This guy knows what he's doing and doesn't play around. I brought a $600 pair of Oakley's in. He wasn't able to save the glasses that the manufacturer wouldn't stand by the warranty, but he was able to get my lenses into a new pair of frames and 15 minutes for $40 highly recommend this guy he's no joke read more

I inadvertently dropped my glasses at work today and the left lense popped out. So a quick Google search of repair shops near me and voilà Asap Eyeglass Repair. I was in the shop no more than 5 minutes, and Bill put the lense back in the frame lickety-split. Then the fun part, he did not want to charge me for the service. Well as far as I'm concerned, I'm paying the man for his knowledge and expertise, not by the hour. I left a generous tip in Bill's tip jar. Need your frames fixed? After accidently breaking one of the sides of my eye glasses off when I sat on them, I was suggested this place by my optometrist's office after they told me they couldn't repair my glasses for me and that they were out of warranty. Chile, I was not trying to shell out a bunch of money for a new pair of RayBan's, so I was desperate and decided to come about 30 minutes before closing. I was in and out within 10 minutes and only spent $35, with glasses were good as new! I will definitely be stopping by here the next time I need my glasses fixed! read more

Incredibly quick. The shop was clean and well organized. Got a kick out of their table top vending machine (unfortunately I didn't have my phone for a picture). I went in to see if my aviators could be salvaged; they were in pretty bad shape. The gentleman fixed in less than 10 minutes and price was so much less than I was expecting to pay too. Purchased $450 pair of sunglasses for my wife in April for her 60th birthday. The hinge broke And Sunglass Hut said they could not fix them they recommended asap eyeglass repair.They fixed the hinge I came back and picked them up only looking at the hinge that was drilled out and replaced.When I surprised my wife with the repaired glasses she put them on only to find two huge scratches on both lenses .Ran back to repairman he denied any scratches on my 7 month old glasses.Refused to replace or fix the glasses now I am out $450 plus $40 repair.Not my day I guess.Glasses put in a vice to hold while hinge was installed read more

I drove all the way from Suffolk, VA (5/22/23) due to these reviews. I needed two different repairs (one tricky & the other simple). Bill was/is amazing. Super up-front with what he could do for the repairs as well as pricing. Both repairs were taken care of beautifully! On a Saturday night my glasses broke, I was due to go out of town for work the following week. I was freaking out on what to do. Phenomenal! I am a local who just returned to Virginia Beach after six years. On a cross-country road trip I had two pair of glasses that were broken. One I stepped on, causing the frame to bend and the screw to strip. The other pair required a new spring. Went on YELP, searched eyeglass repair, and liked the reviews for ASAP. Went in and the young man looked at both, telling me the price very quickly and exactly how long each would take. The bent and screw pair he quickly fixed in like 5 minutes so I could drive. He advised other pair would be about an hour. He was precise on both cost and time plus he did an fantastic job on both. Total was $58 which is awesome considering they each cost $1000 because they are progressive lenses. Every hotel on the oceanfront should have his number for their guests in case of an eyeglass emergency! read more

My rx glasses right arm broke in 1/2. 3 weeks later my rx biker glasses had the glass on left eye fall out. I called and he told me to bring them in. So next day I brought both in. He inspected them and gave me estimates. He soldered the arm on one; the biker glasses he pointed out that the glass fell out since the frame holding it in had broken apart! He was able to repair both so they looked new again. He was pleasant to deal with and his prices were very fair!!! read more

I called a few places to see if anyone could fix or even look at my daughters glasses but they all referred me to ASAP eyeglass repair. He explained what he could do to fix the broken hinge and the price. We were done and paid within 10-15 minutes. Offers 60 day warranty too. Glad my daughters favorite glasses frames could be fixed. I sat on my glasses and broke one of the arms off. I went to my eye doctor's office where I originally purchased the glasses thinking they would have an easy way to repair them. They said I'd have to order new frames for $250...nothing else they could do. I Googled Eye Glass Repair store and happily found this place. I walked in and 15 minutes later for $30 my glasses were repaired. The owner was a young man who was happy for the business and worked quickly. Highly recommend this place. Beware, They do poor workmanship on eyeglass frame repair. I had my eyeglass frames repaired and they broke in the same place just a few weeks later. These are just my spare reading glasses and I hardly used them. After only 5 times using the glasses the solder broke where the repair was. I brought them back and I had to pay $45.00 again. It was their workmanship that failed so why should I have to pay again. Also, the frames were missing a screw and the screw they put in was the wrong size. The screw kept coming out. On top of that, they charged me another $5.00 just to put the glass back in the frames they just repaired. What a rip-off. These people are crooks and very unprofessional and will take advantage of you. I would not recommend this company to anyone for eyeglass frame repair. They don't warranty their sloppy work. read more

