i just visited Artistic Oceans for the first time in three years. I had gone there many many times with my teenage daughters during Covid and had met the owner Scott who was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He always went above and beyond to assist me with whatever I needed or wanted to know about my reef aquarium. He was never pushy or impatient. He was always willing to give us plenty of time and attention and almost always gave me a great discount on my purchases. In short, he always made sure we left happy and so we went back 2-3 times a week to see the new stuff they had brought in. It was fun and addictive but life got busy and I stopped adding to my reef aquarium until I had to move the tank a few weeks ago. So, a couple days ago, I went to 3 tropical fish stores before visiting Artistic Oceans again. It didn't take long before I remembered why I loved Artistic Oceans. Simply put, we were greeted warmly by Daniel even though the place was packed. Then, Daniel proceeded to help my gf and I along with her parents understand all about the fish and corals we were interested in. He, like Scott, went above and beyond with his assistance and sharing useful knowledge. He was patient and thorough. We had a great time and purchased both fish and some coral frags. I don't think we need to ever go to a different tropical fish store. This place has pretty much everything and if they don't have something you want, they'll get it for you. I bought two fish here and they both died. I must admit that this is partially my own fault. When I asked about the copperband butterfly, they had told me that they were starving the fish because they want to train them to eat aiptasia. Red flag. But I bought it anyway. The wrasse my son was saving up for was hiding in the sand. While they were searching for it, they pulled a dead skeleton of something I don't know. When I looked at their coral tank, they had a dead fish in the strainer that they keep the loose mushrooms in. They just left it there to rot I suppose. They even said that the reef stew they were selling was a bad batch but yet it was still for sale. I took my water sample in to claim their 2 day guarantee, they falsified my test results. To their credit, they said they would give me a new fish if I fixed my water. That night I bought a brand new test kit, and tested the water. Results were good. I won't go back. I am new to the Las Vegas area and have lived all over the country going to aquatic stores for my saltwater fish needs and have never been more impressed with a business such as Artistic Oceans. I was immediately welcomed by friendly and knowledgeable staff and they answered all of my questions. I came back a week later though I had not planned on purchasing any livestock for another few weeks to settle in and bought some amazing live rock coral pieces for a very fair price. This location will be my go to for the future and I will be ordering all of my livestock from these guys. The fish looked very healthy and the setup is meticulously designed for the well being of the aquatic life. Artistic Oceans is an outstanding freshwater and saltwater fish store in Las Vegas. They are my go to whenever I need something for my aquarium. If they don't have what I'm looking for, I can add my request onto their next order. The staff is always knowledgeable and provides honest advice without trying to up sell me on fish that won't get along with others or dry goods that are unnecessary for my current set up. Also it seems that they have a real-time store on their website so that you can see exactly what they have in stock and put it on hold before someone else grabs it. read more

I walked into the store, not knowing exactly what it was that I wanted, but I didn't know I wanted a fish tank, but I wasn't clear if I wanted saltwater or freshwater. The employees at this establishment are beyond knowledgeable when it comes to setting up maintaining and all of the different breeds of fish that can and cannot be in the same tank, which I had no idea of. They made my set up easy for my saltwater tank and now it's been four days and I have ClearWater with a couple cool fish. I will definitely be getting more fish and live coral from these guys. read more

They are a life saver! I went in the other day looking for a temporary light for my 200gal reef tank because me kessil quite working on me. I walked in just after they opened not only were they eager to help! But their prices and knowledge of their product were amazing. Without hesitation they set me up with a temporary light. We got some amazing frags and anemones and plan on going back today to get a few more! Their prices are in beatable and the owner Scott is super friendly and helpful! I really don't like coming to this shop, I hate how close it is to my house. I purposely take the long drive to Aquatic Treasures and bypass this shop. I went in for reef stew the other day and it was all dead. A lot of the fish were covered in ick, or just dead laying up against the filter in the tanks. The staff was also extremely rude and just goofing off the entire time I was in there. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, there are plenty of better options out there save the trip. read more

Other fish stores I have gone into had a very distinctive fish smell. Not Artistic Oceans, this shop was extremely clean. The staff was very helpful and Scott, the owner, was exceptionally knowledgable- not just about the fish, but the plants, aquariums, and water (he makes his own salt water in house!!). They carry both fresh and salt water fish, and all the aquatic plants you could ever want. And there is a new tank that has sharks, eels, and stingrays. It is a great business. read more

I went in for the first time a few days ago and I have to say I was not impressed at all. There was a nasty musky odor when you walk in & I wasn't greeted at all. I also noticed a large amount of dead fish & corals in the tanks. A bunch of the saltwater fish had noticeable signs of ick & beat up fins. Coral tanks glass is covered in flatworms. Safe to say I will not be recommending nor returning to this store. read more

Extremely knowledgeable staff and extremely helpful. They never tried to push anything on me and gave me great advice as someone new to this Hobby that is something that is necessary in order to thrive, things can get pricey but they have extremely decent prices and more so everything in the store is extremely clean neat and up to par, I will be shopping here throughout my journey I appreciate the service. read more

Artistic oceans is one of the best reef stores in Las Vegas. Scott is always helpful with orders and will custom order you anything you please as long as it's available for a fair price! Many owners would just want to make money but Scott will always want you to succeed in the hobby which is why it's one of my most favorite stores in Vegas! Make sure to go check them out! read more

This store has a totally different feel from other fish stores. It has a boutique feel with blue shiny floors that look like you're stepping on water. Everyone working there is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a really nice selection, and if there is something that you want but they don't have, they will order it right away. Wow, this store was a big surprise. I was on my way to go to another fish store and thought I will stop at Artistic Oceans. I was very surprised to see the large inventory of fish and how healthy they are. All the other fish stores in Las Vegas area that I have seen, have either low inventory or poor quality specimens, and sometimes both. read more

This is the biggest salt water variety in all of Las Vegas after we searched everywhere. Lots of salt water variety of fish and corals. Staff is very helpful with not just fish and plants but also helping us set up our fish crew. Lots of supplies and rocks as well. Highly recommend to anyone that has a salt water aquarium! read more
