Had the chance to try this food truck while visiting Bogle Winery, and I was impressed. I ordered the surf and turf, which was really good. The combination of flavors, sauces, and perfectly prepared ingredients worked very well together. Service was quick, especially considering the length of the line. Surf and Turf Bowl - 8/10 Very well seasoned beef and shrimp, main issue is that there wasn't much shrimp, mainly a ton of beef. For the price, a good amount of protein. I wish there was more guac, adds a nice acidity to the rest of the bowl. read more

I tried this place at UC Davis foot ball game. It was a food truck in the stadium. Those churros with ice cream were delicious even when the weather was super cold. The service was amazing fast, they made a mistake with my order but still good. The place look clean and really efficient. I need to find the real location of this business to visit them. read more

The banging bowl is on the right. They came out today to my local park, along with other food trucks. The pictures that they have in display looks so much better then the actual food. That is why I chose them, but was highly dissatisfied and disappointed. The shrimp was cold, which was odd! There wasn't much meat on it and mostly rice and lettuce. For $17 dollars it wasn't what it should've been. I would have rather gone to chipotle if I am being honest. read more

A solid start place if you just want a quick, relatively inexpensive meal that will keep you full. I apologize for my photo not looking super enticing but I do like to mix my bowls before eating them. The food truck shows up at the Capitol Mall Farmer's Market on Wednesdays and usually has a reasonable line. The staff work efficiently and quickly to fulfill orders. Overall, the food is solid. Not out-of-this-world impressive, but I enjoy all the different flavors and textures. For those of us that see food as fuel, this will definitely do the trick. For a weekday lunch, I spotted this food truck. Bangin bowls... sure enough, I agree. My South American grilled steak bowl was bangin! The gentleman staffing the window was terrific. Great attitude. Folks mention pricing. But the pricing for the serving size are comparable to brick n mortar type similar eateries. They serve bowls, burritos, and fries with a Latin American cuisine flair. Anyways, I ordered the South American grilled steak bowl without sour cream. I opted to have all the other fixings including the shredded cheese though. Yup, living a LI life on the edge. The steak slices were thin cut and not complaining on quantity serving. The steak was delicious. Darn flavorful. And it wasn't drenched in sauce. So they did some marinade magic. Yum. The sweet corn niblets tasted fresh, and was crisp to the crunch. However my order came out with sour cream drizzle and no bangin sauce drizzle. Ooops. I ordered no sour cream or as the gentleman said it as crema, and with bangin sauce. read more

Banging Bowls came to Roseville Fiddyment Farm Elementary and the food was excellent. I grabbed some while there with my grandkid, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. The portions were solid for the price. Everything was super reasonably priced too, which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely recommend if you see their truck around! read more

Bangin Bowls was one of the yummy food trucks at this past Thursday's Natomas Street Eats @ Orchard Park. They have a great menu that offers exactly what you would expect - different loaded bowls with different proteins: Surf and Turf is the one! @$14 this dish includes, rice, beans, lettuce, pico, guacamole and sour cream. This food truck was outside of my workplace, so it was pretty convenient. The workers are really nice and polite, and I didn't wait too long to receive my order. I ordered the Bangin' Fries, which has steak, chicken, sausage, corn, fries, and spicy mayo. With that kind of combination, it sounded like a go to order. The total ended up being a little over $17. Excited to eat it, but when I took a bite, it was pretty underwhelming. The meats weren't seasoned that well, and it just tasted pretty average. Davis lacks a great churro spot. I was checking out the food trucks now that the undergrads are back and was excited to see that this spot had churros! The other reviews made them look really good so I definitely had to try. The chocolate lovers churros comes with two churros, vanilla ice cream, chocolate drizzle, and an oreo crumble. Soooo good! Super filling too. I'll have to try some of their actual food instead of the dessert next time. A little pricey, but they were solid churros and this is a food truck. So I understand the cost and would recommend! read more

Negative stars!! They were parked at a State building 11/26- my order wrong the first time! They say choice of meat but NO...you can't have birria quesadillas! So reordered after waiting 20 minutes and then chicken quesadilla was cold!! The server had the audacity to call me "Chinga Tu Madre" when I asked for my money back! So Disrespectful!!I guess he didn't think I understood Spanish!! The guacamole was brown and food looked disgusting! How dare they serve this horrible food and charge high prices! On yet another Food Truck Friday at UCDMC, I had the opportunity to try out Bangin Bowls! I ordered their Cali Lovers Loaded Fries, which includes a generous helping of fries, topped with cheese, corn, guacamole, sour cream, and your choice of meat (steak, chicken, or shrimp). Overall this was a satisfying meal, and I enjoyed how all the flavors blended together. I can be a bit picky with my guacamole, so I was ecstatic to learn that theirs consisted of only avocados, salt, and lemon juice. I do want to mention that their fries were not as crisp as I would have liked; however, this was likely due to all the guacamole and sour cream they piled on top (I guess it's to be expected). Additionally, the steak while flavorful, was a little tough. An important note- I highly recommend paying in cash as the price is $1 less ($12 vs. $13.05). While not necessarily at the top of my favorites, I'd definitely dine here again! read more

The food truck was at Vernon st, Roseville. Ordered 3 bowls. The 3rd bowl i ordered, I asked for the guac, sour cream, cheese side to be on the side. Unfortunately the order took longer, the fries were cold, so they must have scooped the fries into the bowl before cooking the meat. I couldn't tell if the meat was steak. The meat is cut so small it's hard to tell if it is steak or chicken. It was covered in so much sauce. The reason I wanted the sauces to be on the side, was that I wanted the fries to be crispy. Overpriced and bland. I would not recommend paying $14 for the grilled chicken bowl. They rationed me some chicken and served it on a bed of undercooked rice. I was genuinely excited to eat when I first saw the pictures on their menu but when my meal arrived it did not look (or taste) like what I had ordered. Definitely not worth the price; I could go to Chipotle and buy two chicken burrito bowls for the same price and honestly next time I will. read more

