The BAG is owned by the most terrific individual you'll ever know. This wonderful soul might have produced a short menu, but he has a wonderful personality and an equally positive demeanor. NO STARS‼ Table of ten friends gathered at D'Agostini Winery, whose wine we love, but the Buenos Aires Food truck was TERRIBLE (again). We ordered sandwiches this time because the empanadas were deep fried heavy dough with very little filling, and greasy with our last experience with them. Ordered chicken sandwiches tasted prefried and heated by microwave. $38 for two chicken sandwiches?!! Quiche was their last hope and it wasn't good either, and they ran out. Not to mention the wait. I've tried Buenos Aires Grill several times; they show up at the Saturday Midtown Farmers Market in Sacramento. I've tried their steak sandwich and their Empanadas. I liked the steak sandwich: the bun was soft and the steak was tender and flavorful. But, their Empanadas are the stars of the show. I've tried their Breakfast Empanadas, Shredded Chicken Empanadas, and Ground Beef Empanadas. All are tasty and that dough has a slightly chewy texture that I really like! Had high hopes for this food truck parked outside of Moonraker Brewing, but unfortunately was fairly disappointed with the taste and quantity of food provided. Very friendly staff. Clean appearing truck. Prices for empanadas and sandwiches are similar to what you'd expect for food trucks these days. However, for $14 I was expecting to get a bit more than 3 slightly-larger-than-bite sized empanadas. The flavors were OK - chicken seemed over seasoned and also drier, the beef was decent, and the buffalo chicken was OK (but likely because the cheese softened up the chicken as well). The crust was nice and flaky and freshly fried. I'm generally pretty supportive of food trucks, but I'd probably skip this one and try the next one down the line. read more

Food and service were excellent. I've always seen them at local breweries and events over the years but this was my first time actually trying their food. I got their loaded chicken fries and a steak sandwich. Both were really good especially with their chimichurri (bought a jar from them to bring home lol). The ambiance is probably the same whenever they go since they're usually posted up at breweries for the most part so good beer and good times are plentiful. My only complaint is the price. It cost me $30 plus tax for the sandwich and loaded fries. And $10 for a small jar of chimichurri. I'd still order from them again in the future. I want to try their empanadas. Food in the Hood - WestPark Wednesday [Roseville] The menu looked good and I saw that they had empanadas. I've never had Argentine empanadas before not even when I visit San Francisco at the Ferry Building where I've heard about El Porteño. I ordered ground beef empanadas (they also offer them in shredded chicken and veggie flavors). I've had other versions of empanadas before. We have our own version in the Philippines and I've also tried Latin American empanadas but not Argentine. The pieces were smaller in comparison to what I'm used to but it had excellent blend of flavors and crunch, inside was generous on the meat. Rich and delicious. It was a little too salty for my taste but, otherwise, excellent. Anyway, I took my empanadas home and it was like "gone in 60 seconds." Kids got to it. Last week they forgot my order because they were closing up their truck while I was still waiting out front for my order and because my buzzer never went off. I waited a really long time, like 20-30 mins maybe. Other trucks were squeezing by me & my baby while I patiently kept waiting. I then found out they were the wrong empanadas after I left. They gave me 3 veggie which is not filling being a breastfeeding mom so I went back to the truck but they had already left. I came back the following week and they gave me what I ordered but they didn't give me any chimichurri sauce. I don't think this was an accident especially because I didn't really get a sorry for inconvenience or anything of that sort. They didn't ask questions and seemed like they remembered me. We were pretty disappointed with the food! My husband and his father are from Argentina. We've had a lot of empanadas and dishes in the US. We tried the veggie, beef, chicken empanadas, milanesa sandwich and choripan. The only thing I liked was the chicken empanada and it was far from great. The chimichurri was great. So expensive and quality was subpar. Chorizo was dry and the bread used was not good. Maybe we came here for the wrong thing; the breakfast empanadas were sold out and it seems to be popular. Was at SacYard. Let me start by saying the woman taking orders, who turned out to be one of the owners, came around asking people if they liked the food. How amazing is that? Never happens, unlikely to happen in a restaurant, but I have seen it. Never have I experienced it with a food truck. She wanted to make sure people enjoyed their food. I had some feedback, and she received it. So, the food was very flavorful. I had the mix of empanadas. I was more fond of the beef than the chicken, but both were very good. I had an Italian sausage sando. I thought it was a little on the small side, and that was my feedback, but the flavor was really good. The chimichurri was great. The bread was very fresh. Just had a chance to try this place out and it was delish! We discovered Buenos Aires Grill through the Food In The Hood 916 Facebook group and decided to give it a shot. I got the steak sandwich, my wife got the Milanesa chicken sandwich, and my daughter got the three empanadas (which I had to try) including two chicken and one beef. The steak sandwich was perfect. Thinly sliced steak that was tender with the perfect amount of chimichurri. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp, a nice fresh factor on the sandwich. The bread was soft and clearly fresh, too. My wife said the chicken sandwich was equally good and the breading was just right on the chicken - not too much but with a solid layer. The empanadas were good, too. Admittedly, the beef was better than the chicken but it's Argentinian food so that should be expected.
