What a beautiful spot for a late afternoon/early evening dinner with friends/family!!! The drive to was beautiful! Parking was a bit of an issue but let's move on to the actual place. Greeted immediately (we were a party of 4 with reservations). Then led to our table. It was a hot day so the flies were in full force which was a nuisance and thankfully we were able to move tables to a more open area. That was a plus because we had a better view of the Puertorican mountains this way. Our server was amazing! Very informative as well! My parents had already been here for a wine fest so they helped me with choosing drinks. We weren't starving per se so we opted for an appetizer that included more than enough option for us all. I did order the salmon which was a little bland but still good. Overall I would say great place for drinks and live music and appetizers. Come with your date or with friends! Great views!! So I'll start with the Pros: The staff was very friendly. The place is well decorated. The view is nice. Now to the Cons: Ribeye = Tough, seasoned okay, fatty, lukewarm. Empanadas = Actually fried chicken strips. One of my kids rate them a 3 and the other rates it a negative 32. Lol Salmon with Mashed Malanga = Salmon was a 6 out of 10, the Malanga was tasty. Camarones and Chorizo = Small, over cooked and lukewarm, the Chorizo was pretty good but again, lukewarm. Not worth the 55 minute drive. read more

Friendly staff welcomed us even without reservations. Place was packed at around 2:00 when we got there so we had to wait a few minutes. Understandable. We ordered apps and entrees and a sangria. Croquetas de bacalao were good. Rest of the food was just okay. Portions were generous. However, had it not been for the fun atmosphere, great music from a live band, and views from that vantage point I would have rated it lower. I wanted to check this place out and I had the chance to on my friend birthday. First of all they are breaking the law, they were supposed to be working at 25% capacity and they were over 90% there were no social distancing and people including staff were walking around without mask. The food, I don't eat meat and vegetarian options were limited so I went with Mac and cheese which was definitely Kraft brand Max and cheese, and fries, both arrived cold and it was the last plate to arrive in the table while others ordered more complicated meaty plates. The waitresses were only checking on us when they were cleaning one of the tables nearby plus they took long on bringing food and drinks. My friends stated the meat was delicious but did not arrived as ordered, for example one ordered medium rare steak and it arrived overcooked although she state it was delicious she stated it was not how she ordered it. Drinks were tasty but arrived late. The view is not even worth it, better aesthetically and tasty places in the area. read more

At fist we had to wait too long for cocktails, ordered a pineapple martini that tasted like water. Then i kindly told the waiter and she changed my drink to a margarita, it tasted like lemonade. Appetizers were the only good thing. For my main dish i ask for chicken. It was chicken breast stuffed with sweet plantains wrapped in prosciutto on a sweet potato bed... sounded good but WRONG! Side dish was additional* it was cold* the chicken did not surprise me. My wife ordered a filet mignon for her main; she had to return the dish cause it was not at the term she asked. (Well done* cause she is pregnant) they served it bloody. Her risotto tasted like nothing... when the filet arrived again, well done this time... was sour. I visited on a Sunday around 1pm with my famly, we were a party of 3, as soon as we got up the hill to the parking lot a attendant stopped us and asked us if we had a reservation, I told him I did not since the people that recommended me the restaurant never mentioned I needed one, so he said for us to wait in the car while he checked if they could accommodate us. After a couple of minutes he came back saying that they could receive us but that it had to be a table without a view, inside the restaurant. So if you are interested in a view, which I think is worth it, you should make a reservation and ask for it. The place is beautiful, with great views, because of the name I though it was kind of a informal countryside BBQ kind of restaurant, but instead is a upscale place with a sophisticated countryside look. This is a place visited by affluent people, you can see the Maserati and Range Rovers parked outside. We ordered a sampler of 5 different preparations, it included churrasco, chicken, ribs, shrimps and longaniza, for $40, it was enough for us 3. Most of the plates range from the $19 to $30. The food was very good, the churrasco was tender, the chicken had a sweet sauce, which I liked and the shrimp were delicious. To drink we had delicious mojitos, we had a acerola and one with grapes and coconut, both were outstanding. The dessert, a cheesecake tempura, was delicious and a great way to finish lunch. I can at least usually order rice and beans somewhere and maybe mofongo and be fine. They did me the "favor" of removing the bacon from my salad and I ordered a side of plain white rice. Meh. This restaurant is located about 2 hours from San Juan. It's very popular by local people. It's on top of a mountain and the vie was are great. You can't be in a hurry here. You have to wait around 3 hours to get your main course. They have no notion or gave no importance to your dietary restrictions. Have no clue about what gluten free is. The server assure me that the dish I was ordering has no gluten But when it arrived, I saw couscous on my plate. I ate the fish but became ill anyway suspecting (after the fact my fish was not GF either. After 3 hours I was starving... I had heard of this place and really wanted to go, so yesterday for my birthday decided to go there with my wife and kid...we got there the parking was full but there was this very helpful guy (kind of free valet parking) and I left my car with the keys so we could go ahead with our experience. We had to wait around one hour to be seated (just 2 person and a baby in a high chair not a group), we understood as it was packed and it was our choice to stay and wait so we might have wrongly did. The server didn't have any experience at all, didn't know what to do or how to take orders, when I ordered drinks, apps and a plate for the kid he didn't right it down (I own a restaurant and thats foul because in the rush you are ALWAYS going to miss something, as he did). We wait half an hour just for the drinks and the finally arrives because I had to stand up go to the bar ask for it and pay cash (the server didn't even noticed until I told him when he arrive at our table an hour later). One hour later we got our fritter plate (something that takes less than 3 minutes in the fryer) I ask for the kids plate as we was getting angrily hungry so he tells me that he is going to check...half an hour later he passes by, not checking our table to see if wee need drinks or anything so I had to call him to ask for the kid plate, he tells me that the kitchen made a mistake (that took an hour an a half to remake) and that it was coming soon, so I tell him that we would like to order since service is being so incredibly slow. An hour and a half later (3 hours seated and 1 hour waiting to be seated) the food arrives, we ordered Filet Mignon which is supposed to be their specialty while the quality of the meat was good not excellent the steak was overcooked, I asked medium and they went medium well as if it wasn't enough already the side plates didn't arrive until we where almost finishing our overcooked steaks. To finish my not nice at all birthday celebration I had to stand up to get the check as the mediocre waiter never came back. People normally go to this kind of places to drink and have a good time so they don't notice the food but that doesn't mean that you don't rely or don't have to be precise with the products you are cooking and treat it like it's supposed to even more if you are going to charge as if you where in the capital of Puerto Rico paying a high rent. Conclusion: SUPER SUPER bad service, ok food, great view, expensive since they have same prices as if you where eating at a restaurant in Condado or Miramar (high end San Juan) read more
