The insurance company set up an appointment with Service King for an estimate on the damages. Stephanie was our Service Advisor and was approachable, professional, and thorough from the start! Immediately she recognized that it was not safe to drive our truck. She didn't hesitate to make the necessary calls to get us into a rental vehicle immediately. Over the days that followed Stephanie kept us informed on the progress of our estimate. She knew how we valued our vehicle and truly hoped it could be fixed. The numbers were tight but the insurance company gave the nod and the tear down began. That's when Stephanie had to call us with the sad sad news. There was more damage than what could have been determined with the initial estimate. Now we were beyond value and the insurance company was sure to total our vehicle. Stephanie was timely in very way. She never left us feeling like we were forgotten or on the bottom of her list of jobs. It's not every day that we face losing a vehicle that we rely on so much - almost like a member of the family. She got that. Called Mr. Oliver on Thursday, 1/3/19, left message, no return call as requested. Went to business on 1/7/19 at 1:00pm to give him a check. He began by saying he was going to call me. Said he was having employee problems and wasn't going to be able to repair my truck as scheduled. I asked when he thought he could get to it but he suggested a couple of places that might be able to do it. I persisted as to when he might be able to get me in and he said maybe the middle of February. I said I could wait because I wanted his shop to do the work. He kept saying to take it another shop because things were unsettled there. I asked if he was going out of business and he said no. He again suggested a shop saying he knew the owner. I had gone there originally before going to Coach Craft and was told they were only taking jobs from four specific insurance companies. This job was not insured by one of them. I explained this to him and asked if he would call ahead to try and help me get an appoint for the repair. He refused. I again asked if he would agree to repair my vehicle, without committing to a specific date, if they couldn't. He now said that it would be the middle of March or later if he were to be able to do the repairs and would not discuss any possible date. He made another excuse of a personal nature and got angry because I told him I'm not understanding why he won't commit to repairing my vehicle and that there has to be something else going on that I am unaware of. No parts were ordered. Nothing was done other than to waste more than a month of my time and driving to his shop three times(approximately 120 miles total). If he didn't want the job then why take it? He is a terrible businessman and a rude individual. Ridiculous experience.
