Fantastic husband and wife owned store that is a must see when shopping in the downtown area! It's actually two stores in one. The husband runs the left side and his wife runs the right side. I shopped in both sides and was impressed with the variety of unique items in both stores. The husband has a decent selection of used vinyls at a great price, plenty of discounted (new) tee's, posters, framed wall art and Vargas Prints, patches, rings, hats, stickers, some modern toys and other collectables. The wife's store has plenty of art inspired clothing, hats, wigs, jewelry, and so much more, lots to see!! Both stores were packed as it was St. Pete's annual Halloween street party. More packed on the ladies side then the men's side. I purchased three patches for my vest. They were a little over $6 each but if you buy three, you only pay $15, not bad, that's about the going rate. I didn't get the owner's name but he was very nice and chatted with me a bit before and after check out. All in all, I highly recommend stopping here if you are visiting the area read more

I love this place and you will adore the owner and her mom. They will greet you every time you step in and make sure you find something you absolutely love. I discovered this gem -- thanks to my aunt who's lived here her entire life -- back in 2013 and have been a fan ever since. I especially love the endless array of unique and handcrafted earrings. I've always wanted to pop in here but every time I've been in the area it was closed. I decided to take a day off for a "Rebecca Day" and spend my time in St. Pete. I visited the Dali to see the new Dali Dome, went to Pacific Counter for lunch and then took a drive down the road to see if Artpool was open. They were! Yay! This is a great place to come and get funky, old jewelry and even some newer crafted pieces. Also, lots of cool, vintage clothing for women and men. The women's side is pretty large and if you want to go over to the men's side where they also have non-clothing items, you have to go out what feels like the back door, through a small courtyard and into the side. They had some plants outside as well, but nothing I needed as I had recently bought several at a plant festival. Inside though, that's where I found my treasure. I ended up coming home with a giant wooden tiki-like mask. The price was a steal so I had to get it. There were some other items I had looked at and considered before spotting my tiki mask. I have another wooden mask that I picked up at another venue that was more expensive, so like I said, I felt like even though it had a few scratches on it, it was a great deal. Besides, it is old. Who cares if it has a few scratches. I didn't even look through the records but there was quite a selection there as well. Definitely check this place out if you like vintage stuff! read more

Marina and her family are amazing and curate the store for every season. If you are looking for something specific she makes it her goal to help you find what is needed. I love Art Pool and Marina (and Marina's Mom) on a totally different level than ever before. This is where I purchase all my ear rings! I have a true affection for ear rings and I won't go anywhere else. They have the largest selection of unique and beautiful ear rings. OH and also necklaces, clothing and hats too!!! In addition, my child was having a major melt down and I had to do more parenting than shopping. I fear we where chasing customers out but I couldn't give in to my son's demands..... Marina not only handled us with patience and tolerance she also offered us solutions (toys to art with and even snacks). She also complimented me a couple of times on my parenting and her mom reminded me that this is only a memory, which I'll take that and keep for life. Such a beautiful reminder that these tough moments parenting are nothing more than a memory. This will help me to respond to my son with love, even when it's easy to be upset with him. Such a fun, eclectic selection to explore for great stuff! On my most recent trip, there was an outfit from a Broadway show, tons of funky sunglasses, a huge variety of jewelry and clothes, and some of the nicest people I've ever met working in there. I'm just getting into the vintage/thrifting world but I'm so glad I stumbled across this place so early on; it's going to stand out for quite some time! There's two hour parking and meter parking nearby; we spent an entire hour in there browsing so go for the 2 hour parking if it's available, especially since there's many other great places to check out along this area. The selection inside the store is great and of course always changing. Decent range of sizes here too! Though a little heavy on XS/S, so that was the only let down. But they have every type of clothing you could imagine - casual stuff to prom dresses to business attire to costume pieces. Go in with an open mind & you'll leave with full arms & lighter wallets. read more

The record side was incredible!!! Staff was great and selection was great! Then we moved over to the vintage side. Tons of fun clothes and hats to look at. Everything is SUPER EXPENSIVE... I collected over $300 worth of stuff that I was looking to purchase. As I was checking out the clerk took feathers off of my hat and said they were extra. Not a little extra but a lot extra. The hat itself was over forty and the clip was going to be an additional $20+ bringing the hat to over $60. I asked why the feathers had no tag or price on it. She said the "owner adds it for display". I told her it was kinda false advertising to display the hat at $44 with no mention of additional for the feathers and asked if there was anyway to to throw the feathers in as I was spending over $300 on stuff I didn't need and again- there was no tag. She basically told me to put something back so I ended up walking out with nothing. Bad customer service. The least she could have done was ask the owner. The record shop I completely recommend, the vintage side, not at all. read more

Artpool is one of the better vintage shops in the Burg, with items ranging from box purses, hats, clothing and costume jewelry to art, cards, antlers, photographs, tchotchkes, records, light fixtures, lantern slides, old magazines, books, assemblage, typewriters, retro household items, etc - spread almost haphazardly through two buildings that include a small cafe and surrounding a courtyard used frequently for shows, events and the occasional hipster fashion show. Quirky is the word here, and it's a perfect place to find that little something you had no idea you were looking for. Although it would primarily interest a younger (mainly 30 and under) crowd, both men and women will find items of interest. The prices are a bit all over the place (vintage Life magazines are way overpriced but the books are a good deal for example), so it helps to be familiar with what you're looking at. Despite that, I enjoy shopping there, and it won't break the bank like La France. read more

