Was passing through the city and went in last night about 30 min prior to them closing. I had been here before so I quickly checked in and went up. When it was my turn with the bud tender (about 25 min before closing) I quickly and clearly explained I wanted a vape that did not have non cannabis terpenes aka all the artificial flavoring. Both this bud tender and an associate stocking the shelves assisted me with finding one. While they weren't overly familiar with the stock they carried they took the time to look and find me the best option. They brought me 3 to choose from. [The review turns negative here] At this point the bud tender that was helping me told me they closed her register and I needed to go wait for one of the other bud tenders to help me. She gave the 3 vape choices to the other bud tenders. One of those two bud tenders still at a register was open so i went to them. She told me she couldn't help me then called the next person in line. Eventually she said ok and went to charge me for all 3 vapes. I nicely clarified I only wanted one but didn't know what was what as she didn't want to let me see the strain names or anything on the bags. I finally convinced her to let me see the 3 options strain names so I could determine what worked best for me. While this happened her coworker asked her to step aside to help someone else and I again got shoved to the side. Once I was able to see the strain names I made my decision within 30-40 SECONDS and then had to continue waiting because "there wasn't a register open". HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE DO NOT GO HERE. I 100% did not want to give them my money at this point after being so blatantly disrespected and disregarded and shuffled around and shoved out of the way; but after having been in there so long waiting to be helped there were no other dispos open nearby. At any dispensary I have ever been to all across the country it has NEVER taken more than 2-3 minutes MAX to ask for a vape, see the vape and purchase it. Instead I spent dang near 30 minutes in here because of the employees ineptness. Because I couldn't even properly see what I was buying they sold me a half gram vape instead of a full gram. I literally have nothing nice to say about this experience / place and your money is sent spent elsewhere. If you're buying vapes keep in mind 98% of the ones they carry all have artificial flavoring and terpenes that are NOT cannabis. They used to have a good selection at a reasonable price. Not the case anymore. They randomly cancel your orders. The website is now horrendous with no options to do the things you need like for instance upload an ID photo. Customer service is garbage and damn near non-existent. And I'm overall love to satisfied underwhelmed and will not return to them with my business ever again . read more

I was a little surprised at the process of entry at this place but maybe it's because it's new. They will sort you as you enter, for pick-up or walk-in. Assuming it was like other places, I chose walk-in.I was informed by the nice guy with the order tablet, I should order with him and join the other line, as they didn't have anything on display. I couldn't help but to feel rushed, I had questions about things I'd seem on the website, but after a few basic ones I gave up (the sales guy had to keep asking others). I chose some items and joined the pickup line. When I made it inside, of course I started taking photos. I was told "no pictures inside the showroom". My usual experience of taking in the scene was halted. They had no clue they even had a yelp page, they seemed more Interested in their Google review/listing. Oh well. They approved of the outside shots, so at least there's a little something to see. A bubbly cashier motioned me over,, checked my ID and verified my order. There was a $1 pre-roll special, so of course I got one on the order. A cute lil upset I'm sure packed a hefty tax. From the hype and write-ups I'd seen online description, it was much smaller than I'd expected. There was a busy, kitsch vibe about the space with hints of neon giving off hipster millennial feel... Interesting. I paid, was out the two sets of doors and was back on Friend Street. Nothing else to see here folks. From the time I had entered, the line had grown quite a bit since I had entered. Now it really looked like a night club. Well, I got goods and was gone. Very different than my other experiences but still a good day. read more

