CAUTION: Don't Bring Your Car Here!!!…read more I went to Tuffy in Glendale Heights to get the power steering line on my 2006 Volvo XC90 fixed, and they told me that in order for my car to run well, I needed several additional services: - Diagnostic Testing: $135.00 - Remove & Replace Spark Plugs: $405.56 - Power Steering Fluid Service: $246.85 - Emission Test at IL EPA: $89.00 - Front Disc Brake Service: $555.45 - Rear Disc Brake Service: $480.63 - Remove & Replace Drive Belt (Accessory/Serpentine): $220.64 - Remove & Replace Power Steering Line: $1,147.14 - Remove & Replace PCV Valve: $738.87 Despite paying $4,000 for all these services, they had my car for an entire month and still failed the emissions test, which never passed. I remained in a persistent cycle of having to call them for updates, each time hearing empty promises and new problems that led to further ballooning bills. Once my vehicle was finally returned, relief was short-lived. Within a week, the car began to shake and I had no choice but to return it to Tuffy. Three days went by before they finally called me to only to inform me of an "undetected" engine issue they failed to see initially. Shockingly, rather than fixing my car, they tried to pawn off another vehicle, which turned out to be a lemon--a blatant attempt to sweep their oversight under the rug and offload more problems onto me. The communication was nothing short of a catastrophe. After days of waiting for calls that never came, In sheer disbelief, I asked for at least half of my hard-earned money back, a request met with ongoing silence and no action. Ultimately left with no car and no resolution from Tuffy, I had to tow my beloved truck away, disheartened and significantly lighter in my wallet. I urge anyone considering auto services at Tuffy to think very carefully and consider this cautionary tale. The disappointment and financial hit were real, and I hope to spare others from similar distress. Thank you sincerely for taking the time to read and heed this warning.

The shop diagnosed and recommended replacement of both the driver and passenger lower control arms. I ultimately approved repair of only the side making noise for approximately $697 (versus the $1,394 they recommended for both sides). What bothered me most was that after the repair was completed, the technician test drove the vehicle, yet nobody informed me before making payment that the exact same noise was still present. I personally discovered it myself within less than 10 feet of driving out of the shop and immediately returned. The lack of communication regarding the unresolved issue felt very misleading and frustrating. Instead of taking ownership of the failed diagnosis or communication issue, the owner Elvis became defensive and stated the reason the noise remained was because I was "too cheap" to do all the work (both side, $1,397). He also suggested I should have replaced the upper control arm as well, despite the fact that they never diagnosed or recommended prior to the repair. I ultimately took the vehicle to the Tesla dealership, where the upper control arm issue was addressed at a significantly lower cost. While the lower control arms may have shown signs of wear, replacing worn parts that are not actually causing the customer's complaint makes little sense from a diagnostic standpoint. Based on my experience, the process felt more like guesswork than properly isolating the actual issue. Customer service was ultimately arrogant and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious bringing a Tesla here.

I went to the shop for a transmission fluid change. They charge me 225. I look under my truck after…read morethe service, its bone dry. Doesnt look like they touched it or cleaned it or changed the washers. I go back to ask what they did and why the plugs dont have any new washers. Because they dont look like theyve been touched. Transmission fluid leaves residue and even cleaning with brake cleaner would leave evidence. The tech told me he filled it and drained it from the level plug. Which makes no sense because the level plug indicates its full and isnt a low point to drain the pan. He said he has special tools to drain and fill from the level plug. In my mind im thinking BS. I wanted a refund. I dont think they did the service but they charged me anyway. Dont go here if you value honesty and integrity. The feeded me bs saying the level plug which indicates is full is where they drained it. You can see from my pictures none of the bolts look cleaned or even touched. No residue of oil, or cleaner because it looks like nothing was done to it.
