I came in for a spray tan and unfortunately ended up with noticeably orange hands. It's been 10+…read moreyears since I got a spray tan, so when the tan was on my hands at the salon, I assumed that was how it was supposed to be until I got home and saw it was getting way too dark, and some parts of my hands were still pale where the tanner didn't go. The employee never had me clean/wipe my hands off during or after the procedure. Additionally, the inside of my calves appears to be missed but that is much easier to fix at home than other areas that were too dark. I called the salon the next day for advice, and was told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. I ended up having to spend more money than the original service just trying to fix it on my own (Both in tanning my calves and in trying to erase the tan on my hands), all while preparing to be part of a wedding party the next day. I understand that mistakes can happen, no service is perfect. But how a business responds to those mistakes is what really matters. Being ignored after reaching out for help was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. A simple call back could have gone a long way in making me feel appreciated and less alone in the situation.

We were both wearing masks per normal protocol during Covid-time. (This occurred while we are in stage III) We were waiting for his normal person to come meet my son and take him back to her chair for his haircut. We were immediately met at the front by another hairstylist who observed us enter the building and quickly rushed over, and asked demandingly how could she "help us", as if we were solicitors or someone else who was obviously in the wrong place. I told her that my son had an appointment at this time and the name of his stylist. It seemed like it didn't matter what I said, she quickly replied with, "ok well, I need you to step outside." Please let me advise, we were the only people in the lobby and were simply standing there waiting for probably all of 15 seconds. We weren't sitting on their furniture or lounging or loitering. We were paying customers, there at our assigned time. Initially you might think perhaps this person was just having a bad day. But unfortunately my father-in-law took my son to the same place 3 weeks prior to this for his haircut appointment and was treated the same way by the same person. Just a piece of advice, if you work in the hospitality industry, where a large portion of your income relies on tips, just know, there is a direct correlation between your attitude , and the amount of money you receive in tips.
