Awful execution. Sarcastic owner. I needed one patch added to my son's karate robe. A's had at least half a dozen sewing machines and a wall covered in alteration gear so I assumed they knew what they were doing. Initial interaction was perfect. When I picked up the robe, however, the patch was a little off-center and askew, despite telling the owner exactly how to line it up with the other patches, and suggesting they use the sleeve crease as a guide. But I thought it was passable for $12. Great price, I'm good. But when I got home I looked at the actual stitching. It looks like it was done by someone that had no clue how to attach a patch compared to the other patches on the robe (performed by another shop). I brought it back and explained that I was concerned about the huge gaps between stitches, since my son competes in grappling competitions with this robe. It looks like the patch could easily get ripped off if a finger got in there. They offered to fix it this weekend, but that's too late for me. The owner offered to take the patch off and give me my money back, which I greatly appreciated. That's all I wanted. At this point, I was fine with the situation, happy to take it somewhere else, despite the huge inconvenience. I wouldn't have even posted this... but the owner just couldn't help herself. As she was walking away with the robe, she said sarcastically, and I quote, "I didn't know they wore these inside-out" referring to my comments about how ugly the stitching was. At this point, I told her to give it back to me. Her first instinct was to refuse. So I had to sternly tell her to give it back to me right now, and that I will be posting this on Yelp and Google. Instead of apologizing, she said, "I have your license plate number." What? Is she threatening me too? Is this story over? I certainly hope so. Again, I wouldn't be writing this if she hadn't been sarcastic, obviously trying to make me feel stupid for my concern about the stitches. But my experience was that A's Cleaners was completely unprofessional and offered terrible service. Look at the pics and judge for yourself. long overdue update: I recently brought in a few items, one being a black dress. The cashier let me know it would be ready by Wednesday, which was perfect, as I was attending my uncle's funeral on Thursday and needed to wear said black dress. I called Wednesday morning and it wasn't ready, but they let me know it would likely be ready by 4PM. By 7PM, it still wasn't ready and I was in a mild panic. I had a good experience the first time I dropped off clothes to be cleaned so I went there a second time. When we went to pick up my items the second time they were not ready at the pick up time. They apologized and asked us to come in the next day. We came in the next day and the items were not ready. They told us they would call us when they were ready and drop off the items. They did not call at the time they said they would and when I tried to call their phone went straight to a full voicemail. I ended up texting a 1-800 number they had texted me from to get ahold of them and they responded that there was another delay and it would be another hour or so. When they dropped off our drapes I hung them and noticed they had shrunk about 4 inches and the lining was sticking out. I texted the number to let them know and never received a response. I would have liked them to be more proactive in their communication. I also need to replace a $200+ dollar drape panel because their plant messed up the linen cleaning. read more

Omg this cleaners is GREAT!! It's a family own business I've been coming here for years. And now their even better and all my clothes looks like they just came out of Vogue Magazine. My clothes are allways so Fresh and clean and there's never any shinny over press clothes or any lost Merchandise. Also they are so nice that if you are not Satisfied they will go to the end of the world just to make it right with no problems. And they even had a Discount Program dealing with points. This was my first time using Ace Cleaners and I was impressed with their friendly attitudes, prices and clean store front. We had a leaky a/c unit in the attic which dripped water onto the ceiling and into the hallway walls. By the time we found the problem, mold had grown in our coat closet, making everything in there smell terrible. We stored the closet items in our back patio, then the Bobcat fire raged, sending ash and smoke all over those items. Yuck! We thought we'd need to throw it all away, but took all 23 items to Ace Cleaners. Guess what! Every piece came out beautifully and there wasn't any lingering moldy or smokey odors!! Happy camper. This review is for the alternation only not the dry cleaning. So I have moved away from my usual tailor and found this place on Yelp with perfect reviews and they left a great impression on the phone. However, the alternation job was really sloppy. I took in two pairs of pants that were too big at the waist. I was in no rush so I picked them up a week later. I was so disappointed when I got home and took the pants out to try them on. The waist is about the right size now, but there are ugly visible threads and the two sides of the pants where the extra fabrics were cute off and sewed together are not symmetric or smooth as they were. On one pair there is a hole left open and the belt loop is sewed to the side instead of the middle. There are loose threads on both pair, one on the outside and one on the inside. I'm scared if I wash them they will fall apart. Let alone there was a staple (?!) on one of the pair. Luckily I notices it before it could cut my skin. Those pants are not cheap but the crooked details make them look pretty cheap now. The pictures do not even show how bad the details look. I give two stars for the friendly staff. I thought about having them fix the pants for me but I'm not sure they will come back better so I just took them to my old place to see if the pants can still be saved. They were surprised by how badly the job was done. Now I'm paying double the cost. Anyway, will not go to this place for alternation again. read more

