I don't know how Manny had avoided an entry in Yelp for as long as he has been in business. I'm happy to have entered hi into the system. As Kendall A said, their breakfast burrito is one of the top in the city. And that is really saying something. Add to that their carne adovada quesadilla or tacos and you really have something. The fact that the owner was eating the carne adovada when I walked up was a pretty good indication that it was worth trying. No disappointment here, Figure out where these guys are hanging out! Never heard of him before but we went to Red Door yesterday and thankfully he was there. I was hungry and he was pretty fast with the food. I ordered a breakfast burrito and my man got the carne adovada quesadilla. Our friend got the carne adovada tacos. ABQ has quite the breakfast burrito battle every day, lucky for all of us. Do yourself a huge favor and add Manny's to your go-to list. Delightfully delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned and with excellent chile. I had green but soon learned his red is just as good. The quesadilla was just perfect. He does not skimp on the fillings and it was so frickin good!!! The tacos were equally delicious. I wanted to order something else just to try it all. As you would expect from a food truck there is a somewhat limited menu, but he makes it really worth it. This guy knows how to cook. He thanked us as he was preparing to leave when his time slot ended and we had a brief conversation with him. Nice guy, great food, good prices. Seriously - on my list, top three. Beyond the food itself, I really appreciated their mission of trying to help food truck businesses start up and the work they do within the community, including providing free pizza nights to the surrounding neighborhood. As with most weddings, I didn't get the chance to eat very much during the reception, but our guests consistently told us how much they enjoyed the food. There is something that's hard to define about made from scratch food, but you know it if you get lucky enough to get it. As I understand it, Mary has recently retired from working with Albuquerque school systems as a teacher, where she was very involved with her school's garden. She is now parlaying her love of fresh, healthy food into her catering/food truck business . Its obvious that Mary is deeply committed to serving absolutely delicious, healthy food to her customers. We had a simple tomato soup that was so good I just couldn't get enough of it. Fresh food, properly seasoned is just something my body longs for. I feel so much better after I eat it. I wish I could give you better info on where to find Mary and her Lil Red Bird Food truck, but I don't know the schedule or locations that she visits. The ticket one box said kiosk and eat in but they ignored it. No one said sorry or made any attempt to apologize. I would go elsewhere.
