I've tried Buenos Aires Grill several times; they show up at the Saturday Midtown Farmers Market in Sacramento. I've tried their steak sandwich and their Empanadas. I liked the steak sandwich: the bun was soft and the steak was tender and flavorful. But, their Empanadas are the stars of the show. I've tried their Breakfast Empanadas, Shredded Chicken Empanadas, and Ground Beef Empanadas. All are tasty and that dough has a slightly chewy texture that I really like! Oh, and they include a small container of chimichurri sauce with the sandwich and Empanadas - it's really good! Folks who work there are nice and friendly!

Argentinian Food Truck. The veggie empanadas were light and crispy, it comes with homemade chimichurri sauce. The sandwich was a classic with layers of steak, tomatoes, lettuce and chimichurri with a grilled bread. I ended up buying a jar of the sauce for $10. Excellent flavors.

Food in the Hood - WestPark Wednesday [Roseville] The menu looked good and I saw that they had empanadas. I've never had Argentine empanadas before not even when I visit San Francisco at the Ferry Building where I've heard about El Porteño. I ordered ground beef empanadas (they also offer them in shredded chicken and veggie flavors). I've had other versions of empanadas before. We have our own version in the Philippines and I've also tried Latin American empanadas but not Argentine. The pieces were smaller in comparison to what I'm used to but it had excellent blend of flavors and crunch, inside was generous on the meat. Rich and delicious. It was a little too salty for my taste but, otherwise, excellent. Anyway, I took my empanadas home and it was like "gone in 60 seconds." Kids got to it. I'd like to try their Milanesa Sandwich next time... looking forward to their return to Roseville. Instagram: @BuenosAiresGrillSac Review #2601

Delicious empanadas and sandwiches. The chimichurri is very flavorful and helps to balance out the richness of the ground beef empanadas. The chicken sandwich was simple but very well executed. The food came out quickly and paired great with a beer at SacYard. The portions aren't huge for what you pay but the food is fresh and very well seasoned.

Over all food is ok and 10 glass of wine unbeatable. I do think that server training should be improved. We were asked for food orders before starting with drinks which I thought was interesting. We got our food with no utensils... those little things. Oh by the time we were done with dinner, a few more patrons came.... That's good for the restaurant.

The menu called to us (we were hungry and it also boasted $5 glasses of wine!). The hostess seated us right away even though we didn't have a reservation. We got an excellent spot outside on the promenade with a beautiful river view (on a Saturday night close to 8pm). We ordered the olives and lamb sausage to start. The lamb sausage was in a red sauce and was so tasty and well prepared. For my main I got the milanesa napolitano with a side salad (instead of fries). The cutlet was huge and I loved every bite of it! I'm only in Napa for a few days so was happy we stumbled across this one-- I recommend this spot if you like meat and you're pretty hungry!

When making the reservation, I specifically noted that this was a birthday celebration and selected covered outdoor patio seating through the reservation system. When we arrived on time, we were told there were no tables available in the area your reservation platform had offered us. To make matters worse, after a staff member asked us which available table we preferred, we pointed one out, only for another waiter to immediately give that exact table away to a smaller party while we stood there as a party of six. That set the tone for the evening. Service throughout the night lacked professionalism and hospitality. One male waiter, approximately in his 40s with slicked-back hair, was consistently rude, dismissive, sharp in tone, and visibly uninterested in helping our table. His behavior affected our entire party and made us feel unwelcome. Management should seriously address his service etiquette and overall conduct toward guests. The most disappointing part was the complete lack of acknowledgment of my wife's birthday. Throughout dinner, we watched several other tables celebrating birthdays receive desserts and recognition from staff, while our table received absolutely nothing despite the restaurant being informed ahead of time. At the end of dinner, we were simply handed the bill with no acknowledgment whatsoever. My wife even turned to me and asked, 'What about my birthday?' and honestly I had no answer for her. The evening felt careless, disorganized, and poorly managed. We did not receive the seating we reserved, experienced rude service, and the special occasion we communicated in advance was completely ignored. Overall, it was a poor dining experience and not somewhere I would currently recommend."

The issue is that I was definitely pushing it on time if I planned on making my flight. As I was driving here, I had the thought that if there was an annoying parking situation or a line, I would just have to pivot and forego patronizing. But as it turns out, there was one spot available right next to the front door and no one inside. But then when I requested a nitro, the owner (I assume?) was extremely apologetic that their coffee machine broke. I asked for a few alternate types of coffee, but it turned out said machine controlled it all. So we shifted to the pastries. I read on the website that they had something with guava, so I asked for two of those: one for me, one for the wife. He even offered to heat mine up, which I will say yes to 100% of the time. I then jumped back in the car and was back into "don't' miss your flight mode." Of course, when you're in a hurry, you manage to hit every red light along the way, so I was doing a lot of yelling at electricity and God. But then I figured I might as well take the time to try the pastry that I'd originally planned on eating on the plane. As it turns out, it brought me into a nearly immersive experience of zen. The only bad thing is that I devoured it within seconds and then it was merely a thing of the past. My wife is fortunate that I have the amount of integrity that I do because I am sitting on the plane as I write this and I could easily inhale that 2nd pastry with her being none the wiser.