I've been waiting to post to see if they would have some redeeming professionalism but sad to say they didn't. After a poor alteration to my wedding dress (which included the seamstress physically tearing a hole in the dress to "take out a seam") I had to pay $600 to get my wedding dress by midnight the day before my wedding. Start: I had taken a ball gown dress to be modified into an A-line dress, it needed hemming, a bustle and taken in on the torso. The seamstress said she could not do the skirt of the dress the way I wanted but said she would take out some of the fabric. I agreed. Ace had quoted $347 for alterations and pressing. 1st Fitting: dress was hemmed but tulle of the skirt was cut very jagged. No part of the skirt was taken in. When I asked her about it she said she did. She then tried to convince me that this is what wedding dresses are supposed to look like. I didn't want to be rude but insisted that I was not happy and if she didn't feel comfortable I would be happy to pay for the work she did and take it to someone else to finish. She insisted she could do the job. She had started the bustle but recommend that I CUT OFF THE TRAIN since it wouldn't look good bustling tulle (she didn't actually know what the fabric was called). My heart sunk as I believed her, but thankfully I asked her not to cut off the train to my wedding dress. 2nd fitting: there was no second fitting. She dropped it off at the cleaners where I saw the dress looked terrible. It looked wrinkles even though they said it was pressed. Al instead that as long as the dress was in a bag it would look wrinkled. (I found out later it was because of bunched up seams the seamstress had placed). The dress had no bustle of the outer layer, still an uneven jagged hem, and a bunched up area of fabric at the waist. I explained to the owner Al how unhappy I was with the very unprofessional work and he eventually offered to wave the pressing fee of $47. It was frustrating as each time I expressed what went wrong with the dress he would say "well it's up to you" I frankly said it was not "up to me" as I had no control over what had already been done. I didn't know what to do, but not wanting to make a big scene, and since the semesters was not there, I agreed to pay the price $300 and take the dress home to look over. I saw once home how she had bunched up the fabric when sewing the outer tulle and how the skirt, which she was to streamline, had been unevenly cut and sewn, creating a pocket like affect At the waist. I had decided to take it back to the seamstress to show her the mistakes and she insisted it was "fine and no one will notice". When shown the bunching at the waste she began to pull the fabric trying to break the stitch. My mother and I pleaded for her to stop, we said she should use a seam ripper to which she asked what that was. Despite our pleading she pulled until she snagged the fabric and tore a hole. I was done. By a miracle I ended up finding another tailor who quoted the repairs including taking in the shoulders where it was too big. She quoted $185. I showed Al the owner, the invoice and he eventually (days later) said they would refund what it cost to repair what their seamstress had done, but not anything extra. (Side note as a seamstress should they not fit the dress to the person?). He stated that he wouldn't do so until he actually saw a receipt and not just the quote. The new seamstress was wonderful but had to take an extra day working on the skirt as she realized after taking it apart that it was not salvageable and all the material needed to be replaced. She also delivered it 15 miles to my house the night before the wedding. I ended up paying the second seamstress $300 in all for the added work. When I gave the final bill to Al the owner of Ace he stated he would not pay whatever price I gave him weeks later (even though I told him I would get him the receipt after the honeymoon). He then recalled the original quote was $185 where $40 of it was for the lace that I had not asked his seamstress to do. (Again, a real seamstress would have noticed that the dress didn't fit). Today I received a check in the mail for $130. Not only did he not refund the full amount needed to repair the dress, he didn't even refund the original amount he thought would be needed to repair. Money aside the attitudes and stress I had to deal with I would not wish upon anyone. And oh yea, that photo of the woman in a wedding dress is me-- which he took and posted without my knowing-- which I will be requesting he take down as it's very misleading-- this is NOT a place to take your wedding dress. read more

