My neighbor hired these guys to trim the part of my redwood tree that was hanging over their yard. The crew boss claimed to be a certified arborists, but I can't find any record that they are. I would never have hired anyone who isn't. They trimmed a tremendous amount out of his side as I told them not to touch my side. I hope the tree survives. But the real reason for the 1 star is that they left a big oil spill on my patio. My neighbor called them several times to return to clean it up, but they never returned his calls. So now I am left with an ugly blotch and a scalped tree. I would definitely not hire these clowns. read more

I didn't hire these guys, but my neighbors did. They did a great job trimming 4 super tall redwoods for my neighbors. Some branches fell in my property, and one branch tore out a string lighting guide wire that was anchored to my house. They cleaned up all the branches, fixed the guide wire and rehung the lights, and repainted the damaged spot on the wall. Conscientious and responsible ... especially Allan... Today is Thanksgiving. I am very happy to write this review and thank Jose for his great job just did yesterday on the cherry tree in my backyard. I do not need to say many words as the attached photos say enough words how beautiful he trimmed the tree. I called several tree service companies and got different prices. Thank you to Jose and his crew for their immediate help. During the terrible windstorm of March 2023 our 60-foot double trunk cedar was UPROOTED and crashed onto our neighbor's driveway. That day, Jose came and cut up the tree and moved the pieces out of the driveway. He worked hard! It took a few more days to finish the job, including stump removal, grinding, and haul away. They cleaned up the site every day before they left and paid attention to detail, even removing the broken tree branches from the street tree it had crashed into. They were busy that week with emergency tree work all around town, but Jose managed to keep in touch with me with me daily with status updates. read more

Don't waste your time with these guys. They were in my neighborhood and came up to me and offered to clear out my side yard tree brush and limbs. We came up with a price and they said they would be back later in the day to do the work. Well they never came back and I had to call them twice to even get updates. Today they said, "Well we are out of the area now and can't do the work." Never received a phone call or anything until I called them. When I said that is not a very good business move on their part, Jose said, "It is what it is." If I ran my business this way, I'd be out of business. Hired these guys awhile back to remove a large tree and clean up a palm tree in my yard, they got the job done, but allot of damage to my property resulted from hiring them as well. They ran over some utility ramps i had in my side yard and then hid them so i didn't discover them till they were long gone, also ran into my retaining wall with their trailer/ chipper/ or truck I'm not sure which, it's a long wall that surrounds my driveway, that's ruined now. Also my hot tub cover was damaged by a falling tree branch. i noticed that before they left so they gave me 100$ off the service, (big whoop! ) don't hire these guys, unlicensed, dangerous, and careless! read more

I hired Artistic Tree Care on 3 occasions to remove or top very large trees over a period of several years. I was very surprised to hear the negative reviews on yelp, because my experiences were positive. If you want a seasoned crew of skilled workers to cut large trees for a reasonable price, I would recommended them. This work is very difficult. My trees were up to 60 feet. How do they cut them? A skilled tree climber climbs up, ropes off pieces of branches, cuts, and 2 separate men with ropes on the ground lower the branches. The last job was yesterday. The trees were about 60 feet and reduced by 2/3. I sat and watched all day in my beach chair as they worked efficiently, skillfully, and carefully. I was really nervous because the trees were between my neighbor and I. They only had the 10 foot space to work in and EVERY part of EVERY branch had to be lowered and swung over my roof to the ground. They did not cause any damage. read more

Jose also took time to explain the city regulations. We were given a couple of options and pros / cons of each option. We had some concerns since the trees are very close to our fences. No respect for their customer's time. I had an appointment with Artistic Tree Care to trim and thin a large tree in my backyard. The appointment was for 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning. I gave Artistic Tree Care the benefit of the doubt being that it was Monday morning and Bay Area traffic is bad. However, I called them by 10:30 a.m. when it appeared that they may not show. I was told that they were running behind and will be by around 11:00 a.m. At 11:15 a.m. I received a call to say that they were just around the corner and needed to know the street to turn right on; however, still no show by 11:30 a.m. I was concerned that they've gotten lost so I called again, but no one answered. I left a voice mail. At 12:30 p.m. I finally received a second call from Artistic Tree Care to say that they're "coming now." Needless to say, they lost my business.
