I'm a member of the armed forces, I told them this when I booked Spike in, I explained that I may pick Spike up a day or two earlier, or later than the date I confirmed. At the time they were more than happy with that. Long story short, I picked Spike up earlier and the owner of the kennels was very rude. I was led to believe from Frensham Kennels that the dogs were exercised 4-5 times a day, I can tell you that when I picked Spike up it was like he hadn't been exercised since I'd put him in there. Normally when I pick him up from kennels/or a friend, he's absolutely tired out, but in this case I had to take him out for an hour just to calm him down. I was told his kennel was extra large and heated, that is not what I saw when I picked him up. My dog is part of my family and I expect him to be well looked after when I'm paying that amount of money per day, I will never use these Kennels again.

There was no pressure to make a quick decision and they let me have time to think it through. When it came to putting my cat to rest, it was done in such a lovely way, and I will forever be grateful to have had those last few moments with him. They then went through the process of next steps and assumed me I could take all the time I wanted to think what I would like to do next for him. Even in really sad circumstances they provided lovely care and support, thank you.

I cannot emphasise enough to anyone reading this how distressing it was for my wife to phone around other vets to come and help us by putting our beautiful boy to sleep as he was deteriorating by the hour as they would not help us. We are seeking independent advice from a vet mediation service but until then everyone needs to be aware how Vets4Pets Newbury failed our family and more importantly our beautiful boy in the worst possible way at the worst possible time, and we will never forgive or forget the pain they have caused. I urge anyone reading this to not use them as they will not only rip you off they will not care one bit about your pet.

I complaint and was ignored. I went to see another Vet who advised my bunny was in immediate need of intensive care otherwise he would die. I demanded these Vets to pull their finger and they performed a theatrical 30 minute gi stasis care in front of us which most likely they googled. Completely inept also showed to be unskilled when diagnosing inexistent ailments just for the sake of profiteering and submit my poorly weak and anorexic bunny still in Gi stasis meds to unsuitable unnecessary treatments. I managed to move my bunny to another Vet but they advised the condition had deteriorated and his stomach was dilated with gas - because the Vet never gave him necessary meds or admitted him to intensive care. These Vets should be stripped of their titles and closed down, by the looks of it I wasn't the only one affected with their negligence. It is disgraceful that authorities continue allowing these practices to exist jeopardising animal health and well-being. Shame on you PETS AT HOME for advertising these inept Vets!

I had an emergency on Tuesday with one of my animals and therefore called to confirm they were available. The receptionist Julie Whyte was more interested in finding the animal on the computer and keeping me on the line 15mins rather than the care of the animal. The aftercare by Julie was disgusting, very rude woman, no customer service skills and no empathy regarding the upsetting event we had just been through. Unfortunately my pet needed to be put down and the vet Emma Holt agreed I could pay the £150 bill on collection of the pet which was going to be cremated. Within an hour of leaving the vets I received a phone call saying they had given me the wrong information and they needed the full bill paid within 48hours. I complained and received a phone call as requested from the Clinical Director Carl Gorman, his attitude was a disgrace, he was incredibly rude & stated that even though our family has used the vets for years, this doesnt mean anything and he doesnt trust clients to pay. He also told me to collect my dead animal today and take him elsewhere to be cremated. I will never use this vets again and hope that no-one else has to go through the extra hurt, hassle or quite fankly horrific events after a pet has died.

The staff are all brilliant at their job; all professional, courteous, and off course, they are all animal lovers. I was touched by one of the vets who saw me and my family coming in with our very sick cat a few months ago, and went off to get a box of tissues for us. 20 minutes later we were all crying in the treatment room as we said goodbye to our little bad tempered fat cat.