Do not let Yelp lead you astray, as did with me. This is not a 5 star business. Work and customer service was far below par. I read reviews before I took an evening gown to get altered at Ace Cleaners. I dropped my evening gown off two weeks prior to a big event. I had to get the dress taken out, then taken back in ($75 sew job, because they had to do "two" things to the dress, + dry cleaning). As i'm in my Uber, on the way to the event, I noticed the breast area was realllly lopsided. But I couldn't really inspect the area since I was in the car with a stranger, and digging in my boobs would be really weird. Once I arrived, I had to immediately locate a pocket knife to cut into the inside lining of my dress to see what was going on. After cutting open the inside liners to investigate, my suspicion was confirmed : TWO LINERS WERE IN ONE SIDE AND NONE IN THE OTHER -- AND SEWN IN. (All women will understand: this created quite the lopsided appearance). I was able to ghetto fix the problem, but it definitely made me self conscious the whole night. So I take the dress back to the cleaners and they offer to have the seamstress sew up the holes. I ask if they can throw in a cleaning for my hassle, and they said, "no." - Bad customer service. **Second Attempt** So a few days later, I go back to pick up the dress, and the liners are now in the right pocket, but not symmetrical!! One was sewn in correctly, and the other sewn in several inches lower. HELLO. How can a *female* seamstress not sew the liners in evenly? Ace offers AGAIN to fix their obvious mistake, but this time, they will throw in a free cleaning. I hesitantly accept. At this point I fear the seamstress would purposefully damage the dress out of spite and having to fix it so many times. **Third Attempt** I was scheduled to pick it up on a Tuesday. I pick it up on the following Wednesday, instead. I meet the guy in the parking lot and he says to come back an hour later, it's not back yet! After I give them a whole extra day. (they clean off site). **Fourth Attempt** I pick up my dress, inspect the less than decent sew job, and leave. Picture attached of the awful sew job done by Ace's PROFESSIONAL SEAMSTRESS. Washing my wedding dress was $250 (I choose not to preserve and box it). It's nice that you can walk in from the back door rather than walking around the building to the front. I'm honestly dissapointed in this place. The first time I came here I brought 2 pairs of pants to get tapered and a sample and they did an amazing job. They were Dickies and had the white inseam which they kept and I very much appreciated. Was very satisfied with the work so I decided to come again later on to drop off another pair of Dickies with a sample. The used a black inseam and pretty much butchered the taper. I flipped the pants and you could tell how much of a mess they did. I went back to ask if they could make the inseam white like how it originally is on Dickies and how they did it on my previous pants. They did but left very little room from what they cut off the pants leaving an area where you can see the stitching sticking out while wearing the pants. Unfortunately I won't be returning to this place due to their inconsistency. Appreciate the service but don't wanna risk getting a pair of pants butchered again. Update: Alan the owner was kind enough and contact me to offer a service to make up for the bad experience I had. Went to them and they were able to fix up another pair of pants and they came out great. I appreciate the service and you guys for making up for something you didn't have to. There's no zero star option. Avoid this dry cleaner! They do not document all the pieces that your items contain. They lost a piece of coat and they did nothing to right their wrong. Instead this guy "ALAN" tried to gaslight me that when I dropped off my item, that piece was never there to begin with. I just bought my item about 2 weeks before I dropped it off. Never ever wore it! I even asked him to look at the camera if they have them installed in the store. They kept telling me that they are looking for it and it would show up eventually. One month later, I did not want to wait for them anymore, so I offered them the solutions, either they bought this item from me at the exact same price I paid for, or purchased the same item and just gave me the garment that they lost. This Alan guy had the nerves to claim that "they cannot be responsible for something that they have not done. They have done their due diligence and have gone far and beyond to figure out this situation," and he made it sound like I should be grateful that he gave me his phone number to contact him regarding the issue that he caused. So, basically he was playing me all along with no intention of resolving the issue that they caused. As soon as he said that to me, it made me question his authenticity and honesty, and I felt like he was gaslighting me. I'm stuck with a $450 piece of clothing with missing garment because of their lack of common sense to check every single garment. GO TO "MAGIC DRY CLEANERS!" they carefully handle every little piece of garment that comes with your clothes. However, if you still want to support this scam of a business, I suggest you take photos of your clothes before you drop it off here. Otherwise, they will gaslight you that little piece of garment they lost never really existed in the first place. read more
