Tacos de asada y carnitas
Derek B.

I just put down three meaty ass delicious tacos: 2 asada and one carnitas. Soaked and drobbled all three in the red and green sauce...loaded up on the free radishes and maronated onions with peppers and cilantro....each taco busted out to $2.50 each. They were as good if not better than Tijuana taco stands in La Zona Norte near the Hong Kong Bar and Las Chevalas....definitely most definitely Sho'am good and it's only 2:57 am ! Come here go here....eat here...corner of Bwllvue and South Fair Oaks Ave( just below Del Mar...east side of the street) .....chingón cabrons!

2 beef, 1 tripa, 1 pastor. Beef and pork was good but tripa wasnt crunch enough and kinda hard 7/17/25 $2.5 each
Hannah L.

Decent tacos for $2.50 per. Got the asada, pastor, and tripa. Generous with their meat, and good flavor. Cooked in a way where the meat is less tender and more chewy. Would've liked for the tripa to be more crispy than chewy. Salsas are bomb, and so are their pickled onions. I would like to try their lengua next time! They have parking spaces in the back but no where to really stand or sit to eat outside. Easily found street parking as well around 10PM on a Wednesday.

Posted on IG on 9/7/24 I was so excited to see "my" taco truck on the LA Times 101 Best Tacos list!! Tonight's visit was the beginning of my newest quest: to try all of the tacos on the list (except fish unless they're fried @jenn_harris_ listed Arturo's lengua taco as the one to try, and I did!! It was meaty, as she described, and a little gamey imho. But definitely good. Of course, I had to also get a carne asada because they are the BEST!!! And what's better than standing next to a concrete wall in an empty tire store parking lot and eating tacos?!?! One down, 100 to go.

This was the cleanest and most generously made street tacos I have ever had in LA. The meat was not greasy at all and you could tell it was fresh and good meat. First time here. I might upgrade to 5 next time when I get to try more of their items but for now, I am leaning towards 4 because of their condiments. I wish they had more and better variety of salsas and pico de gallo and such. There was this weird salsa/sauce that was with a mixture with onions but tasted weird as if it was old. It kind of ruined my tacos to be honest . There is parking lot next to it with most cars parking and eating there it was very convenient.

Taco truck located on Fair Oaks in Pasadena. I'm not too familiar with the area, but the street didn't seem to busy when I visited on a weeknight to grab some dinner on the way home from work. There's a lot and seemingly plenty of street parking around. Since it wasn't too busy, the vibe here was pretty chill and was able to order from some helpful folks pretty much right away. What brought me here was the LA Times list...so I ordered a lengua taco as well as a tripa taco. Lengua tacos aren't usually my go to especially when I'm going to new spots, but glad I tried it here.

Wrapped Asada Burrito

Solid little taco truck in the area! Had a craving for tacos or a burrito after a late night shift and as I was thinking about where to go I drove past this truck, so I decided to give it a shot. It was around 11pm when I came, there were maybe two other people there waiting as well, but their wait wasn't long. The truck seems clean and they have a self serve salsa station in the front which is awesome, not stingy with their salsas lol. Service was good, and food was out quickly. The burrito was yummy but pretty basic as far as an asada burrito goes; the beans and rice were cooked well and had good flavor, but the meat definitely left you wanting more in terms of taste. For the price, at the late night hours and for the serving size it's a solid option for sure and if it's ever late again and I have a craving maybeee I'll be back hehe Recommend if it's late and there's not many options, or for something cheap and quick!

Excellent taco truck! Super friendly staff and so many choices! Loved that there were offal choices like intestine and stomach. Flavors were amazing. Salsas were good. Located in a parking lot so plenty of parking and they have a few chairs out if you want to sit there and eat.

Carne asada Al pastor tripa
Stephanie L.

$2.50 or $2.75 for tacos. Arrived at 4:55 pm and they wouldn't take our order until 5 pm on the dot. Tripa was crunchy, asado and al pastor was flavorful but fatty. Service can be better with so many other taco trucks in the area.

cali burrito

sooo satisfying especially after a long night! opens late and a lot of people stop by for a quick lil bite (or big... if ur habibi) i always order buche (delicious as always)/ pastor (more on the drier side) tacos and it's enough to fill me up but my bf got the cali burrito and that thing's huge; packed with crispy fries and meats -- although it was better with the green avocado salsa ! i really appreciate the cleanliness and organization of the cilantro, onions, lemons and bottles of sauces! also a bit pricey imo but shoutout habibi for always feeding me mwah :-)

Three asada tacos, yes!

Undoubtedly, it is the best taco stand I have ever experienced--elite level of food and a low-priced menu that is no frills and all quality. I visited twice recently while in SoCal, and their Fair Oaks Avenue parking lot provides ample and spacious parking. Their lines can be longer, but it is worth it. People are thrilled to be there, so it is a fun atmosphere, with various families, dates, business people, and locals just getting their fill of their favorite food truck. I enjoyed their asada tacos both times, and they were terrific. Somehow, their asada beef is the best I have ever had, and their vegetables are fresh and plentiful. I love their hot and green sauces, too. While I LOVE the tacos, I also enjoyed their Alambres for the first time on this visit, which was spectacular! A mix of asada beef, vegetables, and other tasty items was extraordinary and worth both the short wait and the $15 price. An explosion of taste with various spiciness, it was so darn good. Cash only, open 6 PM to 2 PM most nights and until 3 AM Friday and Saturday.

