My shade tree grew roots that could severely damage my home, it had uprooted my patio so much as I dreaded to do it, I needed it taken down pronto. I wanted ;iability security from any possible damage that might ensue to me or my connecting neighbor. I started to search but wanted an insured tree service. Landrum came assessed the tree situation, sat down with me, made a reasonal proposal for the work, offered senior discount and an equitable way to ease the burden for payment. I had 10 trees that were 60-80' tall that needed to be removed. The trees were pine and sweetgum and located at a distance of 16 to 46 feet from our structures. One of the sweetgum clusters was about 7 foot across at the base, and left buckets of seed pods every year, in addition to being a threat to falling on the house. I am a DIY guy, but this was clearly too big and dangerous of a job for me. I got a reasonable quote from Russ Landrum, and asked them to wait to begin work until we had a few dry days due to the wet soil. I was also flexible with respect to his other jobs. When Landrum Tree Service came out, they brought a small team of people who were kept busy by their on-site manager Jordan. They took the trees down and ground the stumps in one day, without any damage to our structures. They used automation to confirm the appointment, as well as for providing the estimate and billing and payment. It all worked very well for me. Landrum Tree Service was very professional and friendly. They were from out of town and as I was very skeptical at first. But after talking with him, I realized that his prices were better than most and they required nothing up front. They had the right equipment and were able to get the job down in a little over a day. They saved me money and time. They were always thinking about safety and how to remove trees the safest way possible. He even showed up a few days early to remove a tree that was hanging over the driveway that would have taken the power line out. They did this to take the tree down safely before it had fallen down at any point if not removed. I felt like they really do care about their customers safety. They had a great crew that was very respectful and polite. Even though they were from out of town, they were better than some of our local tree companies. I highly recommend them!! Russell (the owner) explained everything thoroughly pertaining to both the job as well as how the insurance situation works. He was very open and promptly sent me his insurance information. The day they showed up, early and on time, they immediately got busy and periodically would ask me to come out and look at the work to make sure I was satisfied. I was. The job was to trim a back a very large oak tree and to cut down a good sized oak tree. They did a really great job; they made sure they didn't tear the yard up and were very clean (as much as they could be.) Do use Landrum Tree Service! All representations of your company should be positive. Got stuck behind one of your vehicles going 25 under the speed limit without hazards on a state road causing dangerous traffic situation. I would never hire a place where I know I would be causing a dangerous situation just by coming to my house. UPDATE FROM OWNER RESPONSE: I certainly hope whatever case you remember specifically is not the one I was in. 45 minutes from Covington area to McDonough is not what I would consider pulling over immediately. I'm located in Stockbridge Ga. Best pricing around, not only that, they had very limited space to drop 5 trees in my front yard between my figs and blackberry bush and also with my septic tank being in my front yard. They took great care not to damage my fruit trees. I'll be definitely using them in the future. Very friendly, professional, here at the crack of dawn. Russ came out and, gave me a quote to remove a tall dead pine from my property. After observing the tree he informed me that it was extremely close to the power lines and, suggested that I call the power company 1st to see about them removing the tree. I called my power company and, they were out in 2 days and, removed the tree for no charge. I sincerely appreciate Russ's honestey...it saved me hundreds of dollars. The company came out and took a dangerous deceased oak tree leaning over the house. The crew was polite and excellent to work with. The cleanup was awesome - looked as if there was never a tree. My grass / yard / sod was not destroyed as the previous tree company had done. They keep the price as quoted and I did not pay any money up front. My family and I recommend Landrum Tree Service. This company is awful stay away!!!! The owner promised to take all trees and stilumps away and made an awful mess of our yard. Workers did not speak English. We had debris on our vehicles and Russ the owner said he had a death in his family and would handle it. 6 months later his promises failed to come through. Please use a reputable tree company and skip this one. He is also unlicensed. read more

This s great company. Highly recommend... Mr Landrum told me two of the trees I asked about did not need to come down and found one in the backyard that was a safety hazard. He could have taken down all three just to make money, but he is honest and has integrity. The crews were on it and did a great job !!!! I will use him again. !!! read more
