I really enjoy going inside this bookstore! It is organized nicely and have plenty of things to select from. They have a variety of book options depending on what genre of books you like. There is even a section for children books. You may also find some local art here which is cool! I can't speak much of the service as I didn't purchase anything this time and no one ever came to ask me if I needed help. So you need additional help, you may need to go to the cashier and ask. Also, books and art is regularly priced. Nothing was over or under valued.

I visited Posman Books after initially leaving Ponce City Market. I realized that I needed a book to occupy my time, so I went back to get a book. I ended up getting there 30 min before closing. They had a huge selection of books, but at firs I had problem finding one because there were no genre/sub genre signs. I ended up picking up a thriller and hoped for the best. It was a great read, so it was definitely worth the trip!

I am suchhhh a sucker for a book store so I was pumped when I saw Posman on the Ponce City Market directory. We drove to Atlanta and I unexpectedly finished a book on the way down which left me with absolutely nothing to occupy my brain on the 5 hour trek back to North Carolina. In steps Posman! I had so much fun browsing the neatly stacked books while enjoying that new book smell that infiltrates the room. (If you know you know.) I was going to pick up a book club book and the computer said they had two copies in stock, but unfortunately after we searched the shelves, the book was nowhere to be found. I was able to find a thriller I heard great things about so all was not lost. The staff members were so kind and they do a great job keeping the store organized. My only issue was the fact that I couldn't find any genre labels posted. A "thriller" or "non fiction" or "memoir" sign would have made my search a little easier.

Super cool book shop with a variety of books and small gifts for anyone on your list! The staff is friendly and welcoming. They seemd well staffed with both registers open and a few restocking or answering questions. The space can be a little tight when it's busy but excellent setup despite this! Definitely recommend for folks visiting like myself looking to get ATL gifts or a new read. There's local and handmade items as well to pick from.

I love this bookstore! I am at Ponce City Market at least twice a week, and I always stop by Posman Books. They switch up their displays consistently, so there are always new things to browse. Not only do they have a huge book selection, but they also have cute trinkets, stickers, puzzles, tote bats, etc. The staff are always super friendly. One downside is this place is very small, and when it gets crowded, it is kind of hard to move around. Kinda claustrophobic! They sometimes also do author signings and events, which is something to look out for!

One of my favorite book stores. They had an authors hosting here inside the store for her cook book . Very cute book store with alot of diversity and girl power books. I love the kids section. They found the perfect mix of books in this small store.

Overpriced, however for those who really like spending time at book stores like myself, it is a really cute gem of a store located at a fun place...Ponce Market. It also carries unique items/stationery which is what I ended up buying. I am guilty! I browse books at stores for hours and borrow the chosen ones from the library. This bookstore is small with no sitting spaces. In other words, you can browse but if you want more than that, you must buy the item. It's called "making sure it is a profitable bookstore". Lol

Love pun-y buttons. Adding to my bag that I take to book club meetings!

There is paid parking lot right outside the front of the store with several other areas for parking nearby but we walked over from MARTA and it was a breeze. The store is huge! There are sooooo many books and I love the layout. The signage makes it super easy to find what you're looking for and the staff are super helpful. The bookstore itself is so inviting and the kiddos loved playing in the play area where they could interact with other kiddos, read a book, and play with trains. There is a wide selection of books for allll sorts of folks, genres, ages and I appreciated how inclusive the selections were. We definitely came out with a ton of books and I'm sure we'll be back soon for more! Read more books!!!!

I love this little bookstore!…read more Well, there's nothing little about the space and endless opportunities to find literary greatness at this bookstore in the heart of Decatur. I've had the opportunity to visit Little Shop of Stories numerous times since I moved to Atlanta, but my visits totally hit differently now that I'm a mom. As someone raised by a teacher (with help from Reading Rainbow and Levar Burton), I've passed this onto my son although he can't read yet, lol. So we are always adding to his little library as he grows. Beyond books, Little Shop of Stories also carries so many fun educational toys for kids and books for readers of all ages. It's so easy to get lost in their large collections, but luckily they keep it incredibly organized and make it easy to find whatever your imagination can dream of. After finding a few goodies to take home to my little one, I strolled around the store a bit more and took in the whimsical vibes. Just being in there lifted my mood! Seriously a wonderful place to transport yourself into the magical world of books and discovery, no matter your age.

My Review of the Book Crook: Waiting 48 Years to Leave This Google Review…read more On my 13th birthday decades ago, my parents opened a small new-and-used bookstore called The Book Trading Post here in the Atlanta area. They ran it successfully for 12 years. My father had connected with Alex, the owner of the original Book Nook on or near North Decatur/Clairmont, who promised a great variety of around 30,000 books. What arrived instead were massive duplicates -- 30 to 50 copies of the same titles. It was a horrible, upsetting experience that stayed with my father. At the time I was 13 and didn't really know what it all meant -- I just knew he was upset. My father passed in 1981 after chemotherapy and radiation at Emory. Recently, I brought in a large personal collection to the current Book Nook Decatur location -- over 130 albums plus many books, including rare 1940s-1960s sci-fi classics and a signed copy of Miracle in Atlanta. As a longtime collector of coins, books, comics, historic color brochures, and more, I knew the value easily exceeded $500, likely more. I first spoke with the manager on March 25th of this year. He gave a standard percentage quote and left a message. When I returned on March 27th to collect payment, I received just $70. They kept all the books -- which filled the entire counter on the right when you walk in -- and roughly half the albums. I left with two small suitcases. Walking around the store afterward, I saw their selling prices and realized they stand to make a substantial profit. I spoke with the manager (Doogie, like Doogie Howser from the 1980s show) and then with an employee named Scott, who has been there for years. I shared some of this backstory. Scott was pretend friendly and even suggested I didn't really need to write a bad review. That conversation left me feeling extremely uncomfortable, and that discomfort is exactly why I decided to write this review now. The owner is very old (likely in his late 80s or early 90s) and does not come into the store. I felt the manager was dishonest in the way the offer and process were handled. It all felt like history repeating itself in the worst way -- like a scene from Red Dawn: "Avenge me." In the end, I just took the money to be done with it. This isn't just about one low payout. Most people don't know the old story of The Book Trading Post and that first disappointing deal with the Book Nook. Now the full 48-year circle -- from my parents' store in the 1970s to today -- is part of the public record. If you have anything of real value (books, albums, collectibles), think carefully before bringing it here. Get your own realistic expectations and consider other options. P.S. For comedy purposes, I've officially renamed this place The Book Crook.

I overheard someone say, "This place is huge" and it is. It is much bigger than you think when you see it from the outside. There are so many twists and turns to explore. We took our time and wandered around. You can easily lose track of time. There are a few staff members up front that will help with any questions. They don't have an itemized inventory but they can point you in the right direction. I would definitely recommend this place.