Also, chicken could have been crispier outside but that's just me I prefer crispier popcorn chicken. Otherwise it was solid and right amount of seasoning and honey milk tea was yum. Didn't taste powdered down or anything. I ordered 50% and the honey taste is memorable . There's other food trucks available so as far as vibes... busy all around! I usually just try to blend in with the crowd and point to what looks the yummiest to me hoping they have popcorn chicken lol So I will definitely come back again for some yummy treats when I'm leaving work hehe

It's a one-man operation, so wait times can be a bit longer if he's busy--but it's understandable. I loved the neon signs and the hospitality Rodney brings. You can genuinely taste the soul he puts into his food. That said, a few notes come down to personal preference--so if you enjoy it as-is, feel free to take this with a grain of salt. The ribs were incredibly tender--10/10. They were truly fall-off-the-bone. Personally, I would have loved a bit more of that smoky char you get from Texas-style ribs, but that's just my preference. Either way, Rodney clearly knows what he's doing. The potato salad wasn't my favorite. It leaned heavily on mustard, and there seemed to be a lot of relish or pickles, which threw me off a bit. Still, I'd absolutely come back again just for the ribs. The customer ahead of us ordered brisket, and I appreciated that Rodney was upfront about whether it was on the leaner or fattier side--that level of honesty goes a long way. Overall, the BBQ smelled and tasted great, and the pricing is very reasonable for the portions you get--it's definitely worth the value. If you enjoy good BBQ, I'd recommend making the trip to check this spot out before more people discover it. One thing to note: the ribs are truly fall-off-the-bone, so if you prefer a firmer, more "bite-through" texture where you can really gnaw on the meat, this might not be your style.

The meat is tender, juicy and not over seasoned. The ambience and service are the only reasons why I'm giving it four stars versus five. It's a food truck so there is no ambience. Birds were chirping and music was playing out of the speakers scattered throughout the area. It's a food truck. I ordered the cheesy Mikey. I only waited less than 5 minutes for it. The line to order was pretty long. I waited in that line for an hour or longer. But that's understandable since a lot of groups ordered tons of items while it was just me that ordered. I got to speak to Mike since one of his employees left. He verified my order, gave me napkins since it's not self serve and pointed out the ketchup and other condiments I think. The cheeseburger came with lettuce tomato onion garlic aioli sauce and the patty. I loved how all the flavors blended together, nothing was overpowering. It came with fries and it filled me up. The portion size was perfect. My order was $23.84 but that's because I tipped 10% and I think it was worth it. My one gripe was that they don't accept cash which is understandable because the kiosk was card only. I should've walked to the front and checked it or asked an employee. Yelp assistant said they accept cash so that needs to be corrected to sometimes or never.

I didn't wait too long for my food either and I can understand how stressful it can get and how backed up the orders can get too. Their speedy work is doubly impressive because they offered multiple things off their menu and allowed people to make customizations too. I got the Cheesy Mikey, which is their hand crafted 1/2 lb angus beef patty burger. The burger is seasoned with their Mike's Fat Boy's seasoning. The burger comes with a generous portion of chopped lettuce, sliced tomato, American cheese on a grilled brioche bun (it was grilled with butter and had a nice tasty crispy edge of the bun). The burger came with their garlic aioli sauce. It's a very filling burger and perfect for me since I didn't have breakfast. I will have to admit that this burger is a bit saltier than what I would have liked, but if you balance out your bites to get enough lettuce and tomato within the ratio, it balances out the saltiness, but if there's the option to adjust it, I definitely would. Overall, pretty good!

I pulled into the Good Fortune Supermarket (formerly Hong Kong Supermarket) parking lot to check it out. Everything looked new and clean, but business seemed slow because no one was around. Two Asian men sitting around liao tianr-ing (chatting) sprang up as I approached. My Chinese not being the best combined with their somewhat heavy mainland accents meant I didn't know how or what to order. They said they had one last serving of what sounded like "lamb" to me left. I took a glance and saw grilled/fried stuff on the menu, so I said sure why not. I asked how long they've been open, what their hours are, and if they're usually at this location. They said this is the first week they've been open, their hours are around 5 PM to 9 PM, and yes they are usually in front of the supermarket. I asked if I could take pictures and if they had a Yelp page, and they said sure and not yet. Around this time, while I was chatting with one guy and the other guy was preparing my order, a few other groups of people saw the commotion and started inching closer, curious. You know me, always blazing trails. Anyway, it wasn't until I paid and got change that I realized what I ordered. Apparently I ordered the Brothers Features Liangpi. I've never heard of a liangpi, so I was excited to bring it home to try it out. It turns out liangpi is like a flat rice noodle (or mungbean sheet?) cut up with cold cucumbers, tofu, cilantro, and a bit of Sichuan pepper (mala). They gave me a sesame sauce on the side. It was pretty good. In summary: Food was good though I ordered only one thing. I'll be back sometime in the next few days to try out more of their menu. Service was good. I was the only one around for a bit, but they were definitely friendly. Food truck with an "A" rating from the health department. It's a positive, but part of me wants to count it as a negative. Asian street food, to me, just isn't the same without massive cockroaches skittering around piles of rotting vegetables all around me while mosquitoes eat me alive. Pricing seems fair. Definitely not cheap as my liangpi wasn't huge or anything, but it wasn't too expensive either. I hope Asian-street-food food trucks become more popular.
