We were especially impressed with our designer, Jackie (and her assistant Katie). They had fantastic ideas: from designing the overall layout, to help in choosing materials, to even how to paint a difficult area to enhance the design. One of the unique parts of our project was the desire to keep some beautiful existing components (specifically some cabinetry, stone countertops, bamboo woodwork and a sauna) but move them to new locations. Jackie did an excellent job in designing that arranging. We lived onsite throughout the project, so we were able to see the process "up close and personal". All of the construction personnel from LaMantia and subcontractors they used were very skilled and personable. Our project manager, Mike R, kept us informed on progress and who was coming each day. The initial schedule was "almost" met. We got delayed by lighting and electric (more our fault than theirs) in the middle, but they did a great job of an extra push to make sure a critical section was usable prior to a wedding brunch we were hosting. This was not a deal for her services it was simply me buying the cabinets. Somehow it turned into me also buying her services which I was charged $2000 dollars for what was considered a sketch drawing with no dimensions. I never received an in-home consultation because it was said at the beginning, she was too expensive. Anyway, I could not afford the cabinets in the end. They were well-used cabinets and needed more work then I was willing to spend to make them look like something. So the cabinets were returned. Cheryl sent me nasty messages about making "larger than life claims" and was completely unprofessional about the entire situation. I cannot believe she has never had a client who has ever changed their mind. or had life circumstances which inhibited paying for a superficial thing like a new kitchen cheap or not. It was a sad and unfortunate situation that her business sense over road her ability to act humanely and only added insult to injury. More proof of Mrs. D's insanity. I don't need to prove she has issues this response says it all. This is her bully, lying behavior, her husband often came to my house to complain about as well as her cheating ways. I wanted no part of it but somehow I am. She tried to make this personal but it's not. The truth will set you free my friend.
