Here are the reasons why Matt is amazing: PROFESSIONAL: Matt spent a lot of time prior to our wedding discussing with us our needs and priorities. He has a lot of experience and asked us specific questions about things that we didn't even think of. FLEXIBLE to our needs: My husband and I initially wanted to do an elopement with a few close friends, but like all weddings, the guest list soon grew, and became a small wedding. Matt was extremely flexible and worked with us to make sure we fulfill our needs. Our timeline kept changing literally up until the last minute, and Matt was also very flexible and understanding of that. Goes ABOVE and BEYOND: We got married by the ocean in a state park. Matt is so amazing that he arrived almost 3-hours early at the wedding site to scope out sceneries for the photos. He even helped with the setting up process for the ceremony (e.g. helping arrange the ceremony for the best lighting)! During our wedding, he pretty much did everything, short of the risk of life (except when he did risk falling into the water :p), to capture amazing shots! At the same time, he made us forget there was a camera. Made us feel COMFORTABLE: I knew we were going to spend a lot of time with our photographer on our wedding day, and I wanted someone who can make us feel comfortable, especially since normally I get very awkward when other people take my photo. Matt is by far the most easy going, nice, and friendly photographer you will ever meet. It felt like he was like an "old friend" both my husband and I had. Even our families loved Matt! From the time that she and I first spoke, I knew that we clicked and that she would do what she needed to in order to make my vision a reality. We spoke a couple of times prior to the wedding and ironed out details. On the wedding day, she arrived early, scoped out the space and sat with me while we discussed what my vision was. She has such a wealth of knowledge and knows exactly where to place you for the best possible photos. She just has that eye for detail that is truly necessary. Besides being amazing and catching so much of our special day, she helped out with other tasks throughout the day as well. When my bridesmaids and I were struggling with my bustle, she stepped right in and got it all taken care of for me. (it is a low price, but many weddings have multiple photographers for 5+ hours) i only needed one photographer, for 2 hours. very simple. Robert Baker emailed me to insult me and say how this was so low and i was ignorant and a cheap skate. I explained to him it is only 2 hours of photography and we had found someone already. He then sent me a litany of emails explaining how i was "so unclassy" he also suggested i use birth control so I didnt continue to breed my stupidity. I have worked with several photographers, and left great reviews for them, and during the planning of my wedding I have worked with many vendors. I was really outraged to see this coming from someone who refers to themselves as a professional. I really wish if he was not interested he would have kept going and not stopped to harrass me for a whole hour! I was very disappointed with his professionalism (or lack of)

My husband and I are absolutely speechless at the breathtakingly beautiful and candid wedding…read morephotos Ramin shot for us in April of this year near Sonoma. Not only is the composition and overall "look" of the photos of the highest quality, but Ramin was also able to put two very camera shy people at ease immediately with his incredibly relaxed and kind personality, plus that witty charm. Ramin is a humble, kind soul who truly goes out of his way to deliver an incredibly easy experience with phenomenal results. When we were originally looking for wedding photographers, we had a bunch of high-end options available (coming from Los Angeles), but felt very saddened by the price tag and worried we would have to settle for less on the big day. Ramin made is absolutely possible to have the very best photo experience with all of the shots we dreamed of while at the same time working with our limited funds; in fact, we felt he severely under-charged us for these photos-- that is how wonderful they are, and so well-within our budget... Not to mention that it was his daughter's birthday on the day of our wedding, and he at no point in time made us feel rushed whatsoever or even mentioned it until he was leaving! Ramin's clients feel like an absolute priority while he is working with them. Lastly, the turn around on getting the photos, of which in our chosen package we were given full access and rights to downloading in high quality from a weblink, was incredibly quick! Within 3 days we were looking at the hundreds of lovely shots from our wedding, when many of my friends say it took their photographers weeks or even months to get them their shots! I can't say enough kind words about The Marin Studio…read more My fiance and I met Ramin at a bridal fair looooong before our wedding and we immediately hit it off--he was so easy to talk to and his work really speaks for itself. On top of that, their pricing is a steal. You just can't find work of their quality at the pricing they offer. Period. Our engagement shoot with Ramin back in March was amazing (despite unexpectedly terrible weather). He totally rolled with the punches and made it work...and the pictures? FANTASTIC. In fact, we got our edited engagement pictures back TWO DAYS after our shoot. Yeah. TWO DAYS. Amazing. Theeeen, on the day of the wedding...we had selected a package that included both Ramin and Beth and they both showed up exactly on time with big smiles on their faces. They were like little, unobtrusive flies on the wall getting all of my requested detail shots! Beth spent the morning with the guys (and they all totally adored her and couldn't stop talking about how sweet she is) and Ramin stayed with the girls (he was equally adored!). Anyway, we, once again, had less-than-ideal weather...but they made it work! All of my family loved Ramin and Beth and still talk about them almost 2 months later. And, oooooh my goodness...the pictures. We got our pictures back about 2 weeks after the wedding and they are all absolutely gorgeous.
