Standard run of the mill dispensary. I'd put this above a curaleaf. Prices can be high but that's just a thing with a dispo. Very clean. Sucks getting out of the parking lot. They have a good selection of glass and weed accessories. The flower and edibles are kinda boring. They don't carry any really cool brands or anything super unique. OZONE which may be their house brand, I've noticed is one of the better besides the over hyped cookies brand which is about as unique as you'll find here. Ascend has been my go-to for all things cannabis. Back in 'the day' when they first opened, they offered great rewards programs, always had fresh stock of whatever you were looking for. Their salespeople always knew what to recommend based on your needs. You saw the same staff there and that always made it a better experience. Everyone was vibing and went out of their way to make it a memorable visit, be it your first or your fiftieth. Then. Something happened. New faces, less familiar faces, and no one, but no one, is in a good mood. From the guys who unlock the door for you to the floor people to the people behind the registers...everyone has a complaint about something or another that is going on. And it's totally understandable. If staff isn't being treated right, customers are the first ones to know about it. And stock? Hmmm. You better order online because no matter how early you get in after a sale is advertised, they have nada. And nothing seems fresh anymore. It's like a bunch of frustrated, angry staff (not blaming them -- it's gotta be management because everyone has the same story) waiting on you half-heartedly, and it's really sad. Get your act together Ascend. Treat your people right. Limit the turnover. Get fresh product in -- some of the stuff I get turns to dust in my fingers. And your rewards program? It sucks. Memorable moment for me as it's the first and only dispensary I've been to since NJ legally allowed dispensaries for marijuana. I'm beyond pleased with this experience at Ascend. I've never witnessed a crowd so organized before in my life! Located right before Exxon and Outback on RT 17N, you pull in and greet the first attendant who asks you medical or recreation. Medical get directed to spots right in front of the door and others get guided to another lot. Totally guided thru parking, you walk to door. Get ur license out as thru scan every person at the door. They then inquire medical, shopping or pick-up online order. Directed to yet another line, but super fast movement. Once inside it's just consumers, employees, tablets everywhere. Move on up and ask anything you want and someone within seconds guided you. Order on the tablet. Get in line for your order. Browse the displays set along the lines for other products. Chat with the super friendly elderly man who points to your register. Chat it up with your cashier. Leave a review and grab your recyclable branded tote bag they provide with your goodies and go home. Btw everyone is happy here lol Everyone is super calm, nice, friendly, accommodating etc. 2 police cars are stationed overseeing the cars from highway into lot btw. Epic experience! This was a great experience! I came to pick up a pre-order and they had someone (super friendly despite it literally being 100 degrees today) directing where to park for medical and recreational pick up/purchase. Could see how parking could get tight, but I had no issues! Went in, showed my ID and QR code and was taken right in. The staff is SO FRIENDLY. I was early to pick up my order and got to hang out for a bit while they put my order together and the person who rang me up was super friendly and gave recommendations for the next time I order. Despite being 30 minutes early for my time slot to pick up, and the place being PACKED, I was still in and out in 15 minutes, including with adding something on to my pre-order. Note that you need cash or debit and they'll round up your order but then pay you back in cash (mine was $236 so they charged me $240 and gave me the change back). Story: Few days ago I did my 1st purchase at this dispensary. The place is well organized including parking. Staff are friendly and very attentive to assist. Selections: There were appropriate amount of selections, but I feel it isn't enough. Experience: Originally ordered a Vapor King Louis because I needed an Indica. Unfortunately, as I already opened the outer plastic packaging, I then noticed, they gave me a Vapor Jack Here, a Sativa. As you can see, they package their products with the outer plastic packaging, then with the official box containing lab info, and lastly the hard plastic case with the vape. I already knew they wouldn't exchange since the vape Quality: I would have to compare, but I'd rank NV 1st, MA 2nd, NJ-3rd Conclusion: After speaking to the manager, we agree to assist with my next purchase. Funny moment: When I ask the manager if I can buy the Louis Vape, she said it was only for Med patients, but the cashier corrected her. Lol I don't if she had a Joe Biden moment, but that was alittle confusing and funny Suggestion to customers: For vapes, ask if you can open outer plastic in the store to confirm that the main box is the actual item since their method of packaging has the main box already opened. (Like how can I be sure an employee opened and switched it by mistake or on purpose.) Suggest to business: Only to offer better packaging for a peace of mind for the customer. Someone says they are 24 hours. Good luck getting in at 1 AM. NOT 24 HOURS! The location is terrible!! I have waited longer getting out of the parking lot than it took for my entire transaction. That is with 5 people before me on line. They charge ridiculous prices and it IS them, not the state. $50 FOR .5G of oil? Really? I get 2G disposable pens for $60. They also DO NOT have flower that is worth 4-5 hundred an ounce, but they sure do charge that much. They have also given me wrong items twice ( not bad after 100 visits ) but should be mentioned. My friend is allergic to some of the preservatives that are used on flower so it is imperative that the order is correct. On the upside.... I have NEVER met a staff member who was a jerk. I usually am in and out within 10 minutes. Other dispensaries charge around the same. It is the entire industry full of corporate greed, not just them. Other than products by Bango Distribution lots of seeds in their flower), Ascend DOES have quality products, which is why I still go there sometimes. Came here to purchase a common goods 28g. The total after my $5 discount from points was $200.98. When I went to pay the cashier told me they have a $200 limit on debit cards.
