Nice enough guys but they didn't fix my problem--a leak which had been diagnosed by a plumber as "Irrigation System"--which he did not touch.. Artisan's 2 guys could not locate the junction/valve control box for the irrigation system----because they did not have or bring along a tool to trace the underground wires. [in fairness, I have desert landscape and the top of the junction box is covered with crushed stone] I went on Amazon and bought an underground wire detector for $36.00. I found the junction box and the leak which were 12 feet from the anti-syphon and irrigation system shut off valve. Easy-peasy--IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TOOLS. Bottom line is that I paid $125.00 for no results. read more

He had great advice for me which actually meant he did not have to come out since my problem wasn't an irrigation problem but rather a broken water softener. Had a serious leak with my irrigation system. Used yelp project and put out a call to 5 companies for a quote. Most sent over quotes quickly. Went with Artisan as he was the first to respond and offered a good deal. Showed up on time, and replaced the valves in the box. Once we did that, leaks started popping up everywhere. Not sure why, I suppose it was the pressure from new valves? He quickly started replacing leaks and eventually we got all 4 of them repaired. I suspect the lines were old and once we fixed a leak the added pressure just blew out the next weak spot. He dead headed all the lines that were no longer needed. Very thorough job. read more

I can not say enough good things about this company and Andre. He called me back in a few minutes. I explained my issue and he came by the next day. We have had a letter every month for a year from the water company telling us we had consistently running water. I had the pool checked for leaks the auto fill valves replaced to the pool and still the letters kept coming. i never thought about the irrigation system because Sunny plumbers had severed the irrigation lines when we had work done on our front yard but they didn't repair them before putting everything back together. Andre discovered the problem within a few minutes and shut it done. I will be calling him in March to repair the lines in front so we can once again have water to the trees and bush out there. Wow! I was blown away with this company. I requested some information on yelp and Andre got back to me immediately, through the messenger service. He asked that I call him, so that I could more accurately explain what my irrigation problem was. After a brief conversation, we arranged for him to come over the next day. When he got here, I showed him my irrigation timer and explained the issues I was having (watering rocks, dying roses, and leaks). Andre didn't just walk around with a clipboard; he got down and starting digging in my front yard (with his hands!) and discovered 2 leaks that I had no idea were even there. I looked out my backyard window and noticed large Pools of water and knew something must be wrong with my irritation drip system. This happened to be at 1 o'clock in the morning and I wanted to investigate so I could determine the cause. I turned off my rain bird timer and I could still hear water coming from the drips . I decided the best thing was to turn off water at irrigation source and deal with it in the morning . At 9 o'clock I went to Yelp and searched businesses who could offer repairs. I chose Artisan South based on reviews and Andre quick response within a couple hours he was at my house I have called other irrigation people in past and received fair service . The difference in my experience with the owner, Andre was his detailed explanation of the cause . He was extremely informative and gave me many tips on caring for pipes and valves with proper insulation etc due to Las Vegas's weather. He quoted me a price and got to work afterwards we discussed used some ideas for my backyard as I really hate my overall vibe. We had a valve leak in our backyard that we decided we didn't want to deal with on our own so we turned to Yelp. We received responses from four companies. One ended up not coming out because we live in the northwest, but we received estimates from the other three. All three companies seemed reasonable and one was slightly cheaper than Artisan, but in the end we went with Artisan because Andre was very knowledgable and provided additional recommendations for ensuring our irrigation system in the yard continues to work properly. After completing the repair, we decided to ask him some questions about some other items in the yard (turf, trees, rocks), and he was more than willing to share his knowledge and recommendations for different items. Without question we would recommend Artisan for anyone with landscape issues or just questions in general. We intend to have them back out in the Spring to work on some of our other items. read more

I rarely write reviews about companies, usually because it takes time and thought. But in this instance we were very pleased with the results so wanted to reward Artisan and Andre with some comments. Andre arrived in the morning and finished the repair and inspection in a couple hours. He is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and didn't mind me hanging around watching/talking. He repaired some hose in our backyard (digging up our underground box) and inspected all of the lines to our bushes and trees. He also took apart a value in front, replacing parts instead of installing a new one, saving time and money... In addition, he found a leaking joint in the front, near the shutoff, and fixed that as well.
