We looked up nearby mechanics and decided to try Clines. We called and 10 minutes later Billy was there with his tow truck and brought us (My Wife and 5 children) back to his shop. They were extremely busy that day but to my shock and surprise, Billy said he would get us up and running that day because he didn't want us stranded and for our family to get back home. They were able to find a new alternator and get it installed in just a couple of hours. While the work was being done, they allowed us to commandeer their office and use it as a resting place for our children. Tammy (office manage) was the most gracious host. Being in their office for a few hours, I also got to witness their interaction with other customers. If I didn't know otherwise I would have guessed that everyone that came in was a family member because that is how they talked and treated them. Billy got us a very great price on the alternator and the labor cost was extremely honest and fair. Also, as we were leaving, Billy caught a mistake made by the last place we had our vehicle serviced 3 weeks prior to. He noticed a missing lug nut on one of our tires. He had us pull back up (after the shop had closed) and checked and tightened all the lug nuts on the car (they were all loose). I could go on and on about so many more details of what happened and what Cline's did to go above and beyond what they had to do, to help us out in a pinch. The only bad thing is they are located a few hours away from our home. Otherwise, we would take all of our vehicles to them for our mechanical needs. Cline's staff are genuinely good people!! GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING IN ADVANCE! $4020 bill after a Mini Cooper accident on I-81. The VA State trooper called Cline's Towing in Rural Retreat. The Mini Cooper was in the road, right side up, but inoperable due to broken radiator. Cline's loaded it onto a flatbed for transportation. Initial $3420 are related to towing after the accident. Remaining $450 and $150 are for storage and second tow. UPDATE September 13, 2025 I have received a reply to my complaint with the Virginia Attorney General. I am posting it here so that it can be seen alongside the invoice. Cline's is not proposing any adjustment to the many fees charged, rather they have taken the route of claiming the fees are legit and saying I was rude (I disagree). I'd be happier to post an update that they reached out with a reasonable proposal regarding the excessive fees. We just knew we would be have towed, have to get a hotel and wait until Monday to even get it looked at. I found Southwest Automotive on Google & it said open daily 8am-6pm so we called Troy and told him our dilemma, unfortunately he said he could not look at it until Tuesday, but then he was nice enough to send us information about a local towing service. We had let the engine cool down so we chanced getting off highway to an exit. That went ok & we were trying to come up with a game plan when Troy called us back & said a car he was working on needed a part so if we could get to him he would look at it. My husband had told him he thought it was just the thermostat. Troy went and got that part while we slowly made our way to him with our heat on full blast, keeping the engine heat low. Less than 2 hours later, Troy had replaced the part & tested our hoses, replaced our antifreeze & made sure the car did not overheat while revving the engine and A/C at full blast. We are back on the road with no issues. And, it did not cost us a fortune-very reasonable. Words cannot describe how thankful we are to Troy. We feel so very lucky to have found him. He is very hardworking & is starting up a lock smith service too! So, if you need car service repair or a lock smith-do not hesitate to call him!!

They said the valve cover was warped . Then the turbo is bad and next the ECM. Replaced turbo, no boost. Took truck home . Parked in garage for 30 minutes. Backed out and large oil spot in floor. This was after replacing valve cover and gasket at garage . Only went 30 miles from shop to home. I'm in the hole $5000 and truck won't run right and leaking oil after having new valve covers and gaskets. Would I go bad ? Not in this lifetime.
