It's been a few weeks since I saw Shay at Ash Hair, and I'm still receiving so many compliments on my hair that I just had to come leave her some love! I've been seeing Shay for 10 years now, and just adore this new salon. It's in such a great spot and the parking is amazing. Shay nailed it as always :) She really understands my style and has always taken my inspo pics and elevated the look to suit me. She was so accommodating to me being a few months postpartum with my babe in tow. My mom was able to walk around with him (lots to check out nearby!) and when he needed to nurse, Shay & all of the ladies made me feel comfortable to do so while I was processing. Second time visiting Ash Hair. The first time I felt it was decent, not great. Decided to go back cause it's really close to my house. Got another stylist and she was sweet. I got partial highlights. when I went up to the register, I thought I booked for $195 and was charged $215 base price and gave a tip. When I got home, I checked my booking and double checked the website again and both said $195. I contacted the owner, Ashley, and she said "I'm so sorry I'll fix the website." No mention of a refund for $20. I emailed her again asking for a $20 refund and no response. As a repeat customer and only asking to be charged for what I booked, I expected a better response. I'll be looking for another salon. read more

I would like to talk about Danni, and Bella Danni did my sons hair last Friday..He was so scared to get a bad cut.. He has had a few cuts he was not happy with..But not today..Danni really cared about what Aedan wanted to look like..His fears..He looked amazing, she really showed him what a nice haircut can do for you..Thankyou so much Danni. I have been getting my hair done with Ashley for at least 4 years and I am so happy I found this place! I get usual bayalage and I have been going through a transition of colors to match my growth and Ashley has been amazing in providing insight and listening to my requests. She gets it exactly as requested I don't know how she does it. I always leave the salon feeling happy with my result. However, if there was ever an issue I know she would be very receptive and responsive. The staff at the salon is very nice and the vibe of the salon is the best. We get offered drinks as you come in, the music is relaxing and the salon always feels clean. I'm a big fan of this professional, friendly, classy establishment! All of the stylists are always friendly and seem to really enjoy working their craft upon their beloved clients. I see Shaylean. I've followed her throughout her career and I do so because I am impressed with her creativity, overall talent, and adore the way she always makes me feel valued. She's a thoughtful, accommodating salon professional. She's talked me off a couple of impulsive plans that would've really damaged my hair's integrity (think "dye me super blonde" when I don't have that type of hair that can endure that intensity). She takes pride in her work. Has always been on time for me and even gone above and beyond my expectations. She values her tribe of clients and shows how much they matter with each visit. I couldn't recommend Shay more. She was even voted "Top Extensionist" in the Bay. I mean come on. She's a pro for sure. I am over the moon with my haircut that I received from Danni on Friday. This was the first time Danni had cut my hair. I have not liked my hair and have been so frustrated with it for over a year. My hair looked great On Friday but continued to look unbelievable for 5 days. I have never had my hair cut and have it last this long. The real test is when we blow dry our own hair. Shaylene is consistently anxious and rude every appointment. Her hair color is inconsistent the first time was great. After that her quality declined. I also had a friend who felt the same way. She is great a first and then becomes progressively worse. I booked an appointment for roots and partial highlight. She changed the appointment to squeeze in another client and asked me to come in early. Then refuses to do the service I booked. read more

I am writing to profess my newfound undying loyalty with Ash Hair Co.. A few months ago I received a cut and color from Jules. Right away all of the friendly professionals at Ash Hair made me feel so welcome. Jules sat me down and was able to decode my ridiculous, often unintelligible, rhetoric detailing what I wanted done to my hair. I showed a few photos, but contradicted myself constantly! As I do. Jules said "I think I got it ;)" and boy did she ever! I am a bit embarrassed to announce, by way of always leaving things to the last minute, and moving around constantly, I don't usually see the same hairdresser more than once. I am also quite picky - and no one is ever able to really do the job absolutely perfectly. That was until Jules.... Jules was meticulous, and completely detail-oriented in a way I have never found before. It made me feel like she actually CARED. All the issues I've had in the past with my color or bangs or whatever it may be were nowhere to be found. She was deeply intuitive, in every way, and had such an eye for my hair on the first try. I had the most amazing makeover Friday with Ashley with color, cut & hair extension, highlights & turned out amazing! So happy with the outcome that I can't stop looking at my hair! I have very thin, fine hair and have used clip-in extensions before but without much success b/c my hair is so thin. Twice she has made my semi-curly gray hair full of cowlicks look amazing, and her precision cuts keep my hair looking good as it grows out for six weeks or so.
