They carry salt water or RO water so come ready with your jugs. The staff is friendly but will see different faces. They have a nice selection of corals and high quality food for fishes. So far I've been to the store 3 times. First time I was shopping nearby and walked in accidentally, they had few staffs there were working with their own things but greeted me nicely. That was before I decided to start a saltwater tank. Few weeks later I decided to start a saltwater tank and went back. Dave (and two other staffs) helped me, he was friendly and knowledgeable, wasn't in a rush to "educate" a newbie like me, instead he exchanged ideas with me and confirmed things I know was right, answered my questions patiently and explained things I didn't know. He helped me to pickup the things I needed to start a reef tank. Then I did the first reef rock work in my life. I went back again looking for some compliments (and fishes to cycling my tank lol). But no one I've met was there only a lady at the front, she greeted me nicely too, even though I wondered in the shop for a fair amount of time and couldn't find anything I could have for now, she was still nice when I walked out with empty hands. I'll definitely go back for more things. Idk their working schedule, seems all different staffs there the three times I've visited. Artistic oceans is my new weekend bar. The vibe is chill, they have great decor, and everyone is friendly. The bartenders are also awesome and very knowledgeable. I'm new to the hobby, and they patiently spent time helping me sort out all the conflicting information I found on YouTube - from cycling a tank to spending money on the right stuff. They never tried to upsell, but made sure I didn't but anything I didn't need. Great assortment of fish from designer clowns to mantis shrimp, which was awesome to see live! I'm unsure if the ownership or leadership has changed over the past couple of months, but I have noticed a significant change in quality compared to a year ago, and I have not seen employees that made me become a regular. When I first started coming here, the staff were always very quick to welcome me in and drop what they were doing to help. They were more than willing on multiple occasions to talk with me and answer any questions I had, no matter the simplicity, and I felt as though they were knowledgeable on the topics. Along with this, the tanks always had a very clean and clear look to them that inspired confidence in the store and that my fish and supplies were high quality. Recently though, while I have far less questions, when I ask a question, it seems to be almost a bother to them. Also, entering the store, the staff do not feel as welcoming and have a lot more of a "i'll get to you when I feel like it" attitude, something that made me want to come to a smaller store as opposed to Petco or something similar. I have also seen the quality of the tanks and supplies decrease, as I now see multiple tanks with cyano, nearly every tank has dead fish that have been in there for a while, fish that do not look as vibrant. The premade water is no longer as clear and always has pieces of algae that I see on the dispensing tubes. I used to always love coming in to look around at the fish and nice tank layouts and talk with the staff on ideas, but recently, I no longer feel as though I can do this. read more

They don't just try to sell you, if they know certain piece or fish are not compatible they will not sell it to you. It's 25 miles away from home but it's well worth it! Don't buy their junky water box fish tanks. I bought this thing and out the stand together it didn't even come with doors. I called up the store and they said " oh we have one we are about to throw away you can have the doors off that one " should have been the first red flag. The door they gave me we're always crooked , never lined up , and eventually with me trying to adjust them they just fell off due to the cheap material they were made of. The stand wabbled and was not sturdy. They came to fill it with water and I voiced my concerns they told me " once we get some weight in it it will be better " I lost sleep over this thing thinking it was going to fall over. I went to the store and told them the stand wasn't very sturdy they could have cared less. I got a new tank from a different shop and requested they give me a new stand so I can try and sell this one and recoup some of the money I wasted. They didn't even email me me back. read more

They are honest business people. The store is not large, but it has most everything you need if you are into saltwater fish or Corals. Horrible experience with this store. The owner in particular.. purchased a used 180 gallon salt water tank with a stand and hood. Had them come and install it. A few months later.. the tank is cracked at the bulk head and pouring all over our floor. After further inspection of the tank.. it turns out it was cracked either at install or before because the second bulk head also had a crack coming from it. They tried to conceal this crack with gobs of silicone. When we contacted the owner Scott about the issue he sent his maintenance guy who was also the one that installed the tank to take a look. First thing out of his mouth was his concern that we had called our own maintenance guy and our preferred aquatic store (Aquatic Treasures) when the tank cracked. His maintenance guy explained that it was his install a crack at the bulk head was on him and we should of called him. They showed zero concern for the time and money we put into the tank up until that point. Their only concern was who knew about it. We know there are risk when you buy a used tank. Our first tank we bought used as well. We also sold that tank to someone else who also in turn purchased a used tank. Tanks are bought and sold used all the time. But when you buy from a aquatic retailer... you expect some level of professionalism. You would think they would know what they were doing and at least be willing to back their work to some extent. Further more we came to find out that the tank was not leveled when installed.. the stand they sold us was warped. There were no shimmies put in place at the time of install. They installed a 180 gallon tank they knew was cracked, on a warped stand without leveling in my living room. I should have known something was wrong when on the day of install they told me water could not go in it that day. It was because they tried to repair the first crack that they knew about on the scene. Scott had two things to offer us after all was said and done. A new tank at his cost... or he offered to re-bottom the cracked tank. That was it... he even went as far to spread through the aquatic community that we "bought a used tank" as if that excused the fact that he bluntly knowingly did what he did and ripped us off. Zero remorse, zero responsibility, zero professionalism. We asked him to cover half of the cost of the new tank... that was it. He stopped replying, didn't even have the dignity to counter, or explain. We were lucky enough to know so many great people that share the enthusiast hobby of reefing and our tank is back up and running... Aquatic Treasures (who I highly recommend) came to our rescue. They housed our fish and coral during the whole ordeal. Helped us get a new tank and stand and refinished our old hood to match our new stand to keep cost low. They knew we had just been ripped off and showed us the concern that artistic oceans should have. You will find out for yourself how unprofessional and unattached the artistic oceans store is with one visit. The few fish we did buy from them died. I highly recommend that you avoid this store at all cost. This hobby is a very meticulous, time consuming, and an expensive one. Anyone in this business should know that they have a moral responsibility to a customer that trust them with such a huge investment. We could have taken further action in regard to this situation. But we instead decided to use the energy to continue in the hobby and not let it get to us.. the way it probably should have. See pictures for obvious proof that everything I said is accurate. I could of mentioned more in regard to their neglect in this situation. However its just not worth the energy... for them to do this they must be in need in some way. read more

All the tanks look clean and frags are at a reasonable price.
