My kid always proclaims "these fries are better than In N Out" while eating them. Soft serve and root beer floats are tasty. And the staff is always friendly and genuinely happy to be serving you. Patio vibe on Tujunga is chill. Def one of my fav spots in Studio City area.

Portillos is too far away down in Buena Park to get there on an afternoon. About a year ago in a Reddit community the owner of this place said it was going to be opening and I had not gotten over yet. I made my way by about three weeks ago and was so disheartened. I didn't even want to leave a review. The Italian beef was on the wrong kind of bread so it got soggy, there was next to no beef on the beef sandwich, and the gravy was bland and greasy. And $17. It would have been a bad sandwich at $7. At $17 a complete rip off. It needed at least double the beef to get half way to a reasonable price at $17. This beef sandwich is an abomination and an insult. The Chicago dog, was lackluster. If it was a Vienna Beef dog and I can't be sure, it was a lower grade one. The cost for the Chicago dog was $9. Also far too much for a single hotdog. Even if the overheard requires that kind of mark up, I just can't support the place. Hope the owner is sending secret shoppers in to order at the same pace when they aren't there. Because the QC is not there. Another spot to not go to. I'm lease someone open a Chicago style hotdog beef stand that is actually good. You can and will make a killing. Too many of us here.

The people are super nice, always very polite and working at super speed. Saturday mornings for us are breakfast burritos and I really think there's is the best in Burbank. I like my fillings to be identifiable and not all chopped up. We get the sauce on the side, it's this wonderful jalapeño spice that is so tasty with just the right amount of warmth. We often go up for lunch, with our usual orders, being a #1 special with hamburger, fries, and a drink. And then I get a cheeseburger. The burgers are really good, and I especially love the fries! Recently, I wanted to try something different and tried a gyros sandwich and I think that might be my new favorite. Very fresh, the pita was soft but lightly toasted, the meat is tasty and there is a wonderful tzatziki sauce on it as well. Finally, their chili dogs are delicious! I get mine with chili, cheese, onions, and some mustard. I especially love that you can pick it up and eat it, so it's not all gross where you have to eat it with a fork. Highly recommend!

Larry's Chili Dog has the best breakfast burrito in Burbank and I will die on this hill!…read more I'm usually here first thing in the morning when I go, so it's never been crowded, but I think it gets busier as the morning goes on (and probably on the weekends as well). There's usually enough street parking as well as a few spots behind the store. Their breakfast burrito has eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, cheese, and their amazing green salsa (I always ask for an extra side of it). I love that all of the flavors balance each other out--there's not a single ingredient that overpowers another, or any that there's too much or too little of. There are a couple of tables outside, and sometimes they'll also open up their indoor seats. Service can be busy when they're busy but I've never waited more than 10 minutes to get my food.

I've never been the hugest fan of traditional pasta sauces, especially meat sauces, preferring to go with a lighter marinara and then having either a giant meatball or Italian sausage on the side. But chili? Chili, specifically beanless chili, was something I could get behind on spaghetti. Having that first platter of a Skyline 4-Way really solidified I'd found my preferred topping for pasta. Chili John's as probably the biggest purveyor of chili in the L.A. area had long been on my list of places I'd wanted to try in the area. I'd heard nothing but raves about their chili and the array of dishes built around it. The spaghetti did not disappoint as I found their chili beefy, savory, and super flavorful, especially with the addition of the onions and cheese that is a must for the dish. Plus, thanks to the recommendation of the server, the chili was also noticeably spicy and this added a well-appreciated punch of fire to the whole entree. The service was amazing. It was personable and helpful, as the dude was full of recommendations and commentary about a menu and business he obviously had a deep affection for. I wish all restaurants had service this deeply dedicated to providing a superb experience to all its customers. The ambiance was distinct, it is on the small side of dining areas, with all the seating being a horseshoe pattern around the central service area. It also wasn't the most modern interior or exterior, but I feel that's part of its charm. It feels like a place with a deep history of being an area establishment for decades. It breathes character and charm. I can't think of a better place to eat a bowl of traditional chili whose recipe hasn't been fudged with in decades. Overall, I can't recommend this place more highly. This is my kind of place and somewhere I hope to frequent going forward.
