We've been going every 6 or so months ever since and we absolutely love it there! We used to live across the street but moved out to Round Hill last year and still make the drive as we aren't willing to switch. I remember hating the dentist when I was little. My four year olds love going and actually get excited before an appointment now. So much so that after our last appointment, my daughter told me she wanted to be a dentist when she grows up. :) They are very accommodating and the office vibe is so friendly and warm. They make the kids feel at ease and we are grateful we found them back when we did. Thank you to everyone at Little Smiles for making their experience so great there.

The office environment and the thoughtful setup are super appreciated. There are plenty of spaced out waiting areas, and a little nook with a TV playing kids movies. They also have TVs mounted overhead above the seats to keep kids entertained while they do their cleaning. They provide the kids a token at the end of the visit to claim a prize from a toy vending machine. Staff are great with kids, full of tricks and methods to help your child ease through the visit. I also appreciated the extra attention for first time patients, as they showed us around and explained how the visit works. 100000% recommend them!

Antonio quickly greeted us at the door and helped get us checked in as new clients. He was incredibly pleasant and patient with us as we juggled the new surroundings with our daughter. The office is very modern and full of things for children to do while they wait. They even have a small theater for movies (so cute that they have star lighting in the ceiling in there). The area where we took our daughter to have her teeth checked/cleaned was well organized and ready with further entertainment/distraction while they patiently counted and inspected her teeth. Dr. Lynda was warm and inviting as she greeted us and our daughter. She even sang while doing her exam. After examining her teeth, she was able to explain things to us in a manner that we understood. From there, we were directed to Maria who discussed further treatment and was also very patient with us as we tried to entertain our 2 year old while having a conversation with her. So far, we have enjoyed our first experience with this practice and look forward to seeing them again.

This is an ok place to take your kids for checkups or cleaning. This is the last place you should…read moretake your children if they are nervous or scared. The dentist has zero patience for an upset child and no bedside manner. She is impatient and will simply disengage and write a referral if your child is having difficulty calming down. My son needed to be calmed down and she threatened to end the treatment for his extraction. I asked for a moment with him and she walked out in a huff but we were able to get that treatment done. He's 12. Once he let me put the mask on his forehead he calmed down and I was able to ask Dr. De La Cruz to continue. With my 6 year old daughter she took a look at an abscess and said she couldn't perform the extraction until a regiment of antibiotics. Ok. So my daughter disliked the antibiotics and I called the office to ask if they could prescribe something that wasn't so bitter. I was told to ask the pharmacy to add flavor. The pharmacists said that wasn't possible with the penicillin. Ok so we just grunted through a couple of weeks and returned. 5 minutes into the treatment I'm called in and my daughter is wearing the nasal mask but softly crying. The dentist is clearly put out by the inconvenience of an upset child and won't give me 5 minutes to calm her down. She just tosses down her swab and says I'm going to refer her to a surgeon. So if it was just my son or just my daughter that I had to intervene and convince my dentist to give me a moment, I would assume the problem is us. What's the hurry? We've been in the treatment room for 5 minutes. There isn't a line in the lobby. Why am I needing to come in and calm my kid and if I need to do that, can I have an actual moment to calm them? Dr De La Cruz is impatient and disinterested in working with nervous or scared children. Being good with kids is what I look for with pediatricians. Not a great choice unless your kids are calm and need no amount of any basic bedside manner from their dentist. Get this, as a parting shot, she writes on the referral extract teeth using IV. She's referring out to a surgeon and recommending that they use a needle to deal with an anxious child.

Do I hear 6 stars?! Yes…read more Dr. Skordalakis is an excellent dentist - smart! knows what he's doing! - and he is exceptionally calm and gentle with children (actually, with everyone). He will refer you to another dentist/specialist if he feels the situation may (may) be outside of his "I've got this" zone. He clearly cares a lot about consistency, because every member of his team is courteous, competent and engaging. If you are seriously considering a new dentist for your children, or your child's first dentist, then you really should try Dr. S. You will not be disappointed. He's kind of like the "dog whisperer" of pediatric dentistry.

Kids always get a coin for a job well done - even the sibling tag alongs. I usually take all kids at once and they try to make it time efficient - each kid gets their own hygienist so they get cleaned at the same time. Then dr. S will meet all 3 kids to give me a run down. Time saver! What I really love about him is that I can be honest with my "granola" ways and he's not one to roll his eyes at me. He doesn't encourage X-rays because of radiation exposure, he's ok that i choose fluoride free for the kids because he's seen flourosis and is very conservative regarding usage. I've also asked about the diy toothpastes and he said "ok, give it a try and let's see how your kids teeth look". He's willing to try new things and if he doesn't know something he'll be honest with you (I asked him about myobrace and he didn't know what it was). There aren't any holistic dentists in the area that will take insurance so we stick with regular dentists but among them I'd say dr s is the best. He lets me, as mom, make the final choice and encouraged me when he sees that I'm trying my best. (I just wish I can find myself a dentist like him!) If I had a "con" it'd be that I don't like that they diffuse essential oils in their foyer area. I'm not against it, just a very conservative user bc children with allergies could possibly react to it (nowadays you never know who's allergic to what). But thankfully none of my kids have reacted and it's less than a 5-10 minutes wait so it's not worth the fight for me.

The wait room and other spaces are nice and clean. They have fun video games to play while you wait, which we never have had to do for very long. Again, we'll-oiled machine. Saturday hours vanished, weekday hours are difficult for anyone with a full‑time job, and the new text‑based communication feels dismissive rather than supportive. Asking about weekend availability shouldn't trigger messages suggesting they "update my records" if I'm no longer interested in being a patient. This practice has strong clinical talent, but the customer service side needs immediate attention. Other reviews on YELP in the last couple of years seem to mirror my disappointment. ALSO, they may wish to remove the snarky, outdated and frankly cringe‑y "...we cater to cowards..." wording in their brochures and on their waiting room tables. It's just unnecessary. No one enjoys going to the dentist, it's a necessary experience. Here's a few examples to consider: "For anyone who prefers kindness over stress." "Perfect for patients who like their dentistry gentle, not scary." "We take the fear out of dental care -- no judgment, just comfort."

My husband and two daughters had been…read moreto this practice and things were mediocre ... until their appointment in April and my first appointment with them in June. The new dentists we saw were no longer in-network and we were charged out-of-network costs. Aetna was amazing and did a one-time exception to change those visits to in-network. We had already paid our bill in full, so when First Impressions Dental received the check from Aetna you would think they would reimburse me the amount I had already paid. Nope! Not only did they not get the refund process started (I had to call twice), they claimed we still had a balance. This so-called balance was for "hospitality and in-office write-offs". One was from 2023. Interesting how this popped up out of nowhere two years later... hmm. They cashed the insurance check and instead of paying us back what insurance says we were owed, they're taking back all hospitality and write-offs and returning SOME of the insurance check. Basically being vindictive and taking money from an insurance check to pay themselves back. I've filed an official complaint with Aetna and will update this review once the complaint process with insurance is completed.
