Cute bar area at Sabrina, where they mix up some delicious cocktails

One of our best meals in San Juan. We popped in on a Tuesday evening and had no trouble getting a table for two even though it's a pretty small restaurant. I don't believe they accept reservations, so that worked in our favor. The inside is cute and the vibe was cool. For drinks, I started with the Sofia Loren cocktail and really enjoyed it. For food, we split the taquitos de carnitas appetizer, which was yummy but a little hard to eat. I wish they had given us plates so we didn't make such a mess! Oh well. On to the entree - I was between a few dishes but our waitress recommended the Wahoo... I was not disappointed. The combination of flavors and textures was on point! And to finish it all off, we tried their guava "mousse" (as it was described), which ended up being more like a cheesecake. Delicious! I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice-ish dinner or cocktail spot near Loiza.

Best meal in San Juan! We came to celebrate a friend's bachelorette in San Juan, and Sabrina definitely gave us a nice experience! I had made reservations for a group of 12, and the staff was very accommodating. The decor in the restaurant went along perfectly with our "white dinner" attire. My friend and I split their ribeye steak with truffle fries. It was juicy, perfectly cooked, and went great alongside the savory truffle fries. For a cocktail, I ordered one with gin and lavender, and it was very refreshing. Service here was great, and to our surprise we were even treated to live piano music and an appearance by a Netflix celebrity. Would absolutely return!

We popped into Sabrina by mistake and it ended up being one of the best dining experiences we had in Puerto Rico. The food was great, the Mahi Mahi Chicharrones, they were perfectly crispy, the sauce was great and the meat was tender. We also had the vegetarian lasagna and it was not traditional lasagna but it was really good! The Sabrina's Delirio and the chicken was perfectly crispy and the best part was the sauce. It was the perfect complement to the mashed potatoes and chicken. The Jungle Bird & Sofia Loren were so good. The Jungle Bird was very fruity and tropical and the Sofia Loren was similar to a spiked limeade. It was delicious! We will definitely be back!

I went to Sabrina to celebrate my birthday and the whole party had a pleasant experience. Our waiter, Felix answer all the questions we had concerning either the drinks or meal menu. He was very kind and provided an excellent service. About the food, simply amazing I loved my ribeye(Medium) the salmons came out great the crust was very crispy, yum. We ordered and extra side and it did not disappoint. The risotto was just delicious I would go just order that again, it was that good. All and all a great family experience in very quiet and calm environment.

Visiting from Miami, we called several upscale restaurants and Diana @ Sabrina was the most friendly and professional Hostess. Late dinner and what a friendly and proper welcome. Easy parking at public lot next door. My Negroni was well prepared and plenty. Appetizers; delicious and adventurous flavors... Swordfish Pinchos cooked perfectly and great sauce, pork dumplings very tasty, and a full Branzino fish with Tostones was simply spectacular. We finished with Passion fruit and Guava mousses. Carla simply a great Server; always checking on us... Service and Flavors head-and-shoulders above most restaurants in SJU... The live Piano of the owner was an unforgettable touch... Looking for to be back during our two weeks stay...

I highly recommend Sabrina as a place to have a nice dinner as it was one of the best plates of food I had in Puerto Rico. I dined on a Wednesday evening about 9pm without a reservation. I walked in an was seated right away. I ordered the Hanger Steak or Steak Fites as I believe it is sometimes called. It was perfectly grilled medium rare with a hint of charcoal taste. I also had the Passion Fruit juice to wash it all down an it was Soo good! My total with tip an tax was an even $30 which I think is a reasonable price for dinner. The atmosphere was hip an inviting with music that had a good feel to it an wasn't played too loud. My only grip would be the AC was a little to high for me so I was cold an ate faster than usual to get back outside! Valet is easy to fine an $5. Would definitely return next time in Puerto Rico!

Wish I would've discover this place earlier! The owner and bartender were super friendly and offered amazing traveling tips around town+ PR in general, food and vibe was AMAZING. They play different type of music every night, kitchen opens till 12am! Like what ?! It's a must visit!! (There's a coffee shop next door too)

We arrived early to this quaint little restaurant, and were welcomed by a lovely waitress. The menu was full of variety of appetizers, dishes and drinks. As our dinner, progressed the restaurant filled up and was vibrant, especially when someone sat down to the piano and played tunes. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent and the waitstaff staff superb and the atmosphere was cool.

My family LOVED this food! Wonderful place recommended to us by a local. We had the Wahoo (fish), hanger steak, pork chop and the branzino. My kids thought this was one of their best meals ever and wanted to back again. I would order the steak rare if you want medium rare. Wine was also great. Highly recommend!!

