    Wonton Nachos

Tried Ash and Oil during their stop at Two Rivers Cider and was not disappointed! (They're a food truck FYI) They special in gourmet fusion eats, which leads to their eclectic menu filled with interesting bites. My favorite thing has to be the Loaded Wonton Chips. Topped with Filipino-style BBQ Chicken and cheese, every bite was savory and delectable! It's an interesting twist on loaded nachos, mainly because of the wonton chips. Highly recommend this as it goes well with cider or beer! Orders were made quick and packaged well for to-go orders. Everything was still in one piece when they got home. Check their Instagram @ash_and_oil for updates on locations!

Tofu Asian Nachos (Vegan version). The wonton chips were so tasty. The tofu was LOADED on the nachos, which I greatly appreciated. They also have a tofu sandwich on their menu that I look forward to trying next time.

Lots of options piled high on a plate!

They did a fantastic job catering my 50 person backyard wedding. It was the perfect food for the "BBQ cookout" vibe we were going for that was a little more elevated than just simple hotdogs and burgers (plus the vegans in our group were happy with the tasty variety of options). The wonton chips were addicting, the meat was tender, and all the fun toppings were very tasty. Everyone was raving about the food and vibe of the food. I had the option of having the food truck itself rented but instead opted to go for drop catering. All their food travelled really well in this format and was easy for our guests to help themselves from the buffet we set up. They were very flexible with us the whole time, including delivery location & time, menu options and what they could do in our budget. Best of all the budget wasn't wallet-busting. We had a pretty tight wedding budget and I'm SO glad I didn't have to settle on Chipotle catering or pizza. Plus the leftovers kept well! If I had one downside, is that communication was slow in the start (1 week to get a reply via email). I get it though - they've got a food truck to run. But still - we were actively getting quotes from multiple vendors and we almost wrote them off for ghosting us until we actually got a reply back. Figuring out the menu was similar long response times. The communication itself though was clear and thorough, and as we got closer to our date response times were within a day or two, so it didn't end up being a problem. Still - awkward first impression!

I've been wanting to try this new (to us) truck and will definitely be looking forward to trying other menu items! Very nice people offered great service and Moonraker is always a great atmosphere

Was looking forward to Ash and Oil after seeing Yelp reviews. They were hired to serve lunch at a membership event. Unfortunately, it was completely disappointing. If you were to pass by and see a long line in front of their trailer, you might think it was very popular, but the line was due to extremely slow service. There were four couples in front of us, each were allowed to order one item per person, yet it took 40 minutes for us to get our order. We tried a Loaded Hot Dog and Steak Loaded Wonton chips which would have cost $13 and $17. For the price we expected each to be loaded with toppings, but the portions were somewhat small. From comments we heard around us, others felt the topping amount to be skimpy also, leaving you hungry. We would expect the price to be more reasonable for a food trailer because there is no building overhead and staff cost. $17 for a small tray of Wonton wrappers with toppings compared to $20 we paid for lunch yesterday at Macaroni Grill including bread, Soup, Salad and Pasta with meatballs. We want to support small businesses, but we would not recommend Ash and Oil due to service and value.

Yup, I went with the "crab mac & cheese grilled cheese" that's served with their homemade sea salt vinegar chips ($15). Crab mac & cheese alone is a wonderful idea, but to put it inside a perfect grilled cheese sandwich? Genius! The whole thing was a flavor bomb that exploded in my mouth! A creamy, cheesy, and rich filling inside buttery, crunchy sourdough bread. Are those angels I hear singing in the background? My food came up super fast, which was appreciated amongst the masses of a crowded beer festival. The only thing was that they weren't serving any beverages. Not sure if they ran out or if they were only doing food that day. Luckily there was plenty of beer around to wash down that crab mac & cheese grilled cheese. Yup. Definitely heard angels singing!

It was ok to me but my fiancée liked it because of the sweetness to contrast the wasabi and mayo. The shrimp tail had a crispy yet edible shell. Yummy chicken wings!…read more Had a chance to try James' Chicken Wings and Fries last night. It was to my understanding that these wings won the Golden Chicken Award at the Reno Wingfest and I can see (or rather, "taste") why! The wings were delicious, moist and flavorful, seasoned just right to perfection. $10 gives you six pieces of wings with lots of fries. He also gave me a teaser sampling of his Mac & Cheesy - 4 cheeses blended together and had me drooling for more! I suppose the $7 serving is shareable but who'd want to share! Get your own! LoL So delicious! I also had a taste of the Cheesy Garlic and Fries as well. Chicken with garlic and melted cheddar cheese that's a Truck favorite. We had a sampler of carnitas, spare ribs, baby backs and chicken. Amazing taste and smoke flavor. No fried chicken today but I'm told that's the hit. Will have to hit up James and the truck for fried chicken next time we're in the area. I recommend this place.
