The owner came out a…read moreweek in advance to give an estimate for removing 2 hickory trees (the tree limbs were growing dangerously close to the deck/house and the squirrels were jumping onto the roof from the trees). The owner was knowledgeable and recommended that if I took out the 2 hickories, I should also remove the 35 foot tall poplar tree that was growing directly behind it, since the poplar had no limbs and was a weaker tree and would not withstand high storm winds once the limbs from the 2 hickories were no longer there to protect it. He also pointed out another poplar on my property that was dead and growing on an embankment and threatening to fall over. He quoted a fair/reasonable price. I got other estimates - one company said the job was too small, one company said they don't cut down trees taller than 30 feet tall that are within 10 feet of the house, one company quoted a price triple Gomez' price. While there were some hiccups with scheduling--he rescheduled on me twice, he called with enough notice that it did not impact my plans. On the day they arrived (3 days after the first scheduled date), they showed up bright and early, and the owner and his crew worked efficiently. Simply because of the difficulty of the terrain, we expected a lot of our yard to be destroyed. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful job they did and very minimal land disturbance. Came back the next day with the crew. Super efficient. Very respectful and kind. I was obviously upset about the tree and Patricio was amazing. Tree removed carefully and he took photos of the roof for me. The yard was cleaned up and you couldn't tell all that had happened. They put the tarps back up to cover every hole in the roof. Overall, amazing service. Got a quote on some other trees that were making me nervous and was very pleased with the amount. Refused to get the roof repaired in a timely manner despite inclement weather coming. Owner starts harassing (at 7PM) days me after I left a 3 star review. Failed to complete the project by removing the limbs over my house as stated in the contracted. I was charged over $5000 for perfunctory work ( that ultimately was not completed) and then get harassed when honest reviews are left. This company does not respect the Consumer Review Fairness Act and engages in punitive behavior in an effort to curate 'good' reviews.

Their pricing was clearly the best of several bids. The trees were all in tight quarters and had to be roped out. They were particularly careful protecting certain areas with important plants or smaller trees. There was minimal damage and less than would be expected for a job of this size. The salesman and project manager were often on site during the work, but the 6 man crew was more than capable on their own. They had the necessary equipment to move quickly and efficiently.
