They always shine after any kind of misunderstanding. They took the reins and contacted Goodyear and got 3 of my tires prorated and only cost me $300 for them. The hiccup was one of the 4 was new and it wasn't recommended to rotate. I had just purchased the warranty after I purchased a car. Wasn't aware of that, and it was upsetting. Initially had a nail in my tire causing a slow leak. Stopped at Was lied to and told they couldn't fix it bc of where the nail was and that I needed 4 new tires. My concern was only that one tire but you're trying to sell me on 4. I declined. Went to a tire shop on Mannheim who plugged my tire in less than 10 mins. That week I ordered my tires online and set an appointment for service on Saturday. Come in early for my appointment, check in and once realizing he couldn't sell me on tires bc I had already bought 4, immediately went to trying to sell me on a wheel alignment. Again I politely decline because why would I pay them $200 when there are places that do it for a fraction of the price. He proceeds to the question me as though I'm lying until I show him the receipt of me purchasing my wheel alignment through another company. Once he saw the $65 dollar price he left me be. Tires get changed within an hour and I'm on my way. I live up the street so I didn't have a need to exceed 55mph as I only get on the expressway when I'm going to work. And that's when the problems started. Steering wheel and entire car shaking like a fuckin earthquake. Immediately once I get off I take my car to discount as the mechanic who did my alignment stated they may have balance my tires incorrectly. The second go around, while explaining my situation to the tech, he calls me back into the shop and says he identified the problem. Yes the balancing was incorrect severely on 1 rim which was my front driver side. Then proceeds to show me that my rim was bent. Now let's go back to the beginning. I originally was only here bc I had a nail in my tire causing a slow leak. That's it. No wheel alignment, no new tires, no bent rim, nothing but a simple plug. Then magically my rim is bent and no one knows how. I could see if I had hit a pot hole or anything but I hadn't. But you know who has a machine that they use to take tires off of rims that could also bend rims if done incorrectly.....DISCOUNT TIRE. I hope this review serves its purpose for the next customer bc no you're not crazy and no problems don't magically just start happening. People will fuck up and not say anything. Take note of your vehicle and watch everything they do cause as they've shown they will fuck your car up and then give it back to you like everything is ok when it's not. read more

We came to this location due to its availability online appointment in a Tuesday night. I highly recommend to book an appointment vs walk in. It took about 10 minutes of wait time and about an hour to replace our wheel and tire rotation. Once we checked in, I got a text message of length of wait time and a text for status how long they are finishing up with my car. The place was busy and we came on a Tuesday evening. When we arrived we were given clear directions where to go and what to do. We had to replace our wheel for our Subaru as air was slowly leaking. We brought our own wheel to be installed. A guy named Mike helped us...no problem Mike said I'll take care of your car, sweet! Nice guy! Since we bought our tires from discount tires from another location we paid for labor to replace the wheel. Mike was the best, he took his time explaining what he's checking in terms of our air in our tires. He was helpful and knowledgeable that we plan to come back to get another wheel changed as we are on a budget to get our one car family fixed as hubby is a full time driver. The place was spacious about 12 chairs spreads out. They are located off the busy street as a stand alone building with plenty of parking. They have free wifi and free cold water bottles in their mini fridge while you wait. Overall, great customer experience and friendly staff. When I got home last night I saw a piece of metal in my wife's car tire, luckily it wasn't flat. I made an online appointment for the next morning (convenient because they were closed). I drove the car to Discount Tire before the appointed time. The staff were able to evaluate the tire, then took it off , pressurized it and looked for a leak. The waiting room area is large and clean usually with adequate seating unless there is a large family present. When I lived in Las Vegas, that was when I discovered them I've always gotten good deals on my tires and the people were friendly, but for the last couple times I've had some issues in December the day after Christmas I brought my car in because the tire pressure light was on. I was told that the gauge is broken and my tires were fine. The next day I was driving down the street and my tire blew out and all the local stores were closed because it was Sunday, I had to pay to tow it to discount tire where I needed to get two new tires. I got there at 215 was told I needed a new valve so I told them ok please change, then of course salesman Jon tried selling me on new tires so told him no and just change the valve thanks. well waited 1hr45min for nothing at all. I bought my tires from here a few years ago so I come here for tire rotations and any other tire issues. I came a few months ago for a rotation and received great service. I had to return due to a slow leak in one of my tires. They follow Covid-19 protocols. I made my service appointment online. They have signs directing you to where you need to go. I pulled up, a service person met me at my car, pulled up my appointment and checked me in. They then had me park in a parking space until a bay was available. It wasn't long before someone came to my car and directed me to the bay where my car would be service. You drive it in yourself and keep your keys. You can wait in the lobby or outside. Since it was nice weather I waited outside. They checked the tire I was having with and discovered a nail in it. They patched and sealed the tire and I was good to go. I wasn't there a very long time. When my car was ready they came and got me, I got in my car and they directed me out of the bay and I was on my way. I liked that. Overall it was a good experience. Staff and customers were wearing masks and the service people were very efficient and professional. read more