Such a cute place for brunch! Service was great and food was excellent. I had the croque madam which is laid on top of a cheesy sauce that gives the sandwich an extra flavor. Absolutely loved it!

Cocktail with carnitas tacos. Both tasty

I had a London Maid cocktail. Gin with mint, cucumber and lime. It wasn't double strained so pieces of mint in the drink, which I didn't like , but still tasty. I had the taquitos de carnitas. 3 small tacos with pulled pork. Tasty as the were in a fried shell with guac and fresh cheese. Overall not bad with friendly staff.

Kept seeing a bunch of reviews on how amazing this place was and honestly it's up there…read more To start off, I'm not really a sweets guy so my take is going to be a little off from the general public. We were able to snag a reservation but for a late time which was about an hour and a half before close. The service was super great but one thing I wished they mentioned that the bottled water was going to be a $40 charge lol. Makes sense for any upscale restaurant though. Should've mentioned we wanted tap so fair warning, ask cause you WILL get charged haha. We had a group of 10 and for how big the group was, the food came out pretty fast. I don't think we ever had a time between drinks to entrees where we were waiting for food to come out. We got the watermelons mojito for drinks since it was the most raved about. It was good but personally nothing crazy for me. 8/10 score on that. We also curry popcorn chicken, the ahi tuna lollipops, the empanadillas and the goat cheese quesadillas for apps and honestly overall 9/10. This is where I don't like the sweetness part of this meal. The empanadillas were what I was most excited for but it was more sweet then savory which sort of lose my appetite a little. I think if you like that kind of taste then it's going to be good. It wasn't a bad taste at all. Just too sweet for my liking. The curry popcorn chicken was good and the lollipops were great. Again, nothing crazy. The goat cheese quesadillas was good as well but again, too sweet for my liking. Now on to the entree, they didn't have the porkchop since we came late so I ended up getting the porkchop belly dish. When it came out, it looked amazing but then I got a whiff of it and smelled cinnamon. That's when I was sort of disappointed. It was like eating pork but tasting Cinnamon Toast Crunch and as said before, it tasted great but too sweet for me. This one was way too sweet to where it seemed like a dessert item. I just had poor luck and got one of the one items that were sweet. This doesn't tank the rating down whatsoever because I also should've read it had cinnamon. It would've been great if they made a dipping sauce or something to pair it with and not have it on the pork belly itself. I got to try other dishes my friends got which were good as well but I wish I got to try something else. If I came back I would try the sold out item which was the pork shank or the sea bass. I know for a fact the sea bass was amazing. Had a bite of it and thought "I'll come back for that" Overall, 10/10 experience and nothing bad about the place but gotta try different items when I go next time. I understand the hype now

Not only that, she made it weeks in advance because reservations are hard to come by. We arrived for dinner before reservation time and we attempted to open the front door. It was locked, so we along with two other couples, walked to see if there was a side entrance.. Nope! We kept walking to the rear and stopped a random parking lot attendant that shirt had a different restaurant's name on it. He asked us if we had reservations for Santaella and we said yes, and he directed us to a rear entrance. Once inside, my friend realized this was NOT Santaellas but a rooftop restaurant with an entirely different name. Visibly perturbed, she asked our server QUESTIONS! He said, it's the same restaurant, however, only the rooftop is open on Sundays and it's named Azotea.. WHAT?!? LOL! Because we took an Uber, we decided to stay a while. The menu was extremely limited, but we decided to try the Tamarind margaritas, which were really good, along with two appetizers, the tuna lollipops and the pulled pork quesadilla. Both VERY good, but the dinner menu was lacking. That said, I suggested we go to STK for the seafood tower that I had my eye on the evening before, so we exited stage right! Shame on Santaella for accepting reservations through Open Table knowing full well they are not open. I'm giving them two stars because Azotea was decent but it definitely wasn't what she was going for!

Everything we ordered was very good, and on an extremely hot day, I was especially appreciative of how well the A/C was keeping up. I was actually a little cold--and I'm never cold. It felt so nice after getting overheated right before we got there. One thing I noticed while wandering around Old San Juan is that some restaurants likely survive on location and foot traffic alone, while others earn people seeking them out. Semilla definitely felt like the latter. It's tucked just around the corner from some of the busiest pedestrian areas, so it felt like we escaped the crowds for a little while without actually going very far. Overall, I'd happily come back. If you're staying nearby and looking for a good meal without being surrounded by the busiest tourist crowds, Semilla is well worth checking out.
