This was such a fun and unique date night experience. Once we checked in we were guided to the back…read moreto meet the rest of our group. There were six seats total, with my boyfriend and me occupying two and the remaining four filled by other guests. The seating was family-style, so you're sharing the experience with others which was great because the family was celebrating a birthday!! For the first hour, we worked with clay at a table and had the freedom to create just about anything we wanted. I attempted to make a leaf, and my bf made a mug. We'll see how they turns out once we pick them up. I wish I could remember the names of the two individuals who guided us because they were absolutely wonderful. They were patient and incredibly knowledgeable, it's definitely their passion. Once done, we walked into a different room for our second hour. The second hour is dedicated to working on the pottery wheel. The instructors had already prepared and started our first bowl, allowing us to get a feel for working with the wheel before attempting one on our own. My second attempt didn't go quite as planned, but I had so much fun trying. I ended up with a very shallow, short bowl. But a bowl is a bowl right. At the end of the class, we were able to select a glaze color for each of our pieces from six available options. We were told that our finished pieces would be ready in approximately three weeks and that we would receive a call when they were available for pickup. I haven't got them back yet but will post an update when i do. The experience is BYOB so if you plan to bring wine, I recommend bringing your own cups and a wine opener as well. We didn't think to bring those items, but we were still able to get our bottle opened, so it wasn't a big deal, we just had to borrow someone else's. They told us to just pick a color off a clipboard and they will do it for us. When we asked if we can do it ourselves, Kyle was dismissive and made us feel bad for wanting to do something we looked forward to doing.

Recently moved to St Pete Beach and wanted some Adirondack-style chairs for the back yard. I'd…read moredriven by Island Time on numerous occasions so decided to stop in. The chairs are extremely high quality. They are made from a material that has the texture, weight and strength of a dense wood, but is synthetic plastic (HPDE) that comes in a large number of colors, and is made from 90% recycled material. The color is not a surface coating, it is manufactured into plastic, so it will not flake off or fade. The hardware is 316 stainless so it will not rust in the salt air. The owner negotiated a fair price with me for two adult chairs and a child chair and delivered them for free the next day. Since it was a surprise, he additionally told me that if my wife decided she'd prefer any of the other colors after seeing the selections I had made, that even if it were colors he'd have to order and manufacture, he'd come swap them out later for me free of charge. These are not the garbage you see in front of Home Depot for $20. Those are cheap formed plastic that will fade, blow away and/or crack in the Florida sun and heat. These high quality chairs probably weigh a solid 50 pounds, so they're substantial. You can order a number of options, such as high, low, foot rests, ottomans, two attached to a center table with or without umbrella, so on and so forth. It sounds like the owner will make just about anything you want if you need something custom. Loving mine, and we feel like it's island time every night we watch the sun set over the water from them.
