**Shady business, illegal review solicitation, lack of transparency about dosage and pricing.** BEWARE: The 5 star reviews for ASAP IVs may be fake/coerced and against the law and Yelp's policy on soliciting reviews in exchange for a free service. All I needed was to recover from a cold but instead I walked into a business that is: 1. Not transparent on their website or price menu about dosages in most of the IV drips and add-ons 2. Breaking federal law & violating Yelp's and Google Map's policies about soliciting positive reviews in exchange for a free service 3. Possibly not giving the correct dosage and/or # of ingredients as listed ---- 1. Lack of transparent pricing and dosages IV vitamins are expensive between $175-$450/bag! So consumers should know what they are getting. But the ASAP IVs website and printed price menu fail to tell you the exact dosages of each vitamin or mineral in each bag. It's like going to a pharmacy and buying a bottle of vitamin capsules and not knowing how many mg or grams of vitamins are in each capsule. This is unethical and not transparent. A few days ago, I contacted ASAP IVs in San Jose by text message and specifically asked about the dosage. I didn't get a response about the dosage but I got a response about when I could book an appointment. I had to write again asking for the dosage amounts and then the business manager, Minh, called me back and told me the dosage amounts which I unfortunately didn't write down. She said I could also make up my mind the next day when I came into the facility in San Jose to do my IV drip. But the service menu that I received also did not have the dosages and the nurse did not know the dosages for the add-ons for any vitamins or minerals. The price that she told me was different from what I had been told by Minh over the phone for a large dose of Vitamin C. The nurse had to text Minh to get clear on the price. Why doesn't the on-site staff know their own prices? Also the menu advertised a Mini IV push for $75 but that actually wasn't even offered. ASAP IVs is operating under some doctor's medical license. That doctor would run the risk of losing their license if they gave an IV infusion in their office without telling the patient how much of each ingredient they were getting. So why is ASAP IVs not following traditional medical practices? 2. Soliciting positive reviews is illegal The price menu offers a freebie for people who share any review on Yelp or Google. That is against Yelp's review solicitation policy (https://www.biz.yelp.com/support-center/article/What-is-Yelp-s-review-solicitation-penalty). I received an email from ASAP IV soliciting a 5-star review on Yelp or Google in exchange for a free vitamin IV add-on to my next IV bag. Soliciting positive reviews in exchange for discounts or free services is illegal according to the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2024/08/federal-trade-commission-announces-final-rule-banning-fake-reviews-testimonials#:~:text=It%20prohibits%20businesses%20from%20creating,testimonials%20were%20fake%20or%20false.) and is also against the review policies for both Google Maps and Yelp. 3. I don't know if I got what I had paid for because high doses of Vitamin C make the urine bright yellow or neon. B vitamins can also turn the urine yellow, neon or green. That didn't happen to me. --- To make it all worse, the credit card payment system asked if I wanted to add a 10%, 15% or 20% tip to my already expensive IV bag! There's no way I'd add a tip for customer service. Does ASAP IVs think that their clients are walking ATM machines who don't care about business ethics and illegal behavior? Why doesn't the business bother to have a sign outside the building? Is it hiding something? The only good thing is that Ashley, the nurse, only poked me one time to find a good vein for the IV. Went here twice and after the 2nd visit nurse was busy with multiple appointment when I was about to be done, the nurse clamp the IV tube so she can help with other customers and when she comes back the IV line has air bubble already due to being sat there for awhile. Nurse just remove the IV bag with about 10mL of vitamins left in the line that I paid for. My thought is if I am $10 short would you think they will give me the IV drip? No right but they can waste my dosage that I paid for at anytime? Customer service says we will note this next time. Don't waste your money here. read more

I've been trying not to get sick for my Milestone Bday trip to the Bahamas last January but of course nature couldn't help itself. Henced, why I panic searching for last minute solution to help my current situation. At last, I found ASAP IV in SJ, not only they were open late on weekends and was able to schedule both my BF and I for our first time, before our flight the next day. Minh, the Manager was very pleasant and professional and she was able to convince my BF who was initially skeptic about the whole experience. Although, the location wasn't what we expected, the location was quaint and less fancy as I had imagined compared to other places I found online. However, it was clean and the price made up for it compared to other places and it did the job. The nurse was polite & friendly and no frills. My vein was being stubborn than my BF so mine took a little longer but we were practically in and out which was quicker than I expected given I was under the weather and BF was recovering from being sick. I am writing this review from a person who works in medical field. The local nurse is great, Booked my NAD+ 500mg 1000ml iv bag on Saturday 11am. In the middle of my treatment , I received a phone from their manager office name Minh. Saying just a head up, I know you in the middle of your treatment but if you go more than 4 hrs. We will charge you $125 extra per hr. She then compares this iv treatment is like a buffet restaurant..you can't sit for more than 6-8hrs to eat. I was like, is very rude and unprofessional for her to compares a clinical treatment like a buffet restaurant. I understand is business , but when they book my appointment, they never mention there an extra charge for extra hr. She then go on, typical a iv bag can finish around 2.5hrs. And we giving you extra 1.5 hrs with no charge NO ONE CAN FINISH A 1000ml iv bag in 3hrs. I was here at 11am, and my bag will be done around 330pm. And the treatment come with nausea feeling. Stomach ache. I am lucky that I am a young 39yrs old which I can tolerate some of this side effects. Their business model is try to rip people off. Imagine a elderly from 50-60yrs old come here for treatment and their body is weak, and this business have the audacity to rip elder more money.
