Other salons only go to 24", and I am not willing to chop 6" or more after all this work. Ottalaus has been a dream find. You can head every convo throughout the salon because of the wide open space and you literally can stare at the people on the other side of you due to poor positioning of chairs/mirrors. The floors were dirty, there was hair and dust on the cabinets at opening, AND the BIGGEST issue I noticed that there were no sanity stations for scissors or brushes. My hairstylist used a curling brush that had hair already in it! I'm praying it was only used on freshly washed hair, but still I don't think that's acceptable. As far as my stylist, I'm happy with her and her providing me with the services I scheduled. The service was slightly more than the lists prices online so they should update the pricing. Since I liked the stylist I will give it another try but the salon isn't something itself I look forward to entering again.

Your position is that there's nothing wrong with the haircut itself and that I don't know how to style it. ok, I'll bite. for the sake of argument, let's assume that's true.... It doesn't change the fact that this is objectively not the haircut I asked for or agreed to receive. on that basis alone, I am owed a refund due to service not as described. it doesn't matter if u think u can "make it better". improving something bad doesn't make it good, just makes it less bad. if you had any ground (or documentation) to stand on, u wouldnt have lost the case. Policy is not law. There must be exceptions for certain cases when mistakes are made. and you need to have discernment to know the difference from when someone's abusing the system. but that requires competency (in your field and in life), humility, and good faith. when a customer has been wronged, the burden should never fall on them to figure out a resolution that works for the business. It should be the other way around. why do i even have to explain this. If I were in your position, I would be mortified to hear a customer had this experience. my priority would be to understand what would make the situation right for them and do everything reasonably possible to make that happen. I personally would have offered a refund AND an adjustment. But ironically, that means taking accountability... fortunately for all of us, u have proven it yourself that you have never been capable of this (just a quick search to see how you respond to every bad review on here and Google) and to assume premeditation/malice is a really disappointing take on this situation and makes zero sense. why or how on earth would i plan to have a bad haircut? but if that's what were doing, i can do the same.... maybe you offer blow-outs for plausible deniability on haircuts gone wrong? maybe i wasn't shown the back on purpose so i wouldn't notice? i agree there are no winners or losers here, because at the end of the day i'd rather have my hair than a refund. but because i was so polite throughout the situation, you took advantage and at the end basically shoo'd me away & expected no consequence. the last text message you sent me speaks for itself. even a stranger was upset for me. by the way... I've been bleaching my hair for years, and unfortunately this was the worst experience I've had. The amount of bleach applied to my hair was excessive, it felt incredibly heavy while processing, and I ended up losing several inches of hair afterward due to the damage. One thing that really concerned me was that the bleach application started on the front ends of my hair. From my understanding, the ends are the most fragile part of the hair and generally shouldn't be the first area to receive bleach since they'll process the longest. Given the amount of breakage I experienced, this made me question the application technique. Because this has never happened before. I was also disappointed with the aftercare. Once my hair was washed, only a few sprays of product were applied, certainly not enough to cover my hair (real), which reaches the middle of my back. After such an intensive lightening service, I expected more conditioning and protective products to help restore moisture. Lastly, I wasn't a fan of the JZ styles shampoo and conditioner that were used. I completely understand wanting to promote and sell the salon's own product line, but when I'm paying for a professional salon service, I expect high-quality, professional salon products to be used throughout the appointment. Overall, I left with significantly damaged hair, lost length that took years to grow, and an experience that did not meet the standard I expect from a professional salon.
