I had a great experience visiting LLL reptile store today! It was clean, enclosures looked fresh and well-maintained. The store is clearly updated and organized, making it easy to browse and find what you're looking for and more. They also had a great selection of new supplies and products, with plenty of options for reptile owners of all levels. It was refreshing to see such a well-stocked inventory. This place has gone extremely downhill as of late. Walked in today and they had music blasting across the several speakers they have attached on the walls toward the ceiling (video attached). The bass and volume of the music was hurting my ears and I could see that the reptiles they had today were so much more squeamish than usual, so I asked an employee there, "Do you think this music is upsetting them? It's very loud." And he replied with the most uneducated answer I have ever heard in my life. He said, and I quote, "They don't have ears like us, it doesn't bother them." And I said "You really don't think the bass vibrations shaking the walls of their tanks isn't bothering them?" And he didn't care to respond further. Please listen to the video I attached and tell me if you would want your reptile to be surrounded by this volume of music (and if you're someone who actually cares about reptiles and understands their anatomy, you'd easily understand that loud vibrations like that are disturbing to them). The men that work here are not polite, they don't interact well with women, and they do not care about you unless you're ready to give them all your money. One time I went in and asked if I could hold a bearded dragon because I was looking to purchase one soon, and this grown man with thin-framed black glasses, asked me, "Are you wanting to buy today?" I replied, "Probably not today, I have to get more for the enclosure before I'm fully ready to have one." And he replied, "Well I need to put him back because I have...things I need to do" And then he grabbed the bearded dragon off my shoulder and threw it back into its enclosure. Then he proceeded to just go stand behind the front counter. So what that shows me is that this guy does not care about me, and who I was with, as costumers. We were ready to buy lights and water/food dishes, but that level of disrespect was so uncalled for. And after the experience with the loud music today, I will not be coming back unless everywhere else is closed. Was hopeful to have a local, smaller business to support, but when the local business owners and employees are rude, uneducated, not taking care of the animals properly, disgruntled, dismissive, rude, lazy, etc., then I simply cross it off my list of places to go. read more

We have been coming here for years and I honestly can't say enough good things about this reptile supply store. First off I have to give a huge shoutout to Jake because our experience would not have been the same without him. He is hands down one of the most knowledgeable reptile associates we've ever met. He took so much time teaching us about caring for our new male boa and made us feel completely confident in our purchase. A couple days ago we came in just to look at this beautiful baby Hypo Colombian Boa (B.C. Imperator) and instantly fell in love. Chris was absolutely fantastic helping us get our crested gecko's enclosure set up last night. As brand new reptile parents, I came in with about a million questions and probably 17 different ideas of how complicated this setup needed to be. Chris patiently walked us through everything and reassured me that I was definitely overthinking it (which..fair). What I appreciated most was that he wasn't trying to sell us every gadget on the shelf. Instead, he focused on educating and helping us understand what our gecko actually needs.