Okurrrrrrr so I got the surf and turf fries they were mutha F****ing keep in mind I got mines without all special sauce because of food allergies but bowls are on point and they don't skimp on the toppping......now to the main event the banging churros deserts was a 10 out of 10 I literally said f***k my milk allergies im gonna do...lmao despite the out come later for it. Overall kool literally places the service was great they mess my 1st order up but fixed. Ill definitely be on the lookout for these guys. There aren't many options for Latin food in the Sacramento area, so I was pretty excited to see that Bangin Bowls was serving up some of that cuisine. I stopped by a food truck event where Bangin Bowls was and ordered right away. I got the Surf & Turf Bowl (~$12) and Sweet Fried Plantains (~$6). The Surf & Turf Bowl comes with butter garlic shrimp, grilled steak, rice, beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, corn, grilled peppers, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and topped with lemon garlic sauce, bangin sauce, Sriracha mayo. The Fried Sweet Plantains came with 6 fried plantains with cheese and sour cream on the side. I loved that the bowl was loaded with toppings but the main 2 ingredients, steak and shrimp, weren't super fresh. The shrimps were also pretty small. Believe it or not, after eating that whole bowl, I couldn't even say I was full. I enjoyed the variety of toppings but overall, it fell short for me. The plantains were delicious but when I opened it, the cheese was melted over 2 of them and the sour cream spilled which made the plantains soggy. I didn't even know it was going to come with cheese or sour cream but if they had put them in small containers with lids, the whole messy look could have been prevented! I also didn't like the quality of the plate used for my bowl. All the pictures I saw were the black plastic bowls so I was disappointed to see this cardboard type box which gets soggy and has higher chance of things leaking. It also doesn't do a great job at keeping things warm. I ate my food within 15-20 minutes of getting it, and it was certainly not hot or fresh. I was debating between a 3/5 and 4/5 for these reasons but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt this time. I liked my meal but it could have been fresher and the boxes they use aren't really suitable for this kind of food. It was a good try but I'm not too excited to come back. read more

Went to the Davis location today and it took almost 20 minutes for an order of fries. Once I finally got them the fries were so burnt they were almost hollow inside and completely brown (almost like they had refried them for too long in order to warm them up), looked nothing like the other pics and made it inedible. The employees were not rude but not very friendly either. read more

Staff was friendly, fries were crispy, meat was well seasoned, highlight of the dish: the orange sauce drizzled on top, yum! I have tried their vanilla and coconut ice creams and both are delicious. It's hard for me to pick one flavor out of them. Maybe on a summer day I would pick coconut over the vanilla. But it's easily one of the better vanilla out of there. My only complaint is that their restroom isn't clean enough even though they have a lock code on it and only restrict it to customers.

It was also disappointing because I went in there specifically to get an eclair, which is normally a decent size. For some reason, it was the half of the size and the same price.

They have a great selection of Gunther's ice cream so you really can't go wrong with a flavor. The warm donut paired perfectly with the cold, creamy ice cream, and the coffee flavor worked so well with it all together. Definitely something I'll save for an occasional treat, but it's also something I have already been thinking about often now. The staff was also super sweet and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

Like most other ice cream places, you can choose your flavors and toppings and eat it in a cup or cone. Customer service was great. The person serving us was really friendly and was great with my niece and nephew. The owner rung us up and was really friendly as well. I did not eat the ice cream, but the service and the way they looked makes me think it is decent ice cream. Great place overall and I may come back to try this if I go to Me's kitchen again.

On our recent visit they had a fun blue pop rock flavor and a mango sorbet, along with a delicious caramel ice cream. You can't go wrong with any of them. Since they're closing soon they are running out of certain flavors, so stop by quickly and don't be afraid to buy an extra cup to put in the freezer. We ended up leaving with extra rainbow sherbet, caramel, cookie dough, and pop rocks to put in our freezer at home and we'll be stopping in at least one more time before they close.

They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. We will dine in again for another date night occasion.

Wushiland Boba is my new favorite spot for boba in Sac!…read more I found out about it from a recent Feed Mei Mei YouTube video, and of course I had to check it out asap. I looked up the origin and it turns out Wushiland is a spin off from the Taiwanese boba chain 50嵐 (if you speak mandarin, it says Wushi Lan). Located on Sutterville in a tiny strip mall with minimal parking right next to the Freeport area where there are plenty of good eats, some of which are my favorite places in Sac to eat at, Wushiland is in an optimal location. Bright, clean, and with a decent amount of seating, you have the option to order from kiosks or up front at the counter. The AC was blowing cold and a nice respite from the El Niño heat. The workers are friendly and drinks are made quickly. Be advised that the drinks are voluminous, especially if you're like me and ask for less ice. Coming from someone who considers Chicha San Chen their favorite Taiwanese tea chain (but alas we don't have it in Sac), the difference in quantity is huge. Obviously if you're looking for a refined style of tea chain, Wushiland doesn't compare, but still the taste of their teas shine through and there is a good variety for everyone's palate. The first time I tried their earl grey tea because I have been craving an earl grey for a while, and that was deliciously smooth. The mini boba were so fun to chew on, and I usually prefer them over the regular size. They provide a ton of boba here as well. The next time I had their yakult green tea and that was very refreshing indeed. Both times my husband went with fruit teas, and had nice remarks to say about both of his drinks. He also tried their new QQubes and their texture was very QQ (I had a sample). We will most certainly return to Wushiland, especially since it's so accessible.