As a disclaimer I live in California and work in the industry, I was visiting Boston for my fathers birthday: These people decide to close early whenever it is easiest. I just got off of work and was told at 8:45 PM today that I was not allowed in unless I had an online order with a barcode. When you go to make an online order (mind you I am here now 10 minutes before closing) I find they have shutdown all of the time blocks that allow us to pick a time for our order. These people are unprofessional. Do not pick this place if you need a consistent store. *edit1 the security guard that left at exactly 9:01 PM did not like when I asked why he and other employees were off early. I was told to, "watch my mouth before I get hurt" by this security guard. Now mind you this man is below 6 feet tall, filled with vulgar rhetoric with no physical build (fat); So I was not in any bit threatened, more so concerned for the establishment that hires such aggressive people. I also picked up sone shake that ended up being absolutely amazing and perfect for rolling joints! Smelled great. This is the worst dispensary I have ever tried to enter the hours of business clearly state they close at 9PM, I arrived at 8:50 to be told I could not enter the establishment no where on site does it say doors will be closed at 8:50 if hours of operation are 9AM-9PM, Terrance and Cam were the employees I had a terrible experience with they should never be put at door again it displayed just pure laziness telling me they cant let me in 10 minutes prior to close or they would be fined if I'm not out by 9pm I've never had this issue anywhere prior Ide give this place 0 stars off my experience with these two fools. I hate this place. I have been to dispensaries all over the country from California to Massachusetts, and this..... is the worst dispensary I have ever been in. I do not even know where to start. I guess we shall begin with the unnecessarily complicated process of being forced to place an order online (EVEN WHILE IN THE STORE) only for them to have to wait and then be called up after the fact and putz around and put it together. The system is ass backwards and takes way too long. This is ridiculous and clumsy and to be honest I got so frustrated I walked out with out purchasing a thing. I hate this place. The staff... oh the staff, I'm not sure if they were trying or just naturally that useless. AVOID!!! This store is getting worse and worse. The hours on google, Apple and their own website are all wrong. They close early all the time (before 7pm) but on their website they claim they close 9pm. When you call them they also say they close at nine. Today a group of people - about 15 people - was turned away before 8pm. Yesterday they were closed before 7pm. When asked why, their security personnel indicated covid. What a childish excuse. They can't hide behind covid anymore. This is ridiculous! If they were smarter they could at least say "we sold out". Or update the hours. When I asked why the hours couldn't be updated I heard: "I don't care, it's not my problem". Imagine paying 30$ for a cab, getting to the place two hours before closing time just to find out that you wasted your money. You see people in the store but no one cares for you. Perhaps they should hire some security and management that is actually professional. Also selling batteries that are completely useless after 1 week of use is really horrendous. To the store managers: if you're an adult, act like one!!! To everyone who had been turned away or mistreated: there's "Berkshire Roots" in East Boston. Only 5 minutes walking from maverick station. On milk street downtown there's "cannabist", "seed" on centre street, "happy valley" in East Boston and "Pure oasis" on blue hill ave. Worst dispensary I have ever went to! It legit looks great inside but it's an extremely confusing experience and the workers there seemed very unconcerned when I brought it to their attention. I went in and waiting in line for 15 minutes downstairs thinking that's where there was a line, once I get to the front I'm told that's the section for online orders only and he can't complete my transaction there. So have to go upstairs, where I let them know that they have ZERO signage saying that downstairs is only for online orders, THEN I get upstairs and go up to a counter where they tell me I need to put in my order online first at their kiosk AGAIN NO SIGNAGE FOR THAT. So I go to the kiosk and order since I'm already there and just want my pre-rolls and then have to wait again to go to the counter to finally get the pre rolls I had to order in store online. This whole process was so stupid because either way your putting orders online and the people at the counter are just there to distribute it so it doesn't even make sense to separate pre-orders from actual orders since you have to do the process online either way. This dispensary sucks, don't let the shiny inside fool you. There's are many better ones in the area don't go to this one unless you want to waste your time. read more

My first order with Ascend was home delivery. I had high hopes, but alas, was a bit disappointed overall. The delivery driver was on time and great! Sadly, the debit machine would not accept my Venmo card, even with cash in my account. I didn't have another card. C'mon now. Regardless, my friend was nice enough to cover it for me. I'm very happy with the CBN chocolate I got and would definitely purchase it again. The flower, however, was SOOOOO DRYYYYYY. I've honestly never purchased such dry flower before from a dispensary. I'm from Seattle and lived in Denver shortly after, so I know my legal weed...I came into Ascend looking for a 1G cart, and the guy helping out was great - he seemed super legit and trustworthy. He sold me on a $100 1G cart (I pay $60 for the same in Seattle, but assumed the difference in geo meant more pricey weed, so I was okay with it). Come to find, after opening the cart package up, he actually sold me a .5 G cart for $100....not the 1 full gram I was promised. Ordered a pack of pre rolled joints, a couple pre roll singles and a 4 pack of seltzer and a chocalte bar. No seltzer's we're on receipt or given to us, so we decided to skip them. Get back to the car and there's a palm leaf blunt pack with holes in them. Unable to smoke it. Chocalte bar was the wrong flavor. Will never go back to this place. Excuse the spelling and grammar. Also wanted to add that I paid and she handed me the bag, I pointed out it was some of the wrong things, the seltzer's being missing, and she told me I was unable to open the bag in the store.
