First time visiting and it was great! I was craving a giant stuffed baked potato and duke city bbq did not miss the mark! I got a brisket stuffed baked potato we also had a side of cream corn which was super tasty and my husband and son got the ribs... which they loved! You order at the front and then your called when your order is ready. Counter service was friendly and offered samples of their sausage. Can't wait to return again and try something new!

Wow, the great yelp reviews did not steer me wrong! I'm not sure where the best BBQ is in Albuquerque, but this has to be towards the top! Service was amazing, nice clean restaurant. But the food was the star! They had a handwritten note saying "pork belly today"!!!!! I got the 3 meat combo, green chili sausage, turkey and the pork belly, with cream corn and okra. The turkey was tender and Smokey with great flavor! Sausage was good, pork belly was great too! Okra was hot and amazing! Cream corn was very tasty but more cream than corn. Overall a great meal!

Absolutely amazing! The flavors were fantastic on the brisket! No need for sauce either, the meat is so moist and delicious! We had beans, okra and Mac and cheese as our sides and they were the perfect sides! So good! What a perfect meal! Definitely will be back with family and friends! Thanks for opening on the westside- we need a good BBQ on this side of town! Can't wait to share your restaurant with everyone! I will definitely be a regular!

Duke City BBQ on San Mateo was phenomenal! I had the brisket sandwich with the spicy barbecue sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy great food and great service

Went a few times to give my thoughts and review this establishment. On my first trip, I had the 505 Stuffed potato with brisket, which was amazing and very filling. I could only eat half and save some for another meal. My only concern was that I thought the torpedo was going to be bacon wrapped like the ones they advertised, but it's just a grilled pepper. On the next visit, we had the meat combo and ribs. The meat combo plate I got brisket, spicy bbq chop and sausage. The brisket is moist and not too fatty. The sausage was ok too, but I liked the green chile pepper jack more. The spicy bbq chop is very flavorful but a little bit greasy. The ribs we had the Dino ribs, which was huge and tasted like a beef roast. The Dino ribs had a peppery rub and nearly fell off the bone. I would come back for one of these. The regular pork ribs were very meaty, too, but not as flavorful as the dino ribs. Dipping it into the bbq sauce gives it all the flavor it needed. As for the sides, they are all pretty bland and nothing special. The bbq beans and potatoes salad are probably the best and safe options. I didn't care for the coleslaw because I wasn't a fan of the pineapple and raisins in it which was a surprise. The mac and cheese was very thick without much flavor.

Stopped by Dukes for a late lunch on a Monday. You must understand this is more of a " fast food" BBQ place than a " pits smoking outside smell the hickory" place. That being said, the BBQ was solid. We ordered at the counter, and in all we tried brisket, jalapeno sausage, the torpedo, the 505 potato and the beans. Very tasty!!! Of note was the 505 potato.... Just a big mound of deliciousness. The ladies at the counter were super sweet, and even gave us a little sample of sausage!!!! I thought it was a really good value as well!!

The owner was out of business cards so we used a gift card instead.

The venue boasts this incredibly charming, traditional Mexican exterior, but inside lies the most brilliant, high-concept fusion of Mediterranean and Mexican influences. The design choices are utterly inspired, creating a space that feels both vibrant and beautifully curated. Now, let's talk about the concept because it is a total masterclass in bespoke dining. They feature an exquisite display of fresh meats, artisanal sausages, and meatballs you simply select your precise desires and hand them over to be cooked to order! The level of attentive, personalized service was nothing short of magnificent. Frankly, the only other place I've experienced this caliber of hospitality is the legendary Red Rock Deli. It was such a refreshing, novel treat! I selected a gorgeous array of meatballs and premium ham. The kitchen absolutely transformed them, pairing the meatballs with beautifully prepared eggplant. By the time they presented it alongside two divine Stuffed Cabbage Rolls and warm, artisanal bread, I was entirely enchanted.

The brats were delicious - whatever herbs are in there are delicious. The schnitzel was also good and there was enough we were able to take it and eat half of it later. We also ordered meat pierogis and sweet pierogis. They were all very small. For$16-$20 I would've liked them to be more than two small bites/one large bite each. There are no fountain drinks only cans/bottles. All that said, like I said, the meats were delicious. The potato salad with dill was delicious. The Eastern European market stuff was fun and I saw a lot of things I want to go back and get. There's a lot of cool polish stuff on the walls.

Keep in mind, toppings that are not included in the sandwich description are at an additional cost of .50 cents. No biggie for me, but good to know right? I kept it simple and just got the sandwich, but they do have some side options. If I recall correctly, there is an option for chips (of course!), potato salad and perhaps a pickle. I'll pay more attention on my next visit. I am definitely returning because the chopped beef was dericious! I did have to wait about 20 minutes before i could bite into my sandwich, and it was still amazing. I plan to have my next sandwich there and am sure it will be even better. I peruse the menu, another customer drops their shake. Gonna be longer. That's fine, go help them. "No, I can take your order REALLY FAST." Well, I was looking at the menu, but cool to be rushed. I remember when the young lady that used to work there was at the counter. 6-8 people in line, greeted with a smile and Hi! Welcome in! There was a longer wait, but it was ok, because the service was good, and so was the food. Today? I'll never return. I spent over $15.00 including a credit card surcharge (a business owner that wants to take credit cards but can't be bothered to be a business owner and pay their bills.) I left a $5 cash tip - I figured I'd the business owner can't pay the 3% on a bad merchant account, they most likely aren't paying the staff livable wages... I sat down and put my gear down, and waited... for about 15 minutes, before this garbage salad that was falsely advertised as having toppings and 3 sliced chick'n strips. The entire salad didn't fill the bowl.? On the bottom were less than a teaspoon of diced tomatoes. In the entire salad there was ONE "fried onion." The lettuce was chopped like slop, there was barely enough chick'n to call it 1.5 slices. Absolute trash. For 15$ I ate my salad, listening as Morticia Addams' understudy pleasantly said good bye, have a nice day, et cetera to the customers who were leaving. I got up, threw my trash, walked out. Silence: The whole time I was in there, a cheap speaker was streaming some crappy 90s "radio friendly hip hop." When my salad was brought to me, even after explaining it's very hard to eat, or carry , a salad on a motorcycle, it arrived in a to-go/carry out, lid is RIGHT THERE,.Morticia helpfully pointed it out, a subtle hint that I wasn't a welcome guest. As I was gearing up to get on my motorcycle out comes our antagonist. Not to be polite or anything. To smoke or vape. I didn't stick around to smell which one she was doing in the doorway. I get it, lucky goose doesn't want my money. They've made it abundantly clear. That's fine. I'll go to Steelbender, where they have vegan options, and like that customers come on to give them money. I accidentally posted this review to the uptown location. I've never been, and will never be, to that location. This review was the knob hill location.
