I was told that the master electrician would call on Monday with my quote. Surprised by that, I asked, "why would an electrician call me when the job had nothing to do with electrical?" I could not get an answer to that. Monday comes and no call. It's now been a few weeks and I've never heard back nor received service for what I paid for. Was my first time calling looking for a new heating and cooling service. Will never call this company again. My mistake was paying the $129 before receiving what I should have received.

The work crews were ultraefficient. I worked with two main pros, and they would swarm other teammates at various times to deliver or remove new or old equipment . They also had electricians and plumbers involved because of new regulatory state or federal requirements. I chose Leblanc because: 1. Their reputation. I've worked with Leblanc on HVAC and plumbing projects. They are always responsive, whether on a current project or in cases where (my old) heater or AC would go down. When I've needed them the most they've been there. 2. They stand behind the HVAC products they sell. The product warranty was 10 years, and their labor warranty towered above their competitors. 3. This company is still family owned. You can tell. I can't say enough about the workers on this project. We have a furnace in the attic area. When I asked one of their pros how they get it up into the attic, he said "we strap it up there." I tried to slide this unit and couldn't even move it, and these two young guys pulled it right into the attic. The basement was so cold you could see your breath. So between the freezing attic, basement and outdoors they were in near freezing temps for at least 30 hours. They never complained.

Then I saw Dead River advertising $2.39/gallon. When I called Matt about matching a better rate, he initially offered $3.79, and only matched Dead River's price after I said I was leaving. The final straw was a boiler service call: The tech replaced a thermocouple, but the issue persisted. Turns out, one of our two tanks (which they've filled for years) was empty--they forgot to fill the main house tank. We were without heat and hot water during a big family gathering from out of town. As a 'will-call' customer, I was told emergency delivery would cost extra, though they provided 100 gallons as a 'courtesy.' Worst part: The thermocouple wasn't faulty; the problem was the empty tank. Yet they still charged the full service fee for diagnosing their own delivery mistake. I've switched to Dead River (along with several friends and even some Ciardelli employees I've heard from). It's disappointing--wanted to support a local, family-owned business, but I felt treated more like a profit source than a valued long-term customer.
