When they finished, I reached out to receive their report via email. It came back saying everything was in good shape, so we had a contractor come out to take another look. Turns out the repair needed was so obvious to the contractor (from two stories below) that he didn't even have to use his drone to evaluate the damage. It's hard to wonder how these professionals missed such a glaring problem. Just yesterday, we had a handyman come out to do the repair and while up on the roof they noted that we even had a tile completely broken in half just above the damage to the soffet and fascia (of which you could see from below). In a sentence: This team cleans gutters, if you are in need of a reliable inspection/maintenance evaluation--I suggest you go with someone else.

The Issues: Negligence: After finishing the roof, the crew completely forgot to reattach the gutters. Lack of Communication: It took several phone calls just to get a response regarding the gutters. Property Damage/Residue: Upon closer inspection, there is now visible residue inside my bathroom skylight left behind by the workers. HOA Violations: Because this is a rental property, the detached front downspout resulted in me receiving a violation notice from my HOA before I was even aware of the problem. They removed the cover , saw the pump motor worked and checked to see the cartridges in the filter system, I was told they sweep a little. The whole process took 1 1/2!hrs. Need less to say the pool water was terrible and smelled. They said the put some shock in. First, the filtration system was not cleaning at all so I , put in an over amount of shock. It did take the smell away but still was not clean. Had my son recheck both top skimmers and found a plug was left so the water could not flow to the filter. Now after a few weeks I was able to get the cloudiness out of most of the water. Shock, the cleaning jets on the pool wall still had the plugs in them. So total plugs never removed were 6. No wonder I could never get the water clear. I paid a total of $575 because of my in-ground cleaning system , which could not work properly until I removed all the 6 plugs, which should have been done when they opened it. I was totally surprised this morning with a text from the owner of BMA pools. He had just come back from vacation and just read my text to him. He apologized for any of my inconvenience and sent me a refund of $200. Thorough pictures but the estimate was missing a room and had to be resubmitted. 2. The PM said there would be weekly status, seemed professional and trustworthy. There was limited follow-through, and I did not receive weekly status. There is not transparency, accountability, or updates. 3. The project is delayed 2 months at this point, and I am paying rent and a mortgage out of pocket. 4. I contacted someone for assistance. As a reader I'm sure you will not be surprised to hear that the conversation should have been recorded as what 'not to do on the phone with a customer.' 5. The work looks like it will be good and what I've seen so far looks good, although there is not much to comment on. The work team seems to be courteous and conscientious. I think the end result will be decent because of the talented work team. I'm not sure if the PM is stretched too thin, if it's disorganization in the company, or a few bad seeds, or something beyond their control. I prepared myself for what I thought was a worst-case scenario which would result in an easy win and a satisfied customer. I'd like to say I'm shocked but I'm not and I don't have another company to recommend. Suggestions: 1. Read the good reviews and ask for those PMs if you have to work with this company. 2. Document everything. 3. Find out who is responsible above the PM at the onset in order to stay on top of things. 4. Expect that it will be more time-consuming than you expect and add 2 to 3x the amount of time to the project plan. 5. Email instead of calling, because you will not appreciate the communication, and you won't have it documented. Keep a folder in your email for the project so you don't have to hunt for the paper trail. Or print and keep a binder. 6. Know your agreement, contract rights, where to write the state contractor licensing board or the state insurance commission depending on what the delay is about, and be very clear with communications.
