Taco Dorado and Huesi Taco!! So yummy.
    Giselle M.

Highly recommend this place. The service is a 10/10 alone. Super friendly staff and very fast service. Their food here is bomb and I always tell my friends about it. I got the tacos dorado and huesi tacos. Please try this place if you can!

Honestly...there were just okay. Saw this truck and thought, finally Birria near me in the SGV and I wouldn't have to drive to Teddy's Red Tacos (they are truly the gold standard). But the tacos did not wow me, in fact, I was highly disappointed. Got the combo which includes 2 soft tacos, one hard taco and quesataco with a consome (broth from the birria) . They were good in that the textures and freshness was there but the taste wasn't. It literally lacked flavor. Also got a major hit of anise probably from the broth which threw me off. Pros, the beef is tender and their spicy salsa was legit. Extremely greasy fare, bring hand wipes. Forgettable meal at best. Unfortunately, unless the recipe changes, I don't see myself here again.

(((WARNING, WARNING, WARNING))) Pepe's Red Tacos who apparently changed their name to El Cabo Pepe's but truck still has old name graphics, Pepe's has multiple trucks around the Los Angeles area, I've been to several and also enjoyed the food. So WHY the WARNING?!? First time at this Pasadena location, the Menu has photos but NO pricing, I'm in a hurry and already know what I want, I ordered 1 Birria Plate, 3 Quesatacos Dorado and 2 Bottled Agua Fresca ((($47.34))) OK, so I either got ripped off, or they have raised prices to a ridiculous amount?! Let me give you a guesstimate of what I PAID. Birria Plate 1x $18.00 Quesatacos 3x $5.00 = $15.00 Bottled Auga Fresca 2x $5.00 = $10.00 Total $43.00 + Tax = Total Charged was $47.34 that is my best guess on pricing, again I either got overcharges or this truck is ridiculously priced, so for that I WARN YOU STAY AWAY. Food is solid 4-5 STAR, but I'll never go to ANY of their trucks again! Got the sampler platter with birria. The tacos and the birria were really good and fulfilling. The truck is parked on a curbside and we parked a little bit down the street. There were also no visible prices on the truck so that's a unfavorable. Overall a good meal but not sure if it's all too convenient.

Saw that their truck has a new location nearby and decided to try it. Came on Saturday morning right when they arrived so there were no lines. Street parking is easy to find. Had to try the bone marrow taco. Also ordered some quesotacos. Everything was really tasty and that consume is on point. I even saved some consume for the next day to dip random food in. Definitely recommend!!!

We ordered the sample platter and the Birria plate. Sampler plate - they run out of cheese, so we got (2) tacos suaves and (2) taco Dorados instead. The beef fillings tasted exactly the same on both tacos. The only difference was the Dorados was fried tacos. We liked the taste and we also liked the soup that came with it. Birria plate- same beef, we the same flavor. The plate came with a little beans and rice. Be prepared to shell out $$. Our order came out to $31 (no drinks). That's what I would pay for a sit in -dine in restaurant, not a taco truck. That's just too much. Will we come back? Probably not.

Great food truck! Tacos are kind of pricey but that's just how these tacos are at all places. Really good flavor and wasn't stingy on the cheese. The workers are real nice people! Give it a try

    Jennifer L.

Tried the three amigos. Great way to sample different things. Some items were a bit dry but good to dip with consommé. Bone marrow was fun to eat with. A bit fatty but good. Loved the hot sauce they included. Super spicy and flavorful.

    Huesi Taco
    Tiffany W.

My boyfriend and I came to this truck after driving past it many times on the way home. We were excited to try the huesi or bone marrow tacos advertised on the side of the truck. PARKING: The truck is situated on a curb on Sierra Madre, so all parking is dependent on street parking. We parked our car next to the curb in front of the truck. FOOD: We both ordered Huesi / bone marrow tacos, which came with 1 taco, 1 bone with marrow, consomme, and a couple of sauces. The bone marrow was fatty, but didn't taste fresh or fully seasoned. The tortilla of the taco was so soggy that it fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The consomme was also very salty. For 1 taco per order with underwhelming bone marrow, $11.25 per huesi order is super overpriced. For better birria tacos, you're better off going to Teddy's Red Tacos to get more bang for your buck with food that's guaranteed to hit every time.

    Sample Platter
    Carol L.

For my first time I got the SAMPLE PLATTER, which comes with: - 2 tacos suaves (soft taco with beef birria) - 1 taco dorado (crunchy taco with beef birria) - 1 queso taco (soft taco with melted cheese and beef birria) - 8 oz consomme My favorite was the queso taco as it can be fairly dry with just the beef birria. And given that, their flavorful consomme is essential both for dipping and sipping. The crunchy taco doesn't stay very crunchy so you're basically getting three soft tacos. Honestly you're better off just ordering a few different items since they're fairly similar. If I were to come back, I'd get a queso taco, a vampiro and maybe a mulita in addition to the consomme. When I came on a Friday early evening I was the only customer, but no one acknowledged me in the truck as I stood there by the window. It took an awkward amount of time for someone to come over to take my order and at best they just seemed super-bored. Even the guy who handed me my order was devoid of any emotion beyond utter boredom. Lastly you might want to check your condiments before you leave. I got like a bagful of onions with barely any cilantro.

    Torta
    Kathy C.

At the intersection of Altadena and Sierra Madre. The truck will be parked on Sierra Madre. We ordered the torta and the sampler platter. Both come with a side of consome. The sampler comes with two birria tacos, a mulita, and a taco dorado. They were all essentially the same thing, but with cheese on the mulita. The torta was a good size. Onions and cilantro packed on the side. Glad we tried the truck but didn't knock our socks off. I prefer goat birria but it can be hard to find. 2.5 stars rounded up.

    Sampler and bone marrow taco
    Michelle N.

Been driving by every Sunday but couldn't stop and today I decided to stop there and grab a late lunch. First time having a bone marrow serve with a taco! I love bone marrow so this is a must order for me. The sampler platter is great especially if you're a first timer like me. I didn't want to wait to take it home to eat it so I popped open my trunk and dine right there. The flavor was tasty and just the right ratio of meat to shell. I will definitely go back again and try their other dishes. I think it would so cute if they are allow to set up a couple portable bistro table and chairs :)

Birria ramen was bomb, very tender and great tasting birria. New spot in pasadena, finally a good food truck in pasadena.
