy by using proper technique and top of the line products. my ENTIRE family loves Kim, but Angie is where it's at for men's cuts! my boyfriend, my dad, my brother, and all of their friends won't let anyone touch their hair. both ladies are amazing at everything they do, would recommend this salon to anyone! read more