ARTpool has been a St. Pete staple for as long as I can remember - a center for everything that is hip and cool in the world of vintage. The owners truly invested in St Pete before St Pete was the hip place it is now, once an oasis its now surrounded by so many other cool spots, but its impossible to beat the original. Its great to see them opening again following the chaos that was 2020 and 2021 - I'm really looking forward to the time they can start throwing art parties and fashion shows again, as they were the best events in town. For those visiting St. Pete, its a must stop. For the natives, it should be in their weekly rotation - the selection is always changing. read more

Pretty large building with a great collection of hand-picked goodies! The main shop has mostly women's clothing, accessories, and jewelry, while the ARTpool Cafe building is where they have a nice selection of men's clothes and some kitchen items. I like that it's not just vintage things, but also picks from artisans and craftspeople (some are Etsy sellers). The owners were very nice and welcoming as I browsed through the store, which really seems to have a little something for everyone ranging from hip and fashionable to really extravagant! Prices also range so you'll be able to find something within your budget. It seems like they keep their store well-stocked with new things constantly, so I will be back to check out the new goods soon! read more

I go here for the used records they have. I've purchased around 10 from them over the past few months and they were all cleaned and accurately graded. All played well. Owner Evan is so nice and quite knowledgeable about his vinyl stock. There is a lot of interesting vintage clothing on display and I see quite a lot of customers browsing those racks. Glad to be supporting local merchants. The other side of the gallery is quite interesting as well for the vintage women's clothing and accessories. Fun place to while away your time! read more

I had gone to the original ART Pool location at their last event. It was a nice place with a lot of charm and local appeal. But it was cramped. That's about impossible to say regarding the new location. Now you enter into the main room: a vintage store the size of the old location. To your right is the art gallery - artists can rent wall space with all revenue going directly to the artist. If you go out through the back door you find yourself in a huge courtyard. Inevitably they will have film screenings here which I think would be a great weekly/monthly event - $5 cover charge, free popcorn, bring your own chair and drinks. Anyways, back to what's there - the garage to the left? That's also a part of ART Pool. Other artists can display or possibly rent out space. All I know is the place is cool and was packed for the live music and Lady Gaga flash mobs. I hope the new ART Pool becomes a St. Pete staple, right next to Haslam's. So if you're looking for some vintage clothing for a party or your own style; unique jewelry or artwork from local artists, swing by, and definitely look into coming out for the monthly events. read more

Agree with several other Yelpers on this place. It's fun to look, but way overpriced. Anyone that does the flea markets or garage sales would really do better. The prices on their clothing, shoes and jewelry are just crazy. The other thing is the way the older lady (I think Marina's mom....?) follows you around. It's like she is just waiting for you to pocket something. It's actually kinda creepy. The other side of the store, where they have the vintage record albums, is more chill. The guy that runs that side is always happy to answer your questions, and he doesn't follow you around either. I guess he actually has other work to do! And yes, they actually have a handwritten sign that says you MUST buy something, even a water or a soda, if you want to use their restroom!! Pay toilets are vintage--maybe it is time to bring them back to Artpool! read more

I have found so many wonderful vintage pieces at ARTpool, from a little Hercules book shelf for my husband to a vintage leather European trench coat for my son. They have jewelry, decor, fashion...anything you can imagine! We have been to many events at ARTpool and have always had a blast. Cool place to check out a variety of vintage items. I've been in here a couple of times. The store itself is clean with a unique setup. I've seen everything from jewelry to clothing, shoes, postcards, etc. and the items were in good shape. I like to think of it as an upscale thrift shop. The prices are high but they do offer items that are designer and/or next to new. I can't wait to visit their cafe portion or attend an event here one day! read more

Artpool Gallery is a parasitic gentrifier that needs to make amends to the young lady that was injured and hospitalized due to slipping and falling into a sizable area of wet concrete in front of the store. There was absolutely no signage warning passersby about the wet concrete and as a result the young lady has suffered a broken wrist, ruined clothing, and even has concrete that has adhered to her skin. When confronted with their own negligence the owners called the police on the victims and said that rhey weren't human. Fuck you, Artpool Gallery and your lame ass shitty store. read more

Extremely disappointed with my initial interaction with this business. The second we walk to the front door an older woman standing in the front entryway, slams the door shut- blocking us from entering and proclaims in an arrogant and annoyed tone that we need a mask to enter. When asked if she had any extras, as we did not have any on us, she rolls her eyes and ignores us. She was beyond rude and made us feel like we were trying to be difficult or disregard their policies. I had been looking forward to shopping here after reading about their business in the paper many times. You would think that a business who claims that they are hurting would be friendly to their customers and eager for new business. Most businesses in Saint Pete have employees who are initially friendly and welcoming, and offer free masks if required. We would have been happy to wear one and shop; rather, she made us feel like we were intruders. I will not be shopping here ever after this experience. read more

A funky little place in St Pete that I visited looking for vinyl records. There is also local art, vintage clothes, other little collectibles and used stuff lying around. The selection of used vinyl is very large with a LOT of $1 records, and some in pretty good condition. The slightly higher graded records are in the 5-6 range with a few higher priced collectible items, and all in good shape. I bought several records here. read more

Super funky fun place in St. Pete. Cool vintage clothes that reminds me of the stores back up north. I have to confess my favorite part is the ton and a half of awesome music and odd end collectibles. Marina is always bubbly and fun and I dare you to chat it up with Evan music style. Oh and try one of their awesome root beers. SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOD! Oh you have to attend one of their many different shows throughout the year.
