I hate writing this but want to make sure others are aware of our experience. My husband and I worked with Dawn at our previous house and loved working with her, so when we moved, it was a no-brainer to reach out to her again. Her first visit to our new house was great- we picked out a bunch of paint colors and she sent us a comprehensive summary of everything we discussed. At the end of the visit, we made a follow-up appointment since we had more to discuss. Our second visit went long, but we didn't mind paying extra since we were getting a bit done and liked her ideas. Since we were covering a lot of ground and moving fast, Dawn told us not to take notes because she would be sending us a summary, as well as links to the furniture and fixtures she had in mind for the various spaces. A week or so after the second visit, I reached out to Dawn since we hadn't received our summary. No response. A few days later, I sent a follow-up email. Still no response. My husband emailed. No response. We called, we left voice messages, we texted and still no response. We tried to be understanding - things happen and sometimes things get delayed- but we never even received a reply to our emails/phone calls/texts (it has now been over three months). We had contractors scheduled to begin work and did not have all of our paint colors or fixtures to be installed so we had to reschedule (and we all know how difficult it is to get good contractors). At the end of the day, we were really frustrated because we wasted time and money on designs that were are unable to execute because Dawn disappeared. Ultimately, we had to hire another designer to do exactly what we had already paid Dawn to do. If you do hire Dawn, be prepared to take notes (even if she tells you not to) in case she ghosts you, too. read more

About a year ago I decided to look on yelp for an interior designer. I found Eye 2 Eye interiors which had a lot of great reviews about Dawn. The first time I used her was to help my mom with her condo because my mom is colorblind and we needed some ideas. Dawn was wonderful! She was so helpful and listened to what my mom wanted and then she gave her advice afterwards. My mom was very happy and didn't feel like she was pressured into something she didn't want. After that I used her from my house and she definitely gave me the blueprint I needed to make my house stand out more. I can be so indecisive at times but Dawn was so patient and gave me a direction. I reached out to Dawn because I needed help picking out paint colors for my condo. She was able to come fairly quickly and had great ideas that matched my taste. I like that she had me complete a design quiz before she came out so she had an idea of what I liked. She jotted down notes during her visit but I never heard back from her after she left. I reached out a few times but she never responded with a summary of what she recommended. So nice and helpful. I was at a loss to change so many colors in my home but Dawn really worked with me to get the look I wanted. Sometimes just my slight facial movement was enough of a tell to see a color wouldn't work for me. It only took 2.5 hours to do about 6 rooms, the longest being my bathroom,my fault as I just didn't know what to do but Dawn would keep bringing out colors til she and I were both happy with the result. After she left she sent me a picture with all the colors chosen ,labeled per room, and a promise big samples would soon follow from Benjamin Moore. It was an eye opening experience to see how much our place has transformed! We live in a typical small unit in the city. Our baby arrived and his toys took over our living room and the den. Hiring someone professional was our last hope, and honestly we didn't really expect we could do much with our small space. Until Dawn came over and spent half a day with us to organize our clusters, we re-claimed our living room area. Play area is limited to just the corner of the living room. Our den now looks like a clean guest room again. Dawn is very hands-on and pleasant to work with. She was cleaning and organizing with us the whole time. My fiance and I just moved into a new two bedroom condo, which square feet wise was larger than our old one bedroom highrise we had lived in for three years. Our new place, however, had completely different dimensions and two weeks after moving in, we were still having a really hard time determining the best set up for all of our stuff. In fact, we were some how even feeling cramped. Because we just moved, we were on a budget and not ready to buy all new furniture. Dawn was such a pleasure to work with. I have spent the last couple years hoarding paint chips and pulling my hair out trying to find colors that would update our home but work with what we have. Since we were about to put in a brand new wood floor, it seemed like I finally had to make a decision that would coordinate with a new floor as well.