My had a flat on I88 and need to get the tire repaired. I was near discount tires in Lombard. Long story short I decided to purchase 4 tires. I appreciated the deal and headed for my road trip. Unfortunately they forgot to put my donut back on my vehicle. I was of course not pleased. I spoke with Robert the manager and he provided immediate service recovery. He is super to deal with. Although I didn't appreciate having to return his pleasant demeanor made a difference. He even remembered our conversation and followed up. I'm writing because everyone makes mistakes it is how we recover that makes a good experience excellent! The store is busy! The check in process is automated which helps. They are a five in my book! How can they improve? Adding some outdoor seating and power plugs in the indoor waiting area. That being said their service time, bathrooms, waiting area and staff are excellent. Disappointed (and a little skeptical) I took it somewhere else to see if it could in fact be repaired. Long story short, discount tire was being honest. So I went back and they gave me a great price on tires and installation. (I also researched this and couldn't beat there prices in the area). It took a few days to get the tires in, but they have a free air check and fill station... so that was a pretty convenient stop on my way to work every morning to keep my tire inflated. I only gave 3 stars because of the wait and dirty washroom. I made my appointment for tires online to reserve my time. my car wasn't taken into the car port until an hour and 15 mins later. I was expecting to wait for my vehicle for at least 2 hrs especially because this location is seemed really busy on this Monday. My vehicle was ready 2 1/2 hours later. The staff seemed to be understaffed even though there were at least 4 staff members. I'm really not sure what the delay in time was to be honest. This place was a lifesaver today. My tire kept losing air and I decided to bite the bullet and get it checked out. They did a patch and alignment ... for free!!! I was shocked as most places charge at least $50 dollars for this service. They also have an online check-in and notification system which is pretty accurate. My Honda CRV has 20k miles on it and I got a nail in one tire. The staff was professional and friendly. They told me I would have to replace all 4 tires because my vehicle has AWD. If I wanted the same make/model of tire they would have to order and it would take several days to receive. I am here right now using discount tire (DT) wifi network. Came here to replace a flat (recently fixed somewhere else but leaks again so I want to replace it 4/32 thread left) and see if I need to replace my others since they are showing old guy's tire (I am not an old guy, but I drive few miles per day)! After initial investigation, they gave me a fair evaluation on my tires and fair advice. They took my old tires and gave me $30 for them as one of them (Nexus) was 7/32 and pretty healthy, but I wanted all be the same and have the 80k mileage warranty. My old ones were Assurance with 3 years on them but they were cracked (with less than 15k mile in 4 years) with one Nexus with the same age/mile but was pretty healthy. Their first suggestion was the most expensive and their best (sarcasticly Assurance(but another model)!) With $127. I may not keep the car that long so I skipped that option. Next was the tour version which are $48 but are not that good in winter (not a good option maybe for Lombard). Finally, I put new set of continental ($101 + extra cost and $90 discount for taking my old ones) with total $469 (most winter friendly tires are expensive). They also offered a credit card with $70 bonus on it, considering that the final price would be $400 for 80kmile warranty repair/replace set of continental tires. I am satisfied with this. As for timing, they told me it will be ready around 2pm (1.5 hours), I stayed, it is a busy rainy Saturday. After 1.5h they just took the car to change the tires. Also, I found their airpressure service very useful and interesting as they care about the fron/back pressure and do it with care. It looks a bit busy though and normally there are 4/5 cars in line. read more

While I bought my tires at the Discount Tires in Countryside I often will have the free air fills and tire rotations done here and in Merrillville, Indiana. This Lombard location has never made me wait more than a few minutes as they keep dedicated sections for both air checks and rotations. If I'm dealing with a flat or other more taxing issue I go to Countryside where they have more bays and more employees allowing for faster logistics and speed of service. If you make an appointment here do so for an earlier time than you want then call 15 minutes before to see if they're running on time. They'll likely tell you there is a delay and to come in 15 to 30 minutes later. The only other distinction I have about this Discount Tire is that they often have unclean restrooms. Most other locations are larger and use their "errand boy" to clean restrooms frequently. These don't as bad as gas station bathrooms but they always need attention. read more

They take appointments but then do not provide wait times for walk ins. I waited 2.5 hours on a Monday afternoon to get serviced. They took walk in customers out of order when they complained. When I complained they told me I was next. It then took another 45 minutes before they took my car. They never once gave me a wait time or checked in with me to tell me they were backed up. Additionally, I told them the problem was that there was a hole in my tire and they preceded to tell me it was just a bubble and would not need to be replaced. Finally when they brought the tire out they admitted that there was a hole in it. Terrible wait times and poor customer service. read more
