I will copy the review I wrote about ABC, which lead me to hiring Hero Air in the first place to give you the full picture: Update: ABC did show up at 8pm the following night and proceeded to quote me $1,363 to replace some components and $475 to deep clean the condenser coil. I was paying for their VIP service and that is the quote I got. I said no way since I trust them zero. Got Hero Air, who get amazing reviews on Yelp to come out and were there within 2 hours. Turns out I needed a new thermostat, which all in for diagnosing, running out to get the thermostat, and installing for $407. He also recommended a deep cleaning and charged me $150, so for $557 instead of $1,833 which wouldn't have even fixed the problem I am up and running 4 hours after requesting an appointment. So when I said above they hope idiots will let them get away with charging triple, I was not exaggerating. ABC deserves to go out of business. It seems like with their AI reservation system and "fluid" scheduling they probably go bought out by private equity and it seems like they are running themselves into the ground. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING!

I can look at the part online and they are wanting to charge double, plus $500 for roughly the same labor that they just spent doing for a $65 service fee. This review is loooong overdue but I just came across my notes on this fiasco so better late than…read morenever. In May of 2022 I contacted Elite hvac because my AC was not working. The first day (Wed) Frank showed up but he was not able to fix it so he said he could come back the next day. He came back the next day (Thurs) hours after he said he would be there and he still couldn't fix it. He came back a third day (Fri) but he didn't even tell me when he arrived I just knew bc I saw he had set up his ladder and then after awhile I go check on him and he's gone, didn't tell me when he arrived and didn't tell me he was leaving. I called the company and they reached out to see where he was and he said he had left to another job but that he would come back and finish. Later this same day on Friday I get a text saying someone else was going to come the next morning. I had not been informed of this before the text so I was not able to be home as I had plans. Frank then texts me on Saturday saying he has all the parts he needs now and was heading over to fix it. I have no idea what he did that day as I was not home. Then I get a text Saturday night that Frank was going to come on Monday (again I never agreed to this date). So I wasn't there Monday but I know Frank did show up bc when I got home later that day my fuse box was out and he didn't even tell me! Luckily I don't recall my food or anything going bad even tho it was super hot out. That was Monday when the fuse box went out. Then on FRIDAY I get a text from Frank telling me that my AC should be up and running and that oh by the way my breaker tried. DAYS later he lets me know that my breaker tripped. So at this point it had been over 1 week since he started working on my AC and it was still not working. So then Wednesday (2 weeks after the initial appointment) they finally sent a different person, Raul. He got there on time and started everything from the beginning. He fixed it within minutes and even waited awhile to make sure it actually cooled. He also took my payment for the part that Frank had "fixed". I'm convinced I probably didn't even need the part but at this point they had been out there like 6 times so they probably didn't want to back track. Then five days later my AC stopped working again and this time the owner Juan was able to come out the next day and fix it quick. He said it was a loose wire. So all in all it took 3 weeks with Elite to get my AC working again. Glad Raul and Juan were able to fix it promptly the times they did go out instead of Frank but not a great overall experience on my end.

So, that seemed a little outrageous. Contacted nick and from the onset knew that this would be a different experience. Let the glazing begin! Cannot say enough about nick and the business that he runs. Was a pleasure to work with him diagnosing the issue (he took a look at the photo l, asked me to retrieve the model number on the stove/griddle and saved me that absurd 210 fee) - gave me variable pricing between generic and OEM parts, and was quick to schedule service rather than having a lead time of weeks out like the other companies were requesting. On top of that, he went out of his way to take a look at my dishwasher as a courtesy as it was giving us an error just before he left our home. People like nick remind me that there remain honest and hard-working service people out there.
