It's been 10+…read moreyears since I got a spray tan, so when the tan was on my hands at the salon, I assumed that was how it was supposed to be until I got home and saw it was getting way too dark, and some parts of my hands were still pale where the tanner didn't go. The employee never had me clean/wipe my hands off during or after the procedure. Additionally, the inside of my calves appears to be missed but that is much easier to fix at home than other areas that were too dark. I called the salon the next day for advice, and was told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. I ended up having to spend more money than the original service just trying to fix it on my own (Both in tanning my calves and in trying to erase the tan on my hands), all while preparing to be part of a wedding party the next day. I understand that mistakes can happen, no service is perfect. But how a business responds to those mistakes is what really matters. Being ignored after reaching out for help was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. A simple call back could have gone a long way in making me feel appreciated and less alone in the situation.

Amy takes a good look at your inspiration photo, and she would give you her professional opinion whether it suits your faceshape, and hair texture. She would tell you the possible outcome if she was to proceed with such style. Even if your face shape is not the same as the model in the photo, she would adjust the cut so that you could have the similar or better outcome that suits you. Sometimes when a different stylist cuts my hair short, it usually doesn't grow quite nicely. But when Amy cut my hair short (above shoulders) my hair grew beautifully even when it already passed my mid back. I just came back to her to get my hair colored. She trimmed my hair, got rid of the damage parts, gave me an awesome scalp massage and shared tips on how to style my thinning hair. She also shared some knowledge about hair care, and certain things to do specially for hair. The color was on point and evenly distributed. She also would check on my well-being and would ask if my scalp was feeling okay.. Now my thin hair somehow looks fuller and also looks healthier. Not only was the result completely different from what I wanted, but I also had a hot curling iron dropped on my arm and after hours of bleach on my head they also felt like it was a good idea to hold a blow dryer less than an inch away from my scalp, which left my scalp feeling sore for weeks after the appointment. I also ended up paying almost double the amount that I was originally quoted, which I'm sure had to do with the fact that there was more bleach used than necessary. This cost me $320 when I was originally quoted $170, keep in mind this was just for the coloring, I did not get a haircut. I also would not get a haircut here ever again because a few weeks prior to this appointment, I got a haircut here and the FRONT pieces were at least 2 inches different in length (which makes no sense to me since that should be the easiest part to see?). I reached out to the salon and spoke to the owner via email and received no compensation but instead an offer for a $75 voucher that could be used there in future appointments, which is nothing to me since I will not be going back nor would I recommend this salon to anyone that I know. Between the poor results, inaccurate pricing, scalp discomfort, and lack of accountability after, I recommend taking your hair elsewhere.

Tbh it was the first time I saw a hairdresser do everything himself--all the preparation, cut, perming, washing, etc. The limitation of staff resulted in lack of attentiveness.
