Food was great . But it was supposed to come with a side or a salad I choose mashed potatoes and didn't get them. Kinda upsetting and messed up the whole meal.

I had a few people recommending this place for dinner and rightfully so my seafood platter was delicious the staff was beyond pleasant and had great recommendations. The location has ample parking comfortable decor a bar ...takeout in the back just for their pizza. I normally do not make room for deserts but in this case I sure did ; I wasn't disappointed by their tiramisu yummy. I'm going to have to try the pizza next because so our wonderful waitress told us they have regular crust thin cauliflower or gluten free ...can't wait.

Have been hearing around town, that they have the best pizza in town,so wanted to try it out. The pizza was not bad but not my favorite. Had dinner here on a Saturday evening. Had a great waitress! Three people in our party has the prime rib! Really great mashed potatoes as well as a nicely done piece of meat. I had the special chicken Marsala pasta dish of the night and it was prepared well. Rice pudding and the chocolate cake was yummy! The salads that came with the meal were disappointing! Swamped in dressing and iceberg lettuce.

Honestly, the worst pizza I've ever had in my life, most ended up in the trash and I hate wasting food. I have no problem with frozen pizzas, chain pizzas, etc, ill eat it. Until I ordered from here, the "crust" was literally just an oil soaked sponge.

There was a separate bar and dining area for folks to chooses from. I opted for the dining area, I was alone and it took a while to be seated because they didn't want to seat me at an empty table in the middle of the dining room. When seated I was a table on the edge. The space looked accustomed for larger groups and had many large and small parties. The light in the space was a bit low in comparison to the bright sun outside coming through the windows. My server was very attentive and I was quickly able to order. The home made loaf of italian bread came out warm and was light and fluffy. I ordered the Utica Greens and Shrimp Riggies. While I enjoyed I had expected there to be a bit of heat in each dish which they didn't have. i ended up adding red pepper flakes to both to get it to my liking.

That's just the weirds stuff that I like... the FOCACCIA -- they're baking it right there! There's only two sandwiches. This is a GOOD THING... meat or veggie. Apart from amazing -- small detail: romaine, crispy, super fresh... the meats and veggie patty: great recipe. This all before mentioning their namesake dish... pasta... six feet away from the baking, a lady pulling noodles out of a pasta machine, which I'll have to experience next time.

But they also have nearly peerless homemade pastas (of which the smoked paprika linguine is my favourite, though they often only make it by request), spectacular prepared sauces, and regular specials on essentials that will get you things like premium olive oil or balsamic vinegar* at supermarket prices. * Genova is one of the few places I've regularly found a variety of pure, aged balsamic vinegar free from sulphites. AWESOME. So, here's some tips: 1) They ONLY TAKE CASH, no exceptions. I once witnessed a woman curse them out for this fact and declare she'd tell all her friends not to shop there; when she left, everyone in the tiny shop, myself included, burst out laughing, and one of the guys declared "we can barely keep up with the customers we have, we don't need her!". Very jovial, and they took her bitch-fest so perfectly in-stride they could give lessons on how to turn the other cheek. 2) If you need a quick lunch, pick up a focaccia sandwich -- they're about $4 if memory serves, with salami, lettuce, tomato, and mustard, and they're fantastic! If you want to suddenly realize you're hungry, walk down Wellington around 11:00am for the wafting glory of baking focaccia and just try to resist the pull. 3) When ordering pasta instead of ordering by weight, order by serving size. Say things like "I'm having a dinner party for six, four big eaters and two regular", and they'll give you an incredibly accurate amount of what you need, plus a little extra (because people WILL want seconds, believe me!). 4) Their homemade calabrese olives are out of this world good. They use a puree of oil-marinated chilis, oregano, fennel (I think), and oil, and very, very good sun cured olives... and damn, these things are so good I eat them until I hurt. 5) Ask what's on special, or if they have any leftovers. I've scored half servings of pasta, day old (but still delicious) focaccia, and nearly expired but still awesome cheese for cheap. Finally, I'll also mention that the staff here are fabulous -- very nice people who greet with a smile, always bid a good day, and work diligently to help provide you with exactly what you need to hit a homerun with whatever it is you're cooking. Only downside: Toronto Maple Leaf fans. Egads!

I'll start with the food: I almost ALWAYS go for the chefs special. More specifically - the fish special. I've had trout, artic char, sea bass and salmon. Other favorites are the crab cakes, (they are a decent size and you get two) baked Brie, and the escargot . They also give you unlimited fresh baked bread! Service is always impeccable as well. The owner Lynn treats you like a friend and remembers us every time we visit. Nice and quiet. Cindy was our server, she was attentive and knowledgeable. We started with drinks and the French onion soup and caprese salad. My husband truly enjoyed the soup, piping hot and delicious. The caprese salad was okay. Invest in the good buffalo mozzarella or at least the larger sliced cheese. A tad over dressed. I had the sole with potatoes and veggies. It was to come with a lemon beurre blanc sauce that didn't seem to be very lemon forward. Hubby had the rigatoni calabrese, very good. The star of the meal was the chocolate cheesecake. Decadent, light for a cheesecake, wonderful crust. Overall a pleasant meal.

First time would have been ok, but we were seated by the exterior patio door, which was extremely loud and jarring every time it closed, which was every 10 seconds. It was very hard to enjoy our dinner with that banging that echoed throughout the exposed ductwork. Second experience started out fine, we were there for drinks and dessert, asked to be seated outside and they put us at a high top in the corner. We were sitting there about 10 minutes when a teenaged boy very loudly told us they made a mistake and that we had to move....literally everyone around us stopped their conversations and stared. So we moved to where we were instructed to go. THEN we were told to move AGAIN. Come on. We told the boy that he was embarrassingly loud and he immediately got defensive and wanted to go "ask everyone" if he was loud. Unreal. When we left we told the manager that this was inappropriate and she blamed us. We told her about the obnoxious loud door and she said that it's been that way for 8 years Overall, the food and drinks are fine, atmosphere would be great except the noise of the exposed ducts, and the service is despicable.