It was easy to park where we were and walk across the street to LensCrafters. The store is beautiful with an aesthetic exterior, as is required for all the businesses at Town Center. I've passed it a plethora of times on my way to the back entrance of my bank. It blends in with the area decor so nicely that I never noticed it was there. That isn't a bad thing because I no longer require eyeglasses. If I still did I probably would have noticed the store. The interior was clean, spacious and laid out nicely. Frame displays were well spaced with plenty of room to browse. We were greeted by a friendly employee who provided my friend with a box with spaces in which to put frames that interested her. After filling the box we proceeded to the fitting table. Lilly was very helpful in adding input to the opinion of my friend and myself. One frame was the perfect shape for her face but was in a color that wasn't. Lilly indicated that she had the frame in a different color, which turned out to be just right. She went through the different options for the lens that would fit the prescribed requirements, offering economical options to provide the solutions needed. Even though my friend's insurance provided a discount, Lilly found a LensCrafter's discount that was less costly than using insurance. This was a great experience with wonderful choices and customer service. If I still had to wear glasses, I would most certainly choose LensCrafters for my purchase.

Talk about a group effort! After checking my insurance benefits, Lilly indicated a LensCrafters discount would be a much better deal for me. After going through the lens specifications on my prescription and giving me options that would be more economical for me, we were ready to order my glasses. My parents both wear glasses and we had previously been going to the optometrists and retail LensCrafters in MacArthur Center once a year every year for as long as I can remember and always have had a great experience. That store has now relocated and the closest to me is Lynnhaven Mall. I had previously walked into the retail side and a lovely woman named AJ helped me adjust my glasses that my toddler broke until I could replace them. I was looking forward to coming back to her to help me pick a style after my exam. I scheduled my appointment yesterday morning for that afternoon at 4pm. I arranged for my husband to get out of work early and watch our son to accommodate this appointment. I showed up at 3:55pm. At the front desk were 2 women one 20s/30s and one was older. The younger one greeted me and then proceeded to say and I quote "...yeahhhh we didn't have a phone number on file for you and your email didn't work so your appointment was canceled." The form did not require me to input a phone number or insurance. It even said on the confirmation email (of which I received THREE confirmations to the same email that "didn't work" for them) that I could fill out forms and provide insurance in person at the time of my appointment. They continued to tell me they could reschedule me for another day. I'm a very patient and understanding person, I don't enjoy confrontation. There was no apology for wasting my time. No effort to accommodate me. The lady beside her was her supervisor as I learned when asking to speak to someone else. She also met me with attitude, rolling her eyes and refusing to look at me, typing on her computer while I was desperately trying to seek resolution. Unprofessional, disrespectful and just downright rude. I wasn't yelling or cursing I was just upset at the situation and honestly, even a simple apology for the mistake would have gone so far. But not once did they even say sorry, in fact, blamed me saying I must've spelled my email wrong or there was a problem on my end. I received various spam emails and work emails to my same email after booking. Aside from this, I don't even understand why the appointment had to be canceled. I could've provided this info on the spot. My appointment was confirmed as BOOKED multiple times via email. I suggested perhaps there was an issue with their email host. Again met with blank stares. Disappointed is an understatement. Neither one of those women should be in a customer facing position. I'm disheartened to take my business elsewhere for my eye exams however AJ and the other gentleman working the retail side are absolute customer service rockstars and tried to help me afterwards.

I was given the wrong prescription for my eye glasses. The doctor dismissed my concerns about…read moreblurry vision and headaches. Additionally, I was charged $70-90 for a contact fitting when I did not receive a single pair of contacts. They would not reimburse this money when I called. I ended up going to the eye doctor at Costco, (which was amazing). Save time and money and avoid this shameful business.
