We decided to go with a different company this year which by the way we are very happy with. They ask twice because they really couldn't believe it was cleaned last year or even the year prior. So that being said, If you want to pay some good amount of $$ and not have the job done then Heritage is your place to go. They tried their sale pitch to add additional things to the water heater. I wouldn't trust this company and very glad we switched. They get commissions for the sales they make.

The first technician who came to assess my air conditioner left the company and it took three phone calls from me for them to finally tell me he left right after my appointment two weeks earlier. So then they sent the guy who lied to me and didn't charge me for another assessment. Why should they charge me for two assessments? It's not my fault the first man left and they didn't inform me during the 100-degree heatwave and I ended up not having air conditioning for three of the hottest weeks of this summer.

However, they are very expensive and push the boundaries of being honest and fair. We recently had a leak in our main drain pipe in the basement and called Papalia. They charge $99 for a consult, but it can be used towards repairs. They diagnosed the issue and then wrote up a proposal to fix it for $900. It sounded expensive, but we already paid the $99 and didn't want to start over again from scratch so we agreed. The plumber also misled us about how simple the fix actually was. It ended up taking him about 20 minutes to replace a 3-foot section of pipe with PVC. He also "forgot" about the $99 credit deal and tried to charge us $1000 and we had to call him on it before he would agree to honor the agreement. So they fixed the issue, the job seems to have been done well. But we way overpaid and every step of the interaction felt designed to mislead and extract as much money as possible from us. Not going to use them again in the future.
